Character Sheet

Player Name: Timothy Ferrelli (Akito, Timothy Hernandez)
Google Handle: Akito3379@yahoo.com

Timothy Hernandez
Rank: Seasoned Experience: 40(TDF) Advances Left: 0
Race: Human
Iconic Framework: Combat Cyborg
Attributes: Agility d10, Smarts d8, Spirit d8, Strength d12+2, Vigor d12
Charisma: -2; Pace: 8; Parry: 9; Toughness: 22 (12 MDC); (size: +1); Strain: 3
Skills:
  • Fighting d10+2
  • Repair d6 -2
  • Climbing d6 -2
  • Shooting d10
  • Gambling d6 -2
  • Notice d4 +2
  • Piloting d10
  • Cooking d8
  • Knowledge (Battle) d6
Hindrances
  • Blood Thirsty (Major): Your hero never takes prisoners unless under the direct supervision of a superior. This can cause major problems in a military campaign unless his superiors condone that sort of thing. Your killer suffers –4 to his Charisma, but only if his cruel habits are known.
  • Enemy(Minor): Someone out there hates the character and wants him dead. The value of the Hindrance depends on how powerful the enemy is and how often he might show up. A Minor Enemy might be a lone gunslinger out for vengeance. A Major Enemy might be a supernatural gunslinger who wants your hero dead. If the enemy is one day defeated, the GM should gradually work in a replacement, or the hero may buy off the Hindrance by sacrificing an Advance.
  • Illiterate (Minor): Your hero cannot read. He can probably sign his name and knows what a STOP sign says, but can do little else. He also doesn’t know much about math either. He can probably do 2+2=4, but multiplication and the like are beyond him. Illiterates can’t read or write in any language, by the way, no matter how many they actually speak.
Edges
  • Fleet Footed: The hero’s Pace is increased by +2 and he rolls a d10 instead of a d6 when running.
  • Block: Warriors who engage in frequent hand-to-hand combat are far more skilled in personal defense than most others. They’ve learned not only how to attack, but how to block their opponent’s blows as well. A fighter with this Edge adds +1 to his Parry.
  • Improved Block: As above, but the hero adds +2 to his Parry.
  • Upgradable: This hero can handle a lot more cybernetic invasion in his body than most. He increases his Maximum Strain by +6. Note Combat Cyborgs and Cybernetic Techno-Warriors already have this Edge.
  • First Strike: Once per turn the hero (if not Shaken) gets a free Fighting attack against a single foe who moves adjacent to him. This automatically interrupts the opponent’s action and does not cost the hero his action if he is on Hold or has not yet acted this round
  • Hold the Line! Requirements: Seasoned, Command, Smarts d8+ This Edge strengthens the will of the men under the hero’s
command. The troops add +1 to their Toughness.
  • Natural Leader Requirements: Novice, Command, Spirit d8+ This Edge signifies a special link between a leader and his men. With it, he may share his Bennies with any troops under his command.
  • Danger Sense: Your hero can sense when something bad is about to happen. Anytime he’s about to be the victim of a surprise attack, ambush, or other
nasty surprise, he gets a Notice roll at –2 just before the attack or event occurs. If successful, the character knows something is about to happen and may take appropriate action against it. This means the hero is on Hold for the first round of a combat. Should the hero fail his roll, he still follows the normal Surprise
    rules, if applicable
    (see page 65).
Powers & Cybernetics
  • Audio Package:Ear canal replacements, embedded speakers and microphones, and a number of other enhancements give the cyborg an array of listening and projection options—+2 to hearing-based Notice checks; hyper-sonic and sub-sonic ranges to his hearing; a loudspeaker capable of projecting audio over a 100-yard radius; automatic sound dampeners that give a +2 to resist any audio-based attacks or deafening effects. Finally, the audio package allows sounds and conversations to be recorded and played back later. (Strain 1; 40,000 credits)
  • Bionic Strength Augmentation:Fully bionic arms and legs, reinforced artificial musculature, and other techniques raise the cyborg’s Strength. Each step past d12 adds a +1. (Strain 1; 9,000 credits)
  • Core Electronics Package:This set of electronic and data systems grants the following—a mini-computer; a computer interface jack for direct linking to other systems, which grants a +4 to appropriate Repair checks and Common Knowledge rolls; a radio with a 20-mile range. (Strain 1;22,000 credits)
  • Cyber Wired ReflexesThe cyborg’s Agility is increased one step for each application of these artificial nervous system enhancements and hard-wired celerity systems. Each step past d12 adds a +1. This particular enhancement is a requirement for many other upgrades. (Strain 1; 12,000 credits)
  • Optics Package:One or both of the cyborg’s eyes are replaced, granting the following: +2 all sight-based Notice checks; thermal imaging and night vision (ignore illumination penalties); 50× magnification for distance; 20× macro lens for up-close detail; glare filters that give a +2 on checks to avoid blinding flashes and related light burst effects. Finally, the Optics Package provides the ability to record still or moving images and store them for later viewing or display. Switching modes is a free action.
  • Synthetic Organs Replacement:Getting rid of meat in place of artificial systems dramatically enhances a cyborg’s overall resilience. This raises the character’s Vigor; each step past d12 adds a +1. (Strain 1;100,000 credits)
  • Armor Plating: The same materials used to create worn armor can be directly attached to a cyborg’s frame for added protection. Each application adds +4 M.D.C. Armor. (Strain 1; 40,000 credits)
  • Expanded Detection and Security Array (1): This combination of radar, sonar, and motion detectors grants the cyborg 360° awareness of his surroundings. This grants a +2 to Notice checks and the Danger Sense Edge.
  • Hand-to-Hand Reaction Wiring (1): Requiring at least one level of Cyber-Wired Reflexes, this upgrade grants a +2 to all Fighting checks.

Timothy Hernandez (Combat Cyborg)

Post by Timothy Hernandez »

Background
PFC Timothy Hernandez came in from patrol with the rest of his unit. Walking into the barracks the normal sounds of young men anticipating the time to come. “Time to go see Amy after a good shower. We are going to play pool, get some drinks, find a hotel. Life is good.”

SSGt. Ontario looks at Hernandez “Hernandez, how many times do we have to tell you you can not name your hand?” Chuckles of laughter can be heard from the platoon.

The barracks intercom squawks “Hernandez toHQ, Hernandez to HQ.” The Platoon falls silent. SSGT. Ontario looks at Hernandez, “Well, don’t just stand there. Move your ass.”

“Yes sir” Hernandez grabs his helmet and runs out the door of the barracks. What the hell did I do now? I only got us lost for a day.

Hernandez enters the HQ and is greeted by a man in his mid 50’s, with the rank of Colonel. “Come with me Private Hernandez.” The walk is a short trip into a windows less side room with just a metal table and two metal chairs. The Colonel walks up to one of the chairs and sits down pointing to the other chair. “Sit”. As Hernandez sits down, he sees a rather thick folder in front of the Colonel. The Colonel sits there for a few minutes flipping between the pages, Hernandez saw references of his mother, medical records, military records and discharge papers. The last part confused him, he was still in the military. “Private First Class Timothy Hernandez. Born June 23rd 87 P.A. in the Burbs. Mother is applying to become a citizen. Joined the military to facilitate that request. Nothing special in basic training, nothing special in ATC. Assigned to the 152nd infantry as a rifleman. Any Questions so far?”

“No Sir”

“Good. I am Colonel Lyboc. I need someone just like you. You will be on deep assignment in a location named Castle Refuge. You will be my main set of eyes of what is happening. Your intelligence will save the lives of many innocent people. What do you think?”

“I don’t know sir, like you said, i’m not anything special.”

Colonel Lyboc pulls out a couple of sheets of paper and slides them in front of the Private with a pen. “This is your request for full conversion procedure.”

Looking confused Hernandez replies “But I don’t want to be a Cyborg sir.”

Colonel Lyboc pulls out a unrelated piece of paper. “This is the approval paperwork for your mother. Effective immediately. This is already signed by the General and will be processed at once. That is if Mrs. Hernandez makes the ultimate sacrifice to protect the people of the coalition. If the Private is not so brave, his mother might not make it the night in the burbs. She doesn’t live in a very safe neighborhood.” PFC Hernandez tightens his jaw, picks up the pen and scribbles on the paper work. “I’m sure Mrs. Hernandez will breathe much easier now that she will be in the city. Now then, here is your confession to selling Class 1 magic items to SSGT. Ontario.”

“But I didn’t do that sir.”

“Consider this a test. You pass this test, I can use you. You fail this test, I can’t use you.”

“But what will happen to SSGT. Ontario?”

Colonel Lyboc is starting to look frustrated looks at Private Hernandez in the eyes “Don’t worry about the SSGT. You need to worry about your future. You sign that document or you don’t walk off the table. Do I make myself clear?”

“Yes sir.” Looking defeated Hernandez looks down, his hands slightly shaken scribbles the document.

With a smile, the Colonel takes the signed documents, places them in the folder and closes it. The Colonel looks at the Private and with a smile “Welcome to the agency.”

Falcon 300 Jet Pack: Specifically designed
to work with the T-43 Explorer body armor
(though a skilled mechanic could make it
work for almost any suit of armor), this jet pack
is well-liked by mercenaries, messengers,
and homesteaders alike. The jet pack has
effectively unlimited range, but it begins to
overheat if used continuously for more than
three hours (requiring 1d6 hours to cool
down). The stats for the flight system are
Flight Pace 20, Climb 0. (35 lb, 400,000 credits)

Wired Skill Port (U): If a character has
Cyber-Wired Reflexes, he can get a port
which accepts a single chip granting or
improving an Agility-linked skill. It’s
a free action to change a chip in a port
but requires a full round before the new
information is available. A chip adds or
increases one specific Agility-linked skill
up to four die types. The Strain refers to
the embedded port itself, chips cause no
Strain on their own. (Strain 1, 5,000 credits
for port, 3,000 credits for a one die type
skill chip, 7,500 credits for a two die type
skill chip, 15,000 credits for a three die
type skill chip, and 40,000 credits for a four
die type skill chip)

Chip: Piloting 1d10, riding 1d10

Subject Matter Expert Port (U): The
character has an external port where he can
plug in a single skill chip. It’s a free action to change a chip in a port but requires a
full round before the new information is
available. A chip adds or increases one
specific (non-arcane) Smarts-linked skill
up to four die types. The Strain refers to
the embedded port itself, chips cause no
Strain on their own. (Strain 1, 3,000 credits
for port, 2,000 credits for a one die type
chip, 5,000 credits for a two die type chip,
10,000 credits for a three die type chip,
and 25,000 credits for a four die type chip)

Chip: Cooking d8

Saddle of the Demon Horde
This just appears to be a normal riding saddle until activated (use Spirit roll). Then a hellish beast forms under the saddle useful for riding and fighting. The beast is a summoned and bound Hellforged Horse that will stay for a day or until destroyed. A new opposed Spirit rolls is required each day after the first to keep the horse bound to service. Otherwise it may disappear or even turn on its master. While activated the saddle also gives the rider a fearsome aura (+2 intimidation).
mods
Major: Summoning. The saddle summons a demonic version of the beast desired to be ridden.
Minor: +1 Intimidation
Minor: +1 Intimidation
Demoni Trait: 6
Hellforged Horse
Attributes: Agility d10, Smarts d6, Spirit d6, Strength d12, Vigor d12
Skills: Fighting d10, Intimidation d10, Notice d10
Pace: 8; Parry: 7; Toughness: 14 (4)
Special Abilities:
[*]Armor +4: Plates of Infernal Steel.
[*]Kick: Str+1d10
[*]Construct: +2 to recover from being Shaken; No extra damage from called shots; Immune to poison and disease; Ignores wound penalties.
[*]Fear: Creatures that see these unnatural forms must make a Fear check.
[*]Fearless: Golems are immune to the effects of Fear and Intimidation.
[*]Hardy: The creature does not suffer a wound from being Shaken twice.
[*]Hell-Forged: Fireproof, suffers half damage from fire attacks.
[*]Size +2: These constructs are over 10’ long and stand 6' at the shoulders.

The Fell Blade
Commander’s Sword
This sword is a fearsome and awe inspiring blade. However, the truly remarkable part of this weapon is built into the pommel. A miniaturized battlefield AI that wirelessly connects to the owner’s communications system, becoming a voice in their ear helping them to lead and inspire others. The sword grants +2 to Knowledge (Battle) rolls while relaying valuable information that helps keep order and morale in the ranks.

Base Item: Great Chain Sword

Minor: +1 Knowledge Battle
Minor: +1 Knowledge Battle
Major: Command
Major: Command Presence
Major: Inspire

Quirk: Having had many owners over the years the AI has a bit of a personality. Rolling a 1 on the Wild Die causes it to say something snarky to its owner. Make an opposed Smarts roll (d8) or suffer the effects of a Test of Wills.

Repair: The weapon is very advanced and suffers a -2 to repair rolls. Also if no comms are available then the unit cannot communicate and the advantages are lost.

E-Clip: The clip continually charges using a combination of kinetic motion, ambient radiation, and even body heat, but can burn out. On a 1 on the Fighting die, the power pack burns out and the weapon has no power until it is replaced, requiring an action. When unpowered the AI ceases to function and the blade stops spinning and is useless.

Timothy Hernandez (Combat Cyborg)

Post by Timothy Hernandez »

Advances

Framework
  • Bionic Augmentation: Combat Cyborgs begin with Strength d12+2, Agility d10, and Vigor d12. These traits do not have an attribute maximum.
  • Cybernetic Enhancements: All combat cyborgs begin with the following cybernetic systems: Audio Package, Bionic Strength* Augmentation, Core Electronics Package, Cyber-Wired Reflexes*, Optics Package, Synthetic Organ Replacement*(see page 78 for details). *These are already factored into the Cyborg’s starting Traits.
  • High-performance Legs: Full-conversion ‘borgs possess powerful legs and actuators; they begin with the Fleet-Footed Edge. This can be enhanced with additional cybernetics.
  • M.D.C. Armor: A Combat Cyborg alloy structure provides +8 M.D.C. Armor. This cannot be combined with body armor.
  • More Machine: ‘Borgs add +2 to recover from Shaken, ignore one level of wound modifiers, possess a self-contained breathing apparatus, and are immune to poison and disease.
  • Unarmed Combat: Metal frame construction allows the Combat Cyborg to deal Str+d6 (Mega Damage) in unarmed combat. Cyborgs are always considered armed.
Cyborg Complications
  • All Those Moving Parts: ‘Borgs cannot be healed or treated with medicine when they are hurt. Instead they must be repaired. Fixing a cyborg requires the Repair skill—which is used like the Healing skill, only with no Golden Hour.
  • Gray Matter: Combat Cyborgs only start with two points (instead of the normal five) for attributes and these may only be spent on Smarts and Spirit. Points from Hindrances and Advances may be used to raise any attribute.
  • Inhuman Appearance: Combat Cyborgs suffer −2 Charisma when dealing with most beings.
  • Loss of Dexterity: While a Combat Cyborg’s systems and parts are specifically designed for combat excellence, little attention is given to anything else one might want to use his hands for. The lack of real feeling or delicacy of construction in the hands (the exception being specific sensors installed to interact with weapon triggers), as well as the “run through the battlefield” focus of the legs and feet, means the ‘borg suffers −2 to all Agility rolls and linked skills not directly related to combat.
  • Malfunctions: Cyborgs are subject to the same potential problems all tech items and gear face (see the technical Difficulties Setting Rule on page 122). For example, a critical failure on a Strength check means penalties until the ‘borg’s strength systems are repaired.
  • Spiritually Numb: All that metal and so little meat means no Arcane Backgrounds are available to a combat Cyborg.
  • Total Conversion: The process of becoming a Combat Cyborg uses all of a character’s personal Strain. A Combat Cyborg starts with 0 Strain before applying the Upgradable Edge.
Hero’s Journey
Close Combat Weapons
  • 10
  • This weapon is extra deadly, granting a +1 to all damage rolls made with it. This result may be applied up to three times.
Cybernetics
  • 17
  • Let’s face it, everyone expects your hero to take point, so that extra level of Armor Plating is always a good idea.
Ranged Weapons
  • 12
  • The JA-11 Energy Rifle is a marvel of design and effectiveness. Most Juicers give any non-Juicer the side-eye if they’re carrying one.
Narrative Hook
  • 14
  • The Coalition. Either through prior service or residence, or by having friends or colleagues living in the right place, your hero has or had some dealings with one or more of the Coalition States at an important level. This can be very useful, but it can also lead to some difficult questions needing answers, as well as suspicions on the part of those who discover his ties. Now that he’s with the Tomorrow Legion, he’ll have to work out both relationships.
Advances
  • Initial Advances: Block
  • Initial Advances: Improved Block
  • Racial Edges (e.g. Free Edge for Human): First Strike
  • Cybernetic Modifications:Fleet Footed
  • Iconic Framework: Upgradable
  • Novice 1 Advance (5): Steady Hands

Team members, Quick Flex DB operator, Human Jucier, Human Mystic, second Combat Cyborg, myself

Castle appears to be built by dwarfs, upper levels are not designed for combat cyborgs or larger. Constricting passages will make for easy traps and the loss of entire groups. Management and C&C is housed in the upper levels. Recommended high powered missile, possibly C-4 explosives.

Management does not appear to be disciplined as well. This could be personal, this could be knowing the audience. Normal Army is 3 divisions of diverse capabilities. No specialization in rank and file. There are specialty groups. Rank Structure is similar to Coalition Army. This will make infiltration much easier.

The Jucier appears to have some level of military discipline. At least he made a gesture that looked like a salute. Combat Cyborg appears to at least give superiors respect of rank.

If I can become the Squad leader, especially of a special teams leader, this might get me into the data that is wanted.

First mission as a unit. We encountered a rogue Rhino Buffalo and a herd of three horned dinos. Unit attempted to stop the herd of dinos by neutralizing point animal. Primary target did not take the bait and did continued pursuit. SET member named "CRUNCH" (Combat Cyborg) fired upon the Rhino-Buffalo and neutralized target. The herd continued approaching the vehicle. After a brief discussion on our next actions, (I wanted to protect the herd for a steady supply of food and Ulysses (job unknown) wanted to kill the herd.) Unit leader FEll (Human Juicer) ordered the full destruction of the herd. I followed orders and opened fire unto the herd and walked the gunfire from animal to animal. Our unit magic user (Cory, Mystic?) used magic to capture and burn the herd. Mission accomplished, herd destroyed. The death of all of these animals for no good reason is something I will not understand. The dinos were threatening anyone at all. Driver of ATV is Qoat (quick flex d-b). Side note, we might be able to make more maneuverable self sufficient unit by using dinos like the herd we destroyed. I plan on training one, having a seat made that will holster my smaller weapons, and a gyroscope for the rail gun so I can use it while riding the dino. Support units to gather food are inbound, Timothy out.

Mission log 1 (continued): We have found a cave system where we think the bandits have returned. The location of the cave system is located in Illmarsh. This town if you that is what you want to call it, is able to get reinforcements quickly. Holding the town would be tough as well. Due to the cave network, resistance would be almost impossible to quench. lots of human life and skelebots lost. During our patrol, we encountered rock type animals. They are not however what they look like. Between heavy weapons and magic these animals were quickly killed. These creatures can be killed quickly. Skelebots could handle them.

After the battle, we found the leader of the unit we were sent to rescue. A Psyberknight by the name of Sayeen Gabersleaf. His name is appropriate. That short eared old bastard will not shut the hell up. He even wanted to give me his autograph? WHAT THE FUCK!! Did I mention he won't shut the fuck up? I even threatened to shoot him in the face. The fucker didn't back down, that is when I found out he was a psyberknight.

Unit leader Fell set the old man straight. Put him in the back of the line. Mission still in progress.

FILE ENCRYPTION = TRUE; ENCRYPTION VALUE = 128 bit DAC; FAILURE ACTION = INITIATE protocol DoD 5220.22M

Mission 1

Last report was when we located the old man. It appears the old man is a cyber knight. We ventured deeper into the cave system. After navigating the cave system we located the raiding group. This raiding bandit gang was made up of 1 troll, 1 juicer and 8 orcs. Due to the cave weapon usage was limited to short range weapons, at least that should have been the case. Our mystic used magic to fire bomb the orcs. I could have handled the orcs, however they didn't live long after the initial attack. The team Juicer "Fell", engaged the enemy juicer. The rest of the team either eliminated two remaining orcs and the Troll. There was one more creature in the cave that is still under suspension by myself. The bandits have captured newly hatched dragon. The Cyber Knight and the Mystic engaged in discussion with the dragon. This prevented the dragon from joining the fight on the bandit side, and it joined on our side. The dragon decided to attack the troll. Between the dragon and the Cyber Knight, the troll was quickly killed.

After the battle, we still had an unknown combatant in our group. Since we didn't know for sure which side of the combat the dragon was on, I trained my railgun on the dragon, ready for any action. The Cyber Knight however thought that we would be in the wrong. I almost wish I could have shot the dragon, I would have put a bullet in the old bastards head and end his miserable life. I ensure the dragon is not going to kill the team and i'm the fucking bad guy? The crazy ass Cyber Knight is going to be one i'm watching and waiting. The Mystic appears to be able to speak to the dragon, the Cyber Knight is probably in a delusional state as normal. After several tense moments between myself and the dragon, the dragon proceeded to investigate the bodies. I don't think it truly understands what me or anyone else is saying. It soon occurred to me that I might be able to gain a valuable, and useful ally. I will attempt to teach the dragon English. If I can get the dragon to understand me, I might be able to swing it to my cause.

One side effect of the fight. I have developed a ghost image in my optics. I have to get them repaired at this time. Fortunately, this should be financially covered by the Legion.

Once we left the cave, we encountered a four armed flying messenger, from HQ. We where instructed to return to HQ immediately. It appears that the orders were sent to us before we even finished our mission. This is not a good sign for the Legions Command structure. We came straight to HQ, Dragon, Cyber Knight, and flying messenger (The Cyber Knight and the messenger are both blowhards. and will continue to talk about themselves like they are the emperor's gift to mankind. I want to kill both of them for that alone.)

We reported directly to Chief Owl. She heard reports from Fell and the Cyber Knight. She also spoke to the dragon. What she said, I don't know, I don't speak dragon. The Chief proceeded to give us our next assignment. We are to report to the free city of Hammond. Apparently our contact there is in fear for his life. Enclosed is the data provided to us for Hammond. Enclosed document

My next reports will be from Hammond, until further notice.

We encountered the 152nd guard. It appears they were on a search and capture mission. Weird right? There is a blue elf d-be (pictured enclosed) I don't know why they are being captured. This is against all training and should be investigated. The recon team was neutralized with extreme prejudice. enclosed is a list of the squad, dog tags collected.

Crunch was particularly brutal, if it wasn't against troops, I would respect the man. The dragon (nicknamed Stomper, he doesn't seem to like it.) They Cyber knight (who really has a death wish) and Cory (idealistic privilege teenager) seems to defend against "unnecessary" Killing. This tactic will work well against all three targets. The Juicer Fell is starting to become more active in his leadership. He was able to to bring the team down from killing each other. Crunch and myself vs. Cyber knight, cory, and stomper. Quickflex and Gale are undecided.

I can attempt create a divide between Cory and the cyber knight. This could cause confusion with the dragon and possibly create a point of entry to gain the dragon on my side.

We have arrived in the city of Hammond. Our fist mission is to search and recover missing troops. In preparation we, a burster has been been assigned to the team. The burster, mind melter and cyber knight performed some mental voodoo. The Cyber knight appears to have regained his senses. This will be a bonus in combat, but it hurts my chances of using him as a wedge in the team. The Burster apparently personally knows the Cyber Knight, yet there has been many years between their last meeting. This will be investigated on if I can use this as an opportunity. The Juicer and the Mystic looks like they are interested in each other. I have seen this enough to know this will not go well for the team. I am trying to make this happen. I went on a shopping trip with the dragon. The dragon purchased a suit of Cyber knight armor. (Used of course)

First mission out in the field. We are on a rescue mission. A lesson patrol went missing in old Chicago. I'm not holding much hope for them, is a basterd of a place. I remember my time with the 3rd, we lost a few men on that patrol.

The target location is a old power plant. Pre-dark ages. There is something down there. (Audio recording attached). En-route was quiet. There is a let line by the plant. We took advantage and recharged. When we arrived, there was a fire fight between the 3rd and a feed magic unit. There where serious fire power on the field. Two UAR enforcers on our side and two of those demon things on the fedge side.

The cyber knight is suicidal. He walked right between both sides and got them to cease fire. The cyber knight and our leader Fell. (Official company name, Fell Folies) meet with both sides. The feddie did as I would expect, sorry and wanted blood, however we did secure entrepreneurs into the building unmolested. I for one felt better we had the extra fire power available if needed.

It also appears both teams have lost teams in this empower forsaken place, so we are now trying to rescue everyone.

The trip in could have gone better. I took point and stepped on a mini missle. That was embarrassing. The mind melter came buy and made it fall through the ground. I didn't know they can do that.

We moved forward. Came to a ladder. Damn children just sit there and talk. I started to climb down the ladder. It couldn't my weight and I fell through the floor into a room with junk. Several people wanted to look for something important, I wanted to move forward
We did find a map of the plant and a computer that is older then the cyber knight. As the map was being uploaded into my computer, it caused a glitch in my eyes. This is the third or fourth time I have had problems with my eyes. Our techi is starting to get curious. I'm going to have to get replacements soon. More to come as needed.

After I recovered from the ladder, we proceed down the ruins some more. We encountered a magic circle that was used to summon some demonic creatures. Several CS troops and Fed Mag troops where used as sacrifice. It didn't take long for us to find out what was summoned. A herd of Spiny Ravagers attacked us. The 1st SET was able to kill these creatures quite quickly and efficiently. We have always known how powerful Magic and Psionics are, this team uses it like it's going out of style. The team is starting to come together, different abilities are being used to augment other users. It's difficult to augment a cyborg.

The Dragon is in the experiment phase right now, much like a two year old. He's willing to try anything once. After the fight we found out what happened to the summoner. We recovered his spell book. The team was rather more willing to destroy it, rather then use it. I was happy to hear about that. We had a brief discussion on what to do with the spell book, It would appear my emotion was a little too much for my eyes to handle. How the hell will anger affect my vision? I am in the process of requisitioning replacement eyes.

On the way back, we encountered some broadkill employed by the FOM. The leader of this squad of troops spoke with us and requested the spell book we recovered. Of course the team did not trust her. We had some banter and back and forth with Mrs. Winters. She offered to portal us out of there, and we didn't take it thankfully. While the team moved on, Fell took care of her while the rest of us moved on.

As we moved forward out of the ruins, we ran into skelebots. Mel and Sinder took quick work of them as well. I was teleported to behind them to provide cover, when we where shot from behind. The squad was farther behind that we couldn't see. they also brought an enforcer into the ruins. That damb thing almost brought the building down around us. The grunts where taken care of quickly by Sinder. Mel, myself, the old man, and Q took on the enforcer. Apparently, they where not expecting the dragon. We got in close to neutralize many of its weapons, and attacked it full force. At some point, i'm not sure what happened, the cyber knight accelerated faster then I could register. Next thing I know he's standing in front of me handing a magic marker and just runs outside. After the dragon tears the enforcer to shreds, we head out to the entrance to the power plant. There we found the cyber-knight in a death grip with the commander of the 2nd Battalion Chicago Company. The team is not taking this loss well. Many of them are a cross between pissed off and crying like little children. I only wish I could have killed the old bastard. There where no survivors. Enclosed are the names of all members of Chicago Company lost in the line of duty. At this time our next destination is Harmond once again. I have a feeling Fell will try to go back to HQ. This could leave Harmond open for further infiltration by the CS.

As Timothy is getting prepped for the eye replacement, he mulls over recent events.

How does a Cyber Knight even take on an entire division? This makes no sense. The entire Chicago Company. Can any Cyber Knight do this on such a scale? What else can the rest of the team do? We have a dragon, how much damage can he do? Sinder, What can he do? At least with Sinder, we just need a fire truck. Fell, he's quick headed and more then likely to burn out sooner rather then later. Can I make it long enough to become the leader? Q is an adequate tech. He could easily become the next leader. I would rather him in charge, thus allowing me to move around uninterrupted. Gail, is a leeching mind melter. Just his very thoughts are even able to reach into my mind. Cory, What can she do? Her magic appears to be faith based. So, really who are the most dangerous members? Gail, Cory, Merl. Who would be the most effective against the team? Gail, isn't much to the team right now, Merl is the baby, he would be a good target if not a difficult one, Cory and Fell have something going on. Get rid of one, get rid of the other. Two for one.

"Mr. Hernandez, Please come this way to replace your eyes."

Timothy looks up to see a blurry woman standing in front of him, an elf probably, it's difficult to tell with the static.

The team has been at Castle Refuge for the last few weeks. I got my eyes replaced, a new jet pack and two data jacks installed. I have added Flying and cooking to my collection. It would be nice if I could get a high quality encryption or security chip to make sure these reports make it to you intact.

Many of the team has acquired jet packs as well. It appears the NG merchant was having a flash sale on them. I attempted to bring some additional internal conflict with the team by setting Sgt. Fell and Specialist Cory on a date. It appeared to have failed.

Our next job is taking us out to the baronies. It appears that there is a stark increase of undead that is only vulnerable to silver. The castle is looking to get a supply of silver to make silver ammunition. While we where waiting for our next mission to start we met up at the bar. While at the bar some asshole from the Nameless squad decided to place a big ugly sticker on the wall in the bar and claimed it as theirs. This pissed me the fuck off. The arrogance and the audacity of this team to just lay claim to a wall of a bar. Just who the fuck do they think they are? Accolades are earned, not taken. I spoke my mind on this. I verbally laid into the asshole for this. AND IT WAS A CYBER KNIGHT OF ALL PEOPLE!!! Are you fucking kidding me? I taught the prick about professionalism. Something the whole team was lacking. Even the team leader of these nut less wonder thought this was a good idea. In the end, the Cyber knight did change his mind to have the wall represent the whole SET division, however the team leader felt that backhanded remarks where still needed. After sending Sayeens daughter, another crazy ass family member, to screw with the nut less wonders, I believe It's indiana Jones. My Sargent got bent out of shape and gave me a dressing down of epic proportions. Hell for shit, that I have no idea how the hell he even thought of. As the soldier that I am, he ordered me to apologize so I did. Once we get to a point where I can address this, I will. I know dam well any leader worth his salt would not appreciate having his authority challenged in public.

Location: Kansas, Fort Comanche

As the team approached the backwards town of these tech rejects and natives who believe superiority over the CS. Reception is not what the trade team expected. It appears there have been some murders around a new NG building. The team split up to gather information in the best methods we have available. It appears that The burster Sinder has history in this area, Gale and myself went to the local authorities, Fell and Lail investigated the construction site, the mystic and dragon went to investigate among the people.

The results of our initial investigation has been lackluster. Sinder made good enroads with the local leaders due to his connections, the local police are inept and out of their league, Fell and his team didn't provide any good information (it ended up destroying any evidence there was) and Merl and Cory may have instigated the local population.

It appears that Fell is having a hard time controlling Lail. He has been offloading more responsibility onto me and trying to keep up with Lail. Fell has also expressed to me, he's probably going to burn out sooner rather then later. For the immediate mission, nothing will change, we'll travel and secure trade deals.

With the command starting to change to me, I have started to step up and lead this investigation. I split the team up with battle buddies. Two people per group, no one left alone. I made sure to pair Fell up with Lail. Lail is too much of a risk and with any luck, the two loose cannons will take care of themselves and leave the team still operational. With the first night approaching, I sent the team to get rest. I had Cory try to use her magic to get some answers, I ran some scans to see if my programs could provide some incite. It looked like several battles I have been apart of. The first night was not a good night for some of us. Lail was affected. Lail affected by nightmares is a bad thing. The team was split to visit a local mystical expert of some kind and doing more investigations.

The site team tried the commune with spirits thing, and fly around to find any evidence of bodies being moved. This line of investigation was an absolute failure. No tracks showing where the bodies came from, the spirits gave Cory some vague BS.

From the other meeting was a discussion about dreams. I don't pretend to understand what these people are talking about. In the end, it doesn't appear to have provided any good information. This investigation is frustrating. Lack of physical evidence shows Magical causes. Those can be a real pain and potentially high loss of life. The dam crows are more then just annoying, I think they are connected to this but I don't know how, and neither does anyone else. Lail returned to the crime scene and picked up on my distaste for these crows. She proposed calling in air strikes. While i'm not against nuking this place, It's not the mission. With no clear information, Fell calls for a 24 hour stake out.

Stake out sucks. Nothing happens until something happens. 2AM, the locals are done drinking when some of them head towards the construction site. The crows make a horrible scream (audio files attached). At that time, 3 Zombies attack the workers. One worker dies from an impact from a tomahawk. We could not have stopped it. I will be reviewing this fight to make sure we acted as best we could. Seeing the Zombies brought back memories of a chicago operation, Lail unhinges, someone threw a grenade, Merl flies in to cover the survivors, Sinder uses his burster abilities, and Cory tries to cast magic. The Zombies are quickly dispatched, it almost ended in absolute disaster for the team, but we got it done. We still don't have the source, the locals and the magic users believe it's from being a holy ground. If that's the case, where the hell can they build? But building will continue, but will just be relocated. NG is not going to be happy about that, They don't have a choice. If they want a mega Mall at the Kansas location, they will have to adjust. It is also important for command to know that NG is pushing westward and selling to enemies of the state.

After the fight, the team starts to locate the source of the zombie. Merl started to dig in the dirt, the team formed up to provide support. The explosions and use of heavy weapons attracted the town to the fight. Lail still being unhinged from the fight started to focus on the crows. This person is a danger to the team. Fell is failing in keeping Lail in line. I heard a very meek request from Fell, this is not the Fell we have teamed up with. It appears Fell is really affected by the burn. I give Lail an order to stop, she does. Lails shoots a crow and grazes my head, she quickly grabs a bystander and holds her hostage with the Fury blade she was issued. With Lail making the problem worse, I pulled out my rail gun (would have rather used the juicer rifle, didn't have time). Lail eventually listens and releases the hostage with a small cut. I secured Lail and had Q secure her in the Q mobile. I checked out the woman and directed her to the medic to ensure it didn't become infected.

The down deputy that I met the previous day, came to me requesting Lail be handed over. Having Lail in a cell is best for everyone. I called Fell over to brief him on my decision. Fell didn't object, as a matter of fact, he wanted to escort Lail. With Fell being our commander and needing to speak with the town elders I volunteered to escort her to the cell with the deputy. On the way to the cell, Lail asks for help. To be trained like a soldier. I don't have much hope it would work, until her mental instability is cured. Once in the cell, Lail opens up. I try to teach her about discipline, something she needs badly. Lail starts to address me as a father or something like this. She asked for him to braid her hair, but he does not know how to do it.

At this time Lail is in jail, I am keeping watch on her, Cory visited for a few minutes, and everyone else is getting ready for a meeting with the town elders in the morning.

This report is difficult for me to write. First off, Sinder is not nearly as dangerous as reports have said.
"Well this happened before I came to Fort Comanche. I was a Young buck, needing to prove who I was. I finally got a chance to break away from Mom and Dad’s reach and so I went from Lazlo to New Lazlo. Thinking it would be pretty easy, just a short trip hang out in New Lazlo have some fun and then see what pops up next."

"I get to New Lazlo and I teamed up with a few younger hot heads we decide to head south. Well the day didn’t go right from the beginning. The rain came vehicles get stuck in the mud. The cool kids show their true colors and start complaining about what to do. They wanted to leave those stuck behind and press on. I couldn’t see that so I stayed with the stuck in the mud group. A few hours later parts of the group that left come screaming back. They brought with them a CS patrol. Well the fight was on, now that we are together the tide turned against the CS. I'm thinking finally something good. Right?"

"But the ones that came back said there were more of the CS coming and that they were going to leave us to our fate. Well it wasn’t good, some of the people decided to try to run on foot. I decided to get under one of the wrecked vehicles that was on fire and cover or bury myself in mud. I figured with the fire and mud hiding me no one would find me."

"I waited and it seems the CS Army, well it wasn’t an Army but it was a large force comes rolling in they checked out their dead and ours and leave about two guys behind to secure the battle scene as the rest roll on after the group that fled."

"After 20 minutes or so these two private, no class, were goofing off near the fire. Yep they got out of the lower armor and one started to squat to take a you know what, and the other started to wizz. The Peeer got real close to my face. That is when I jump out of the mud screaming."

"Now time seems to stand still at these times. I think the Peeer just fainted or had a heart attack and turned around crashed into the guy squatting, pissing all over the place ad falling on the Squatter, he smashed the Squatter's head into the mud and I think he is dead because he releases his bowels all over the Peeer. Piss and well you know all over the place. And they collapsed in a pile, bottom armor naked on top of each other. Well I'm scared too! So, I just run likes hell away from this. Eventually I remember I could fly and I use that ability to put some space between me and the CS."

"I thought I was free no one would ever find out. But a few weeks later I see a poster with my name and the fact that I assaulted two CS soldier and I was wanted for some other unmentioned acts on these CS’ers. So I decide I should put a lot of space between me and the northeast."

"I haven’t told anyone about this, so please don’t go around spreading the word. a lot of people think I'm a real Bad boy. If they really knew there goes my Bad Boy image."
Back to the subject at hand. After the night in jail, the team found the source of the dam zombies. Zombies neutralized. Stupid necromantic magic. The town was happy. They decided to stop the building deal and the tomorrow legion became their supplier of weapons and armor. Another deal that we had to make was for Lail to never return to town. Makes sense. The team left, we talked and there is where I got that little bit of info.

One night, i'm speaking with Fell. He finally decides to tell me two more people are joining the team. How the hell is a team run like this? Fell was also telling me that he was felling the burn take him. I was expressing to him not to leave too soon when Lail approaches us. Lail was saying goodbye to everyone in her own way. She was heading towards the town we just left. I couldn't allow her to return and jeopardize everything. It ended up a show down. I was not going to let her screw up everything we just did. She knew as well that I was not going to just let her go. Lail tried to end this quickly but I was ready. I simply side stepped and my vibro chain met her in the gut.

Fell is starting to slow down, he was not able to stop anything. It was the Sgt. idea to hide the body. I disagreed, the team would understand but I was overridden. I flew north with the body and put her in the ground. Once done, I returned to camp. The team woke up and started to pack up. Merl the dragon was obviously upset and wanted to look for her. I told him to stand down. The dragon is a ticking time bomb. There is no telling when he will hit his teenage years, those years are going to be difficult if not near impossible.

Back on subject. The team moved on. Merl is being his normal brooding self, Cory isn't helping in that regard. Sinder and Q are along for the ride and Fell is planning his funeral and what we are supposed to say. We wake up one day and some medical supplies are missing. I took the lead, introduced the newest member Saul, a sea inquisiter what ever that is and gave everyone directions to investigate the missing supplies.

Leadership. What is it? What do you do when it's thrust upon you? How do you lead when you are at odds with the team? In the Army, we were all human, we all signed up to protect humans for various reasons. I am now leading this group, Fell has all but given up. He's on the verge of burning out at this point. The first mission I am taking the lead in is a search and recovery mission. We have had some supplies stollen. With some local support, we have two possible locations to investigate. I sent Merl and Cory on recon towards the North. I am investigating the South. Everyone else is investigating the local teams. We found a band of simvans to the north. I'm sure they will be an issue later. To the south, I found a compound. No movement as of yet, but the team in town did also find some info supporting the southern location. I have already ordered Merl and Cory to flank the compound and make sure no re-enforcements surprise us.

That is the current state of the mission. The current state of the team is barely holding on. We have a new member named Saul, Cory and Merl no telling what they will do. A moody teenager with a childish dragon, is a very dangerous combination for anyone. I'm afraid that I may have to use lethal force in dealing with them. I'm also concerned that they will mutiny. The rest of the team, in not as concerned about. Q is more level headed. Fell is resigned to his fate, Sinder is a burster but he knows how to maintain control.

Stand by. I'm receiving a message over the radio. It's Fell. It would appear that the Juicer is willing to go through detox now. It looks like there might be some life left in the bastard. I don't know if he will be able to make it back to base for detox. I'm not sure right now if he is trying to retake control now in the middle of the mission or not. I'll have to talk to him about this while everyone is setting up.

Much to the benefit of the CS, I am now in charge of the 1st SET. We are still on the convoy protection detail. We located the medical supplies. A team of the 1st cavalry has been raiding the area recently. With the help of a Samson power armor pilot that unfortunately is a gnome, the team took the fight to the cut throats. After a brief fire fight a greater force came upon us. An army of Simvan raiders. A brief truce was called. Fell, that dam suicidal juicer, jumped into the fray. Challenged the SImvan and won. He then decided to take out half the army on his own. As you can imagine, he didn't make it. The dam Juicer finally committed suicide. That fucker! I jumped in there and mowed down half of the remaining Simvan with the rail gun. The rest of the team melted, blowed up, and overall killed the other half. So now i'm standing over Fell's dead body. I HATE JUICERS!!!! THEY ARE SO SELF CENTERED EGOTISTICAL SUICIDAL SONS OF BITCHES!!!! All they care about is dying in a blaze of glory. Leaving their mark on the world. A whole lot of good that is doing him now. Fucking Prick.

Now i'm sitting here at the camp fire, Fell encased in a hard shell that Sinder created with fire, to transport him to the castle. His chain sword in my hands, making funny noises and appears to be integrating with my systems. The team just got done voting for the new leader, and of coarse the new guy Saul wants to be a fucking dick head and express an opinion that I don't give two shits about. The fucker has only been on the team for one day and he thinks he should have a say in how this team is run? Fucking prick. Now I have to pick my XO. my first pick would be Q. He's good at mechanics, he's respected and he is probably a better leader then I will be.

However I don't think i'll make him my XO. I'm leading to Cory as my XO. She's been teaching Merl everything. Both Merl and Cory needs to have their own image. She may be a moody teenager with great power that she needs to harness, but i'm sure by learning from me with the CS training she will lead her own SET some day soon. Lets be honest here, as a fucking cyborg, i'm virtually immortal.

Now to fill the gaping hole in our team, we are short one member. I have extended the gnome to join the team, we could deffinently use a PA pilot.

Timothy Hernandez reporting. Sparky has joined the team for now, which is good we could use a PA pilot. We immediately came under siege by Simvan raiders. We followed the raiders to their base of ops. Enclosed is the battle plan and the actual battle.

By the Emperor, I miss actual coordinated attacks, superior fire power and people actually willing to follow orders. As you can see nothing went to plan. Regretfully the shaman was able to summon A big ass monster that was impervious to all normal weapons at our disposal. Frustrating is not what I would describe the fight. If more of these gate through, i'm afraid the casualties will be much more then we can even handle. I don't know how plasma weapons will respond or if nukes will even work on these things. The only way we got out of this fight was through magic. Once the creature was down, one of the local magic users shifted the portal to allow two more teams through. The good news was these are the Black Company and the 3rd of the Tomorrow Legion.

At one point the Legion had a bounty on the BC, it appears to have been rescinded. I have not received confirmation of this and it doesn't matter, those crazy bastards went right back into Hell. I'm uploading the video files of each members and knows position. The BC had some pillars that appeared to be very magical. I was not able to get any more information. Enclosed is the video file of said pillars.

Yes, I reported right, they said they where from Hell. I wasn't able to narrow down which world they are traveling to and from. Our temporary member, Drake opened up a portal. This appeared to set Cory off. She was pissed off all to hell at Drake for no apparent reason. I hope her period is not causing this.

Once the teams left just as quickly as they came the 1st returned to the Convoy. We moved out back on track to complete the mission. The teams mood was not particularly festive.

In transit over the nest week it was constant hit and run tactics of Simvans and demons. These constant attacks is frustrating. They were probing for weaknesses, just like any intelligent opponent would do. During one of the probing attacks, SET team member named Saul went on his own to rescue a child that was a stowaway. Once Saul left solo on his mission with no backup, I immediately ordered everyone that no team member is to operate on their own. That order proved more difficult to enforce. These people have no sense of military bearing what so ever. it's like the Dirty Dozen. During the time that Saul was out on his solo mission, the enemy mounted a large scale assault on the Convoy. The scale was large enough to force the Convoy to accelerate its movement. I stayed behind with my railgun. I was fortunate to encounter troops and leadership that was able to be killed by more normal weapons. With my capabilities and my tech, I was able to cut the invading horde down. The leadership was taken down, rank and file troops where thrown into chaos. Battle file uploaded.

After the battle, I located an item that is probably magical. It is currently under investigation and I will report more when I know more. I may have to use it to keep up appearances, It looks like i'm getting to the limits of what the cybernetic enhancements provided by the CS are capable. I have already acquired automated repair kit to be added to the body, this should help with eye failure that plagues me.

Once we repelled the invaders, the convoy resumed it's traveling pace. The rest of the 1st SET performed heroically, at least even for CS standards, in defense of the convoy. Several days later Saul returned to the team with the stowaway child. Saul was a little worse for wear, and won't talk much about what happened.

We finally made it to Silverado and we have been met as the heros we are fighting these demons. A parade was held for us, with the salvage we gathered the team is getting a little bonus. Last I heard there was a team out here in the West, the 18th I think. No word on if they are in town or not. Which brings us to our current state. It appears that i'm just a figure head as a team leader. At least as Walcott is concerned. This is going to be corrected as soon as i'm done recording. Team member Q is returning to HQ with the reports of the Demon invasion. I'm sending this recording back with him. If the simvan joined up with Demons, who knows if the Fed Magic has made the same deal? If they have, we will need allies. The Tomorrow Legion could be usable and expendable allies needed for the impending fight..

Mission report for the 1st SET. I'm sure that Mrs. Walcott is including her report on our status, this is my official report.

The trip has been rough and quite dangerous. I'm including our changes in team members for your records, I'm also including our battle reports. It is important that all teams are as diverse as possible to maintain success. We have encountered demon hordes. Not just random attacks, but coordinated military invasions. Our standard Mega Damage Weapons are ineffective against the bigger creatures. Magic users where the most effective against the otherwise impervious target.

We encountered the 13th and the Black Company. We were instructed that the bounty on the BC was rescinded, I would like confirmation on that. Unfortunately, both teams decided to head back into hell.

The trip to Silverado was not much better. We encountered a more militaristic organized horde. We were able to force them back with minimal injuries to the team. It appears that the majority of the troops in the horde are able to be hurt by non magical weapons.

As of this moment, all personnel are alive and well, we have acquired new items from the demon hordes, so they may need to be purged. I'm confident that we will find a new recruit out here to replace Qoat. I have also reinforced with Walcott the chain of command for the 1st. We are awaiting the next leg of the mission, until then the 1st is taking some much needed R&R.

Timothy out.
