I’d be fine with the “once per rank” thing. The adding +1 to the rank of the spell seems odd to me and targeted at a single IF (and it’s derivatives). Is there something else that’s treated similarly somewhere (i.e., is there a precedent for this)?

Enough with the Born a Hero silliness. BaH affects which Edges and Powers you can select, NOT how they operate once selected. I have to say, I’ve enjoyed pretty much every aspect of the game so far. So essentially each OC would have to take out at least either a SAMAS or a UAR-1 and that isn't even accounting for the Mind Melters and skelebots. If we fight it's possible we could win but the odds of us doing so without any if the PC's (and probably a good chunk of the hostages) are pretty slim....

I have to say, I think Hardin would be down for a scrape. He doesn’t trust the CS in the slightest, and in tense situations he’d default to what he knows best. I wouldn’t be mad if it came down to him blazing; the scene is cool enough to warrant it. That’s not my goal, mind you (especially because f...

Looks good to me. For the extra AP, the base rules already allow it as a Minor Mod by doing it as a Trapping. Yes, the +2 AP is generally better than +1 damage, but that’s balanced out by increasing the activation/reload cost by +1 PP, as well as the potential complication of a trapping. EDIT: I th...

I think what you have are options to appeal to different preferences. I like the “punching through armor” idea for this one (not unlike the +2 AP for 1 PPE with certain trappings), but I could see someone choosing the (marginally) more reliable option of +1 damage. And some minor mods are more powe...

AP increases are an ongoing point of debate. In baseline SW, going beyond AP 2 is usually seen as gilding the lily, because most folks rarely have more than 3 points of armor, anyway. In SR, though, adding AP is pretty much straight-up adding Damage to a weapon--I went through Savage Foes to do a b...

Re: Supertech (literally Super)
Adding to ranged weapons seems to cheap...not sure how to negate that. Overall it works okay...maybe the points per Rank need to scale a little (i.e. only increase by 1 after Seasoned). I basically valued it at Minor = 1 point, Major = 2 points and used our old super tech scale. I would generally b...

I used the SPC as a guide for that one, where +1 damage was worth the same as +2 AP.

The Equalizer could work with just a nerf to it’s damage, ghost rock infused ammo instead of NG custom rounds, and “superior balance” or something similar for the bonus to Shooting.
