Forum rules


1. Proposals are approved or denied no later than five days after the quarter ends. They may be approved sooner as time and GM consensus allows.
2. All GMs will vote yay or nay. Administrator has veto rights and also breaks ties.
3. Failed proposals should be resubmitted or dropped once approval is given or denied. Failed proposals will be deleted within 3 days of a decision.
4. Even proposals that are allowed are subject to editting by the Administrator or GMs.
5. Anyone may comment on a proposed rule.
6. Less is more: Players are reminded that when in doubt, renaming or retrapping is always better than new rules.
7. Show your math where applicable (preferably at the end, in shorthand), but make sure the final result could be put into an official book in terms of topic coverage, fluff, and layout.
8. Templates will be provided to ensure coherency of look and ease of approval.

Telekinetic Pistolero
Requirements: Seasoned, Psi-Slinger, Psionics d8+, Shooting d10+
Some Psi-Slingers learn to blend telekinesis seamlessly with gunfighting. This Edge allows a Seasoned Psi-Slinger to ignore up to 2 points of multi-action penalties when using telekinesis to make a Shooting roll in the same round he makes any other Shooting roll.

This is close enough to two fisted and missing the fighting element seems to balance with limiting to TK shooting.

I have no objections.

I would add dad is included in the others.

Does not combine with Two Fisted, Sweep it Frenzy.

Not bad at all. Please read the sub-forum rules though and use the provided template in the future. Still close and I like it. Needs a bit more development though

Psi-Slinger [Professional]
Requirements: Seasoned, Arcane Background (Psionics), Major Psionic, Psionics d6+, Shooting d8+, telekinesis power
The Psi-Slinger may wield ranged weapons with the telekinesis power, using the Psionics skill in place of Shooting. Also, the smite, boost trait, deflection, and speed powers marked with an asterisk (*) are usable only on the Psi-Slinger but activate as a free action, inflicting no multi-action penalty.
Removed because Two Fisted works fine

  • Master Psionic: A Psi-Slinger begins with Psionics d6, 20 ISP and the Arcane Background: Psionics, Major Psionics, and Psi-Slinger Edges (bonus ISP already included). The Psi-Slinger starts with the smite and telekinesis powers and may choose one more from the following list: armor, barrier, blind, bolt, boost trait, confusion, darksight, deflection, disguise, entangle, farsight, fear, illusion, mind read, pummel, quickness, slow, speed, stun, telepathy, warrior's gift.
  • The Psi-Slinger begins with Shooting d8.
  • Starting Gear: TK Revolver, Shard Pistol, Wilk's Remi 157 "Judgement Day" (Wilks-457 Stats in the body of a Winchester 40-82), NG Range Rider Armor (equal to SFD Bushman Full Composite Armor), Bandito Arms Mustang/Pinto Robot Horse (stats forthcoming) or NG-150 Streetrunner Hovercycle, NG-S2 Survival Pack, and 2d6x100 credits.

Two features of the Iconic framework become a seasoned professional edge. And the package itself represents the requirements for it :)

Not approved as is. I like the concept. probably needs to be more like frenzy where you only get one wild die. Can this only be used with a single shot, like marksman?

What about limiting it to pistols only? that way it fits the psi-slinger imagery of a gun slinger. So the telekinetically held attack can only come from a single shot or semi-automatic pistol.

So look at psi-blade, energy control. These edges give good examples of how to make power required edges work. You need to have telekenisis sctivated and that lets you then use your psionics instead of shooting.


I realize we have approved other edges that were probably not built that way, and we should go back and adjust.

Improved Frenzy is two fighting dice, and a wild die, what is wrong with followimg suit with that? It makes sense to limit to the simgle shot or semi automatic weapons.

I think the difference is that this is an attack with two different weapons.

Two-Fisted and Extra Arms both let you attack with a different weapon, and use separate rolls and wild dice.

Sweep and Frenzy both allow multiple rolls with the same weapon, and use a single wild die.

This seems to match the former rather than the latter.

Gotcha Freemage, thanks. Fix the psi-slimger to work when telekenisis is active. Telekenetic Pistelero is not even nessesary, just take two fisted, it allows 2 shootimg rolls. Psi-slimger lets you replace shooting with psionics.

So I think we can put this to bed as the Psi-Slinger Professional Edge plus the revised MARS Package. And then two fisted will work peachy.
