Background
During the Tolkeen war, Alexander was part of the faction of Cyber Knights who saw the horrors that Tolkeen was courting in their bid to win, and decided that the only way to prevent a worse tragedy than the war itself was to help the Coalition. Swallowing his pride and screaming conscience, he joined a mixed group of adventurers providing quiet support to local CS force.

During a mission in 106PA, the group was faced with eliminating a Tolkeen response to an incursion by a CS ops team. The problem, as Alexander found out after the battle, was that the ops team was sent in to purge a local settlement - permanently. When Alexander learned that there were mostly children with a few caretakers left in the settlement, he argued strenuously with his fellow operatives to intervene. They disagreed, and a fight ensued. Alexander survived and made his way to the settlement, only to find that the fratricidal combat he’d just left had given the CS operatives all the time they needed to do what they’d come to do.

To his surprise, however, the purge team had apparently missed one in the rubble of what was once a home. A young girl, no older than ten, was unconscious but breathing beneath a wooden beam. Extracting the girl, Alexander vowed to take her somewhere safe, and to find a better way. He felt sick for what had happened, for what he felt he had let happen.

Several years later, he and his “daughter” Selaene heard of the formation of the Tomorrow Legion. Packing their bags, they began the long journey to Castle Refuge.

The Alexanders maintained a small farm on the outskirts of Ft. Prospect. For the most part, work was hard but fruitful, and they were more or less left alone. In 70 PA, they gave birth to a daughter, Mihailia. In 75 PA they gave birth to Leo. Finally, in 77 PA, they gave birth to another son, Ealdwine.

Leo’s older sister, Mihaila, ran away when she was 16 after a heated argument with their parents. Leo was only 11. She made her way to Chi-Town and spent two years processing for citizenship and enlistment. In 88 PA she graduated from CS BCT with honors at the rank of Private First Class. In 90 PA, she married on Colin Shepard. In 104 PA, she was sent as a 1st Sergeant to OCS, emerging as a 2nd Lieutenant in preparation for the war. As the war wound down, she found herself at the rank of Captain.

Leo’s parents died not long after Mihaila -whether of heartbreak or simple physical exhaustion is unknown. Leo was left to care for his younger brother, Ealdwine, in the winter of 87 PA. While Leo was 12, Ealdwine was only 10. Leo kept in intermittent contact with his sister, as while he did not agree with nor understand her decision, he did not hate her for it.

In 94 PA, Leo heeded a call for able bodied men in the Kingdom of Worth, leaving a now 17 year old Ealdwine to manage the homestead. While in Worth, Leo took up with a group of Cyber Knights and ended up following their path.

Ealdwine never forgave Mihaila for going to the CS and blames them for everything negative that has happened to him over his life. As an impressionable teenager, this turned into a fixation on what he saw as the opposite of the CS - Tolkeen. There he received training as a Ley Line Walker. After the fall of Tolkeen, his hatred burned brighter than ever, resulting in him turning to the Federation of Magic.
