Background:
Johnny was a schoolboy when he heard his first Beatles song around 1972. That started his love for music, but his witch and warlock cousins of ne'er do-wells didn't share his affection for song. Being the right blood-lusting crazies they were, Johnny left them as soon as he could (sadly not soon enough for what they did to his ma and pa)--following in the footsteps of Woody Guthrie and Bobby Dylan. He rode the rails to New Orleans where he ended up under the guiding hand of blues-singer "Gummy" Gus McGee. Gummy Gus not only helped him tap into his creative spark, but taught him was of magic that go beyond anything he saw his family do--a way of magic that technically traced its origins to Doc Holiday.

"You need to be ready for 'cause there will come a Reckonin' time, Schoolboy. Your family's tied to the hip to that mess," Gummy Gus would tell him.

Johnny never really believed him but did what Gus demanded of him as long as it helped him get stronger on the guitar. He regrets not learning more than he did, because now he ended up through the Rifts and found himself in a familiar land where so many changes happened.

Lucky for him, he landed on his feet and came under the tutelage of a warrior that called himself "Bogatyr"--a Glitter Boy. After serving squire for Bogatyr, the aging warrior helped Schoolboy obtain his own Glitter Boy armor.

Now the two have parted ways and Schoolboy is out to make his own way in this new world and help those that need it just like the folks that gave him help when he needed it.

ADVANCES:
Edge: Arcane Background: Magic
Edge: Power Armor Jock (from Iconic Framework and Tomorrow Legion’s Player’s Guide pgs 23 and 74)
Edge: Charismatic (Savage Worlds Deluxe Explorer’s Edition pg 44)
Edge: Martial Artist (from Table roll)
Edge: Brawler (from Table roll)
Edge: Healer (from Table roll)
Edge: Strong-Willed (from Table roll)
Edge: I know a guy (from Starting Experience)

Iconic Framework
Fully Trained: All Glitter Boy pilots begin with the Power Armor Jock Edge. „„
Glitter Boy Armor: Power Armor of the highest caliber
„Big and Shiny: Glitter Boys are highly distinctive, immediately recognizable, and often a priority target for heavy damage weaponry. They suffer −8 to any Stealth rolls thanks to their glittering armored coating. At 10 feet tall and Size +3, Glitter Boys are big targets and mansized opponents gain +2 to hit them (see page 85).
„„Closed Off: Sealed away from the natural and spiritual worlds, Glitter Boy pilots cannot use magic or psionics while in the suit. Such powers used by others can still affect them.
„„Digging In: Activating the stabilization systems (laser-tipped drilling pylons and jet engine compensators) requires an action. If the Boom Gun is fired without these measures, the Glitter Boy is knocked back 2d6”, falls prone, and the pilot is automatically Shaken. Once dug in, the Glitter Boy’s firing arc is restricted to his front and sides (180 degrees). The downside to Digging In is it makes the Glitter Boy an easier target, attackers gain a +2 to attack rolls against the suit when it’s dug in.
„„Enemies: The Coalition States consider all Glitter Boys enemies of the state. Few within the True Federation of Magic consider them friends either.
„„Highly Technical Machinery: Like all devices, armor, vehicles, andweapons, Glitter Boy systems are subject to the Technical Difficulties Setting Rule.
„„Sonic Boom: When the Boom Gun fires, a sonic boom goes off that affects everyone within a Large Burst Template centered on the suit. Anyone not in an environmentally sealed suit or environment must make a Vigor check at −2; failure means they are Shaken, and a natural result of 1 leaves them Incapacitated, requiring a Vigor check each round to become conscious but Shaken. Anyone in the area without ear protection is deafened for 3d6 minutes, suffering a −2 to Notice checks based on hearing.
„„Stand By to Fire: The operation of the Boom Gun is very involved. The Glitter Boy cannot move and fire it on the same round. This is why some carry other firearms as alternatives for when they need to move and shoot.
