Okay, spending 5 EP to get the HJ result -Automatic raise when using a power, applied to her Fire Bolt power. This replaces her Rapid Recharge result.

ArmaTech's answer to the difficulties of training ninja. A medium armor that practically makes its wearer invisible, but as is typical in a competitive market, this armor proved cost inefficient and was shelved with only a small batch of prototypes being produced and subsequently sold off.

Features:

    Functional equivalent of the Invisibility power, but it is only effective against any technological sensor (including cybernetics, body armor optics, power armor, vehicle, and robot sensors).
    The battery holds the equivalent of 10 PP, and recharges at a rate of 1 PP per hour. If plugged into a major energy source (generator, city power grid, etc) it can recharge 4 PP per hour instead, but must remain immobile.
    In addition, the armor grants a +2 bonus to stealth in any setting due to a computer controlled adaptive paint job and padded boots and joints.

Background

Ashley was one of the fortunate few born in a Coalition city-state. However, her luck ended there. She had psionic abilities that started to manifest while she was quite young, prompting her parents to strenuously clamp down on any use of such powers, hoping that she might avoid notice. For a time she did, but it couldn't last. While she was in school, subconscious exercise of her gift alerted a patrolling dog-boy, who alerted authorities.

For the crime of being unregistered, Ashley's parents were sentenced to prison. She herself might have gone with them, but a war was brewing...a war with the mages and monsters of Tolkeen. Since Ashley had been a child, led astray by her parents, she was offered a chance at redemption. Join with the heroes of humanity to protect the Coalition, and this black mark would be expunged. There was really no alternative.

Psi-Battalion training was difficult though, not the least of which because Ash had been 'trained' since childhood to reject and ignore her powers. The specialist trainers could sense great power buried deeply within her, but equally deep were her psychological blocks. Eager to produce a potent soldier of war, Psi-Bat's methods became more and more harsh as they attempted to break past those ingrained responses.

When Ashley finally broke, she took most of the training facility with her. Her powers had been so deeply buried that no one had realized, or even guessed, that she was a burster. Restrained, drugged, subjected to intense physical and mental stresses...the accumulated ISP that she'd been suppressing for most of her life exploded out of her in a spectacle that looked like a bomb going off. Terrified, mortified, Ashley fled the training facility...which had fortunately not been within the fortress-city, but closer to the staging area.

Hours later, she found a Coalition patrol and tried to turn herself in. By that time though, a lot of conclusions had been reached in the absence of vital evidence. The patrol turned hostile and attempted to subdue her by force. Ashley had to flee once again.

Over the next couple of weeks she learned just how living in a Coalition city had left her unprepared to survive outside one. Despite everything, she was forced to rely on her powers just to survive. In the end this was a good thing, as necessity and the brutality of nature taught her the control that she'd lacked. Even so, by the time she arrived at Castle Refuge she was in pretty bad shape.

It's taken her time to fit in with the Legion. Ashley is still unnerved by magic and nonhuman creatures. She's made her peace with the situation by believing that she has joined the ranks of the 'enemy,' and has no choice but to accept her place there. Echoing guilt over the conflagration of her 'rebirth' has left her almost pathetically eager to atone, whenever she can.

Daniel "The Wizard of Caz" Cazier - Cyber-Doc

Dan's a gifted human doctor originally from Free Quebec. In the aftermath of their independence war with the Coalition, he decided to go out to the countryside and bring his expertise to the wounded. Once he started, he found he couldn't just go back. He and Ashley met when they were both working in the same hot zone; Ash as a mercenary and Daniel helping tend wounded civilians. As a pair of Coalition expatriates, in their own ways, they became friends despite some tension to start with.

He was the one who initially suggested the Tomorrow Legion to her, having had some good experiences with them in the field, and has been a source of support for her since. Despite that, he's resisted joining himself so far...preferring to retain more autonomy in where he goes.
