Narrative Hook [dice]0[/dice] Should Old Acquaintances… Sometimes, it’s a chance encounter or a brief time together that leaves a lasting impression. Someone along the way left your hero with something. Maybe something happened with someone she’s not seen since, but that moment stays with her in some way. One way or another, the encounter led to your hero joining the Legion.
Background
"I wasn't born a Cyber-Knight"
That was something that Lucretia has said many times in the past few years, usually after saying or doing something decidedly atypical for one of her calling. She wasn't born with the name 'Lucretia', either. Technically, she wasn't born at all - or perhaps she has been born many times, if self-replicating cloning counted. Either way, she hadn't done that since taking the name Lucretia, either.
Emerging from the Splugorth bio-laboratory, Lucretia was trained for a very special purpose - to infiltrate, investigate, and in some cases assassinate the enemies of Atlantis. Lucretia may have since broke free of the Splugorth brainwashing, but she remembered each and every one of her targets, and never fully forgave herself for them. At times, her target was a high value target, like a politician, military leader, or arms producer; for these the ability to self-replicate and perform a lone-wolf suicide attack was quite handy, as was the training she had received in the ancient martial art Taijeet Kravfudo (or at least, that's what a scholar later told her it was called - all she had ever called it was 'effective'). Other times, it was individuals who had simply annoyed her master, but did not warrant a full assault team - such as those of her sister Altara that had gone rogue. Those were the deaths that weighed most heavily upon her, save one. That one was the one that almost cost her everything, but also why she made her way to the Tomorrow Legion.
It happened a year or two after she had become a Cyber-Knight (a story unto itself, for those who earn her trust enough to hear it), during the siege of Tolkeen. The Coalition's anti-D-Bee policies bothered her significantly, even if they didn't bother her much at all, thanks to the ease of escaping their notice that a visor and her infiltration training provided. She sided with Tolkeen, deciding that fighting for freedom and acceptance of the different was the very essence of being a Cyber-Knight. Not that she criticized those of her order who felt they should stay out of the war altogether, but being a former slave and a D-Bee herself gave a bit of a different perspective on the matter.
The war, obviously, did not go well. It was toward the end of the war, when Tolkeen was desperate that it happened. Lucretia's unit had been mostly wiped out defending a village, when something she never expected to see appeared on the battlefield - a demon. Now, the demon was attacking coalition force, but still, it was a demon and she was a Cyber-Knight - she did what any good Cyber-Knight would do: she attacked the demon. It was not an easy fight, and had she been on her own she would not have likely survived; luckily the Coalition forces decided that attacking the demon was a better idea than attacking her. The coalition forces lost almost all of their troops, but they eventually managed to take it down.
Lucretia convinced the coalition commander that it would be best for both of them to declare a temporary truce and vacate the battlefield (which wasn't hard after they had seen what she could do to a demon)... when a barrage of magic stormed down on the severely weakened coalition forces, killing them. She turned to see a pair of Tolkeen mages, discussing among themselves that the demon had been quite effective, and that it was a pity it had been lost - they would have to arrange a new batch of sacrifices from the nearby village. Apparently they hadn't noticed that Lucretia had dove out of the way of their attacks. Without thinking, she drew her gun and fired, killing one instantly and grievously wounding the other.
As the survivor howled in shock, rage, and pain, Lucretia simply stared at the gun in her hand. It was certainly not the first time she had killed, nor the first since she had become a Cyber-Knight. However, as she was much more of a "kick them in the face" kind of woman, she had not killed with that gun since her last assassination mission, which was also the last time she had killed in cold blood... and then it dawned on her - she hadn't killed an enemy, she had murdered an ally. As she felt her Cyber-Knight powers fading she dropped the gun, turned, and walked away. As she walked she unclipped the grenades from her belt and dropped those as well, then the vibro-knife at the small of her back. Every weapon she carried ended on the ground that day, and she has not wielded one since.
One might wonder how a fallen Cyber-Knight ends up in the Tomorrow Legion. That can be answered in two words: Lord Coake. Lucretia had been wandering, lost and confused, when she came upon some Tolkeen refugees. Seeing people in need returned her to her senses, or at least mostly. They took her in and shared what little they had as she recovered her strength, greatly weakened from her days of no food, no sleep, and almost no water. Soon though, she had recovered her strength and the roles reversed - she protected them as best she could without her Cyber-Knight powers. For the most part, that meant scouting out and misdirecting coalition outriders to keep them from finding the nomadic refugee camp - her rather rusty infiltration skills were pushed to their limits, but it worked - for a while.
A coalition patrol found the refugees one evening and decided that rather than report back to the main force about it, it would be more fun to just wipe them out. Lasers lit the night and innocents died, and Lucretia felt powerless to stop it. She had no psionics, no, psi-blade, no cyber armor - she had no chance of defeating them. So she did what she could do. She led a group of children - some orphans, some orphaned that night - away from the camp into hiding. It didn't work. A grenade clattered next to the boulder they were hiding behind, and there was only thing Lucretia could do to protect the children - she dove on the grenade. It should have killed her. Even if she had her Cyber Armor it could have killed her. Yet, it did not.
Had Lord Coake not been nearby and heard the attack, it is likely that the Coalition patrol would have killed them all, regardless. However, he was and he did, and chased off the coalition patrol. Together they led the refugees to Castle Refuge. Along the way, Lucretia told him her tale. He expressed forgiveness, but gave her a task to earn atonement - she must travel the region and lead as many refugees as possible to Castle Refuge, and then to join the Tomorrow Legion. She did so, but still lacks confidence in her judgement. Her powers have returned, but she fears losing them again at a critical juncture, and others suffering as a result. For the past few months, she has served in a training role in the Tomorrow Legion rather than joining a team - if the basics of Taijeet Kravfudo she teaches save even a single person, it would be worth it.
However, she has sworn to obey her superior officers, and if they decide to put her in the field, she will do her duty to the best of her ability.

Lucretia is more or less mechanically complete; I just need to finalize power selection (leaning towards Speed, but maybe Smite or Quickness), and I'd like to do a bit more descriptive stuff regarding her powers and psi-blade when I can.
Before I submit her for official verification, I was hoping some more experienced players could take a look, make sure I haven't fallen into any traps?
In particular:
Is Psi-Shield overkill for her, given that she is already at 10 Parry? Would Improved Psi-Blade(for more damage/AP) or Major Psionic (for the extra ISP, mostly, and to set up for Master later for Mega Powers) be better options?
Are Tricks (particularly Agility Tricks) inherently dishonorable, and thus cause problems with the CK code of honor? I'm envisioning thinks like doing flips off of walls or an acrobatics routine up large enemies to reach a vulnerable spot (perhaps as a called shot).
Is spending 2 skill points to get Language(American) up to d10 for the ability to do accents excessive? It fits her background, but so would increasing streetwise and other skills which are presently somewhat lacking.
