Cybernetic Digital Jack (1): The character has a cybernetic interface designed for interacting with both remote and local interfaces. To work the character must physically plug in a connecting wire or if the target terminal has wireless capability be within 30' of the interface port. Interface ports usually are designed with security system requiring granted access or a Knowledge (Computers) roll at -4 to hack into. This jack provides a +2 to Knowledge (Computer) rolls to interact with and control the receiving device.
Note: Bonuses do not stack with other like bonuses, use only the higher value. (Strain 1; 30,000 credits)
So I am looking for feedback on this, or even word smithing. I am thinking of something like what you see in science fiction shows. This is a pretty common trope and one of my players wants something that would require this to be installed.

Re: Custom Cybernetics: Cyber-Jack
Here is the one from sci-fi comanion
Cyberjack (1): Real hackers don't use keyboards—they tap directly into the system via a datajack in their head and “run the matrix.” This adds +4 to all Knowledge rolls dealing with electronics. If the character fails such a roll anyway, the intense feedback causes a level of Fatigue that fades in one hour and can cause Incapacitation but not death. If the system was particularly powerful or well-protected, failure (including during a failed Dramatic Task) causes 3d6 damage (or more for very high-end corporate or military computers). Armor offers no protection from this damage

Hum, I don't know why it did not occur to me to actually look in Science Fiction Companion.
Thanks I will offer him this upgrade and see if he wants it.

I'll also note this from the TLPG (underlined the important bit):
Core Electronics Package (1): This set
of electronic and data systems grants the
following—a mini-computer; a computer
interface jack for direct linking to other
systems, which grants a +4 to appropriate
Repair checks and Common Knowledge
rolls; a radio with a 20-mile range. (Strain 1;
22,000 credits)
Now, it doesn't grant the bonus for hacking--for that, you'd also want a Subject Matter Expert Port, with a K: Computers Chip. So 2 strain, but a much wider array of other functions beyond just hacking.

Oh, did not notice that.
I even searched for Jack looking for it.
In that case he already has it

Core Electronics Package (1): Is just great! The combat Cyborg has a whole lot of non-combat utility that isnt immediately evident.
