The Greater Flame Blade of Roxcryth:
The Splurgoth Pyramid on Galamon Four blocked what was left of the setting blue day star. With teh setting of the sun, night was imminent and with it the Sunaj would try to invade again. Those defending the pyramid siphoned its energy and prepared, perplexed why the Sunaj only attacked at night. It was unlike their usual methods. Looking around at the assembled men and women employed or owned by Roxcryth, Lieutenant Commander Roath wondered at the brutal night attacks, the Sunaj were usually more secretive. It wasn't that they did not do large scale war, it was just rare to hear of it. This was worse, he was seeing it firsthand. Roath had been employed by the alien intelligence named Roxcryth for nearly 10 years now. Returning his glance out the front barricade, Roath watched the last of the rain fall, as the sun settled. Darkness. A slight nod at his second, a Rulian Translator, who was by far no stranger to combat, had the alien up and moving about the troops. Rousing them in preparation for the next assault. Roath would not allow the vile Sunaj to take his Lords pyramid, he would hold. Too much was at stake to lose.
Seeing a few fellow Galamen from Galamon Thirteen shuffle up next to him, Roath smiled at the men. Seeing that they were nervously clutching their energy rifles and energy blades he keyed his throat mic and radioed to the defenders.
"Remember gentlemen, we are here today because of Roxy, without her we would have lost our families long ago from the harsh mistress our world is. Most of you not only owe our Lord, but your families who have transferred to this lush world, they do to. Those families are hidden below us now. We fight for home, Lord and family. Look forward to our future. We will prevail."
Cheers went up, even the brilliant and dour Rulian, Daxil, pumped his NE Rifle into the air. Gazing through the opening of the main entrance to the pyramid a distasteful memory fluttered into Roath's mind like poison. Seeing the sweat soft brown skin of his newlywed wife under his fingers as they rested after a long hard day in the water plant on G13. A new home, a child soon to be on the way. A promise of a bright future lost only a month after their wedding. Seeing his deceased bride and unborn in the main square after the Sunaj attack on the local mine. Shaking his head Roath grit his teeth and un-clipped a Flaming Sword from his utility belt. Speaking the words to a spell, and pulling power from the nexus located within the pyramid, Roath brought a shimmering armor about his person. Seeing movement outside, he tapped the sensitivity dial on his helmet. There, a squad of black clad, demonic helmet, bastard Sunaj demon were approaching under the cover of several destroyed vehicles outside.
Holding a tight grip on the hilt of the Flaming Blade Roath lifted the un-activated sword up, pointed towards the approaching enemies and activated the flaming blade. Fire ripped out of the hilt and shot out in a mass of billowing flames. As the Sunaj rushed forward into the main lobby of teh pyramid, Roath stood and pointed at them.
"Crush them."
A quickness came over the magically armored Line Walker, Roath felt his body charged by the spell located within the sword. As two of the Sunaj broke off and ran straight at him, recognizing him, Roath grinned. Stone is earth, earth is dirt, I am of the dirt. One second Roath was facing the two demonic warriors rushing at him with dark Fury Blades. The next breath he was behind them. having instantly burrowed beneath them they were caught off guard as the Line Walker stabbed out at the first in his back, as the Sunaj fell forwards and his comrade started to turn about, Roath felt the magic course through his veins. Lancing out with a sweeping attack the flaming sword cut a path across the enemies shoulder and through his neck. The demonic helmet clattered to the ground.
The first Sunaj recovered quickly, moving his feet into a warrior’s stance and bit threw the air at Roath with the Fury Blade. The frenzy of the attack was near impossible to parry. Roath decided to let the sword hit him, he would choose where though. Jumping upwards the Fury Blade slammed into Roath armored hip as the flaming blade torn down across the demonic face plate. Striking with a boosted strength and all the might of a fueled by hate warrior, Roath cut a fiery swath into the helmet, then kicked the demon back. Catching on fire the Sunaj dropped to his back, dead and aflame.
Several shots rang out as a few of the defenders used high powered shell loaded mini cannons. The Sunaj coming up on Roath's backside dropped dead. Glancing back at the dead creature Roath nodded a thanks to the Rulian who had shot the Sunaj.
Seeing more, dozens more, of the Sunaj run, fly and drift into the pyramid Roath lifted his flaming blade high for all to see.
"Remember our oath, arroath! Charge!"
The defenders of the Rox pyramid in Mist City on G4 cried out battle cries and charged forwards into the fray. Roath at their lead. As his gifted greater flaming sword, gifted from Lord Roxcryth, cut into the demonic horde of Sunaj Roath felt both alive and oddly stoic. The Sunaj would not take his Lords pyramid and his wife would have revenge this day. Screaming a war cry himself, Roath unleashed an onslaught of magical dark energy bolts and cut into the Sunaj with his magic and the flaming blade.

Thirty years later the Greater Flaming Blade is still in Roath's possession as he joins the Legion.
