New here!
I'm new to this site and Savage Worlds. I just received my Deluxe Explorer's Edition book just yesterday.
I am looking for a play-by-post game that will accept a noobie like me. I have experience with play-by-post games from rpgcrossing.
I was sent over to this site via the Savage Worlds' Facebook Group.

Re: New here!
Welcome to the site. Have a look around, we have plenty of games to choose from, not only Savage Rifts, but Deadlands and Shaintar. See what takes your fancy and go from there.
And Enjoy!
And Enjoy!

Re: New here!
Thanks!
Are there any games here that either only uses the core Deluxe Book or at least has information online/here about creating a character that fits the setting?
I currently only have the Deluxe book and would need a game that I could mainly just use that book.

There aren't any 'plain vanilla' settings here--Savage Worlds core is generally regarded as a bit 'flat' without some sort of setting or support material.
Of the games on the site, I think Shaintar is probably the one easiest to get into if you are trying to not have to buy the books--Rob's good about getting people extra material.

I'm willing to share my pdfs from Google Docs for you to use while you get the PHB for whichever game you wish to join. I know the Deadlands recently had a Bundle of Holding (I think just ended?) PDFs of the settings are usually fairly reasonably priced.

I think I would be interested in checking out Deadlands or Shaintar.

I know the Shaintar GM, while he is arrogant and selfish, he makes up for it with dashing good looks and I am certain he would accept a new player.Beckelhimer wrote:I think I would be interested in checking out Deadlands or Shaintar.
What kinds of ideas do you have for a character.
PS: Perfect timing because we just wrapped up an adventure.

Honestly, I am not sure. This would be my first Savage Worlds game. But I've been reading through the Deluxe book like crazy since I got it and making mock characters to test out the rules. So I might need a little push in character concept.RFT wrote:What kinds of ideas do you have for a character.

Re: New here!
Dragons are the coolest thing in Rifts.
But if leaning towards Shaintar (Forgotten Realms like esk High Fantasy) then no dragons.
