Background

Background (Young)
Growing up our family owned a boutique cybernetics shop in Lone Star. My dad ran the business end and my mom was a gifted cyber-doc. We were extremely well off by the standards of the day. My brother and I are twins, well I guess I’m the big brother by 15 minutes, and extremely close knit. However, it was clear from a young age that my brother, Max, was going to be some kind of cybernetics genius. My mom taught him anatomy and cybernetic implantation on weekends when we were 8 years old. We used to find him tinkering with half dead rats and old robotics parts in the spare parts shed. The little shit actually got one to live! My dad wanted the shop to stay in the family so he tried to teach me the business side. I wasn’t quite the genius that Max was. When we turned thirteen our parents decided that we needed to be sent off for a good education. Max began an education in the finer points of medicine and advanced cybernetics. I, well, I discovered that I wasn’t the best student. What I did learn was that I was particularly good at getting physical when the other kids picked on Max.

Background (Modern)
Max took the family business over and I decided to explore further my skills in hurting people. I hold a stake in the chop shop, which is where I principally obtain my enhancements from. Over the last several years I’ve hopped from contract to contract getting better and better at my job. I was employed for a few years as the personal bodyguard for some pretty high ranking CS officials. In my off time I took ‘contracting’ jobs from a local black market contact. One day, fairly recently, I was paid a substantial amount of money to handle one of the officials I was also paid to protect. It was an easy choice and the money was too good to pass up. Increasingly I’d become sick to my stomach of working for the CS. Their twisted ideologies do nothing good for this land. So, I handled him easily enough. I stole some encrypted data files from his personal comp, received my payment, and slipped out of town.
I floated around the province for a while until I began to see signs of a new power in the region. I heard rumors of the Tomorrow Legion and was determined to learn more. My brother, Max, relocated his business to Kingsdale in an effort to get closer to the Tomorrow Legion. He still takes private clients but works to patch up injured Legionaries when he can. I began working small fetch and carry jobs until a position on a team opens up.
