5.1 SOG Support Deployment: Gear up!

Post by High Command »

Gear up!
Date: September 1, 109 P.A.
Time: 1745
Temp: 75 degrees in the base. 86 degrees outside and the sun is starting to go down.
Weather: Clear, with fog over downtown in the distance.
Ley Line info: Old Chicago is rife with ley lines, but Fort Resilience is one of the few areas with none within a mile of the base.
Location: Bear Platoon's Armory. The artillery is still firing, but normal base defenses are in place and other soldiers are redeploying as well. The halls are crowded.

As the crew comes in, they see a Mark V pulling up outside. Dansk motions them in. "Alright, everyone in. Find a seat and settle. After a short ride we'll go over our orders." Despite room for 20 infantry plus power armor and jet bike troops, they have the Mark V to themselves. Their ride is short, maybe ten minutes. Those with a good sense of geography (Common Knowledge at -2 or K/Geography at -0) realize that means they went across base. That would put them either in the air field, or near the part of the base regular infantry do not go - the RCSG facility and where the Special Forces units are mustered from.

As they unload, they see some other folks, chopped from other elements of Chicago company.

"Team, this is PFC Dina Perry and Private Chai Son. Godmother has Klinger busy, so we're getting Private Son on loan from Second Rifles, and PFC Perry is a permanent transfer from Second Rifles as well. Steelcreek, you and Perry should get to know each other. You'll be working together often. You're both Rangers. She's TAG to your Recon. Our mission today is classified and we will be briefed on what we need to know as things develop. We'll be supporting Second Platoon of the 110th Special Operations Group. We'll be their recon and demo specialists. You are not to talk to the SOG unless spoken to, and keep your heads down, your eyes peeled, and don't get cute with gear. We've got a new web gear we're going to test out. We only have so many sizes, so if it doesn't fit you, we'll have to work you in some later. The new web gear has a IRMSS unit in the chest and adapters to our armor to allow it to get to you. Just press this buttom," she lifts a lid and points to a red button with a white cross on it. "If you need any weapons, gear, or reloads, check the armory over there. Hands off their armor though and anything with a name on it. There's a few new weapons up for grabs too." She holds up the Equalizer* and an Assault Shotgun**. "We also have some expanded power armor options open to us. These belong to the SOG, so treat them right." She then reaches into a case and hands a massive anti-material rifle to the very small PFC Perry. "Sergeant First Class Covele said you helped test these and were rated on them, so take one with you for the deployment." There are a dozen power armors with at least two of each of the following:
  • Available Power Armor
    PA-08A Striker Special Forces SAMAS
    PA-09A Super SAMAS
    PA-200 Terror Trooper Power Armor
PA-300 Glitter Boy Killer Power Armor
Over in the corner, Colton notices a full platoon of skelebots just waiting around, in addition to the others providing security.***

As is becoming his habit in these situations, Steelcreek wastes no time gearing up. This is more like it, he thinks as he looks over the available weapons; this is what he'd had it mind when he volunteered for Ranger training: first dibs.

After using the carbine only briefly, he's less than entirely impressed with it. For the weight, he had expected something with more knockdown power, something more... that. He hefts a gigantic black shotgun and is surprised to find it feels less cumbersome than it looks. "Alright, then," he mutters to himself, swapping out the carbine for the shotgun.

He begins quickly stripping down gear. The vambraces, while cool, were weighing him down too much. He slips on the new harness, locks it into place on his armor, and begins adding pouches to the webbing: grenades, ammo, binocs, all within easy reach. After a moment's consideration, he also grabs a C-10 from the armory. The old rifle is in excellent shape, as one would expect of any CS military gear, and Steelcreek smiles to see it; his dad had used one of these back when he'd led a dog pack in the army, and it seems fitting that his son should carry one, too. Steelcreek slings it across his back in case he needs range or stealth, and is surprised to find the rifle weighs less than the vambraces he just took off.

That done, he turns to the diminutive woman that Dansk pointed out. "Perry, was it? Good to meet you, and welcome to Bear 2." He quickly names the other members of the team, and then says, "If you're TAG, sounds like I'll be playing spotter for you out there. It'll be nice to have another Ranger on the squad."

To Private Son, he mostly just nods and says, by way of greeting, "Doc." He can't tell for the life of him why, but every medic he's come across has responded well to that nickname, despite none of them actually holding the title of doctor. Humans are odd.

"Steelcreek is it? Just call me Chai or Son. I may be the best medic in Chicago Company, but certainly no Doctor."

Looking at the others of Bear 2. He begins his assessments of the Bear 2 Squad. Using his power armor's on board computer, he pauses in front of each member and pressing his finger to the IRMSS cover. When there is a beep, Chai moves on to the next member of Bear 2.

"Sergeant Dansk, should I include you in my diagnostic scans?"

While waiting for an answer, Chai looks over the inventory at hand.

Not taking his eyes off the equipment, "The IRMSS gives us a secondary system to track each soldier on top of the soldier's IFF in each suit of armor."

“Private First Class Dina Perry, reporting.” She salutes Sergeant Dansk. She listens to the briefing, "Yes, the tests were met more then the required needs."

She suits up into her web harness, then starts refitting all of her gear into it. She starts working on the gun inside the case as Steelcreek speaks to her. "Good to meet you as well and thank you for the welcome." she notes all the team members names. "Good to know I'll have a spotter. With this baby" She glances down at the large rail gun she is working on,"it will really help out."

After Steelcreek moves on, she goes back to finishing unpacking and getting the CM-RG-15X Manpack Electromagnetic Rail Gun ready for use.

Steelcreek raises an eyebrow, an affectation he has learned from his human companions. It looks somewhat creepy when he does it, as he doesn't actually have any eyebrows. "That is quite the weapon. You must be something special for them to pick you to carry it." He says this without any hint of irony or sarcasm; the best hunters got the best weapons back home, and he still naturally assumes this is the way of things in the army (except for Psi-Stalkers, of course).

Perry. Got something to prove. Vice. Plenty of time to figure it out.

Steelcreek. Isolated. Looking for an in. Vice. Something to give him an edge.

Will need to eventually speak to the rest of the squad. May be some more interesting "needs" among the group.

Joe is happy to be back in the armory, when Dansk goes over the rules, he listens. When she's done, Joe moves over to the ammo crates and refills his depleted ammo pouches before making his way over to the power armors. Joe smiles as he approaches a Terror Trooper. "This will be fun to pilot." Joe says before preparing to mount up. Maybe I can punch a Brodkil's head clean off with one of these. Joe thinks as he goes through the startup sequence.

Chai has taken a seat between the armor and the weapons. He has found himself a spot to watch the incoming soldiers. Should be an interesting game of "See What You Can't Tell Me."

Marshall. May be the typical combat engineer. Likes the boom. Louder the Better.

Logan falls in with the rest into the MK V and finding a seat next to his roommate. As he feels the APC slowing down, he thinks to himself This must either be close to the air field or the restricted access part of the base. He files out of the vehicle with everyone else and sees various members from other units, likely hand picked for a special task. Wrights forms up into formation if one is called for, or otherwise gathers around the sergeant with everyone else, and listens closely to her briefing. Logan looks at the two new soldiers they are getting, and thinks to himself when Dansk calls PFC Perry TAG, trying to recall the list of MOS' from when he was talking with a recruiter to join the CS Army. What does TAG stand for again? I think it's Target Acquisition Group. As she continues the briefing, Wright thinks to himself Don't talk to them unless spoken to, don't touch their gear. I wonder if we're allowed to look in their general direction or breathe the same air they do? Mentioning the new web gear definitely gets his attention, as does the new weapons they are allowed to choose from, as well as the power armors, but Logan doesn't really care for those as much. The extra armor they provide definitely would be helpful for defusing bombs in the field, the couple of times he has been allowed to suit up in one he could not get over the feeling of how bulky they were, which in his mind was a huge disadvantage as a bomb technician. He gawkes at the weapon that PFC Perry is handed and thinks to himself That thing is damn near a quarter her size! After Dansk lets them go to re-arm and re-load, Wright approaches both PFC Son and Perry and asks "Are you guys ordinance qualified and how good are you at throwing grenades? Pvt. Logan Wright, Combat Engineer. If you guys are ordinance trained, that's fine, it just let's me know who is and isn't already certified to help me demo buildings."

Chai looks at Wright, "Wright, the question you should be asking, 'How good are you at your job.'"

Pointing to Perry, "Should Perry ever need to be using grenades or demolitions, she has failed at her responsibility of protecting you so that you can do your job."

"Your concern for me should be whether or not I can put you back together again, should something go wrong in you job. Your family and the army are counting on my abilitiy to either put you back together again or at least to be identify your remains with a hundred percent certantity."

"And just to ease your mind, yes I can follow directions and use grenades."

Wright. Needs clean air. Too much creosode and soot.

Dansk finishes strapping on a Flight Suit, stripping out of her armor. She is putting the harness on and snapping the last gear to it when she walks over to Chai. "Actually what PFC Wright is asking about Son, is have you been through the Basic Demolition Education Course. I doubt it as it is a platoon level requirement, not company level.* Wright, when we get back, you and Colton will run them through it. Then we'll get them tested and approved. In Bear Platoon, everyone is a Combat Engineer. Everyone will assist in bringing down targets. Just as every infantryman is a rifleman, so too is everyone in Bear a Combat Engineer. Get it stowed away people. We need to move. Sonny, that's you Private Son, help me into my power armor and get me sealed in and run through. Then help PFC Bouchard, PFC Marshal, and PFC Colton."

Nodding to Dansk's response, "There you go Wright, you have your answer. So until you are able to give your training, you will have to trust me that I will not get in the way of you doing your job."

"Certainly Sergeant." Chai helps with the various armored suit components. specifically noting any spots that bind or kink as Dansk is suiting up. If possible, Chai will try to make small adjustments to accomodate Dansk and anyone well while suiting up. Once the suit is on, Chai steps up on a step ladder and taps the face glass to get Dansk's attention. Through a series of hand signals, he verifies seals, systems, power, weapon response, and security. Last he tests comms, "Any other concerns Sergeant?"

Once he has the all clear, he proceeds to Bouchard, Marshall, and Colton.

When Chai reaches Colton he nods, "Hey Southern, How are you? Haven't seen you since the ambush and the whole Mark V incident. Not sure if you are interested, but I can get you some okra if you like that kind of fruit.""

Closed in the armored safety of the Mark V Solène let's the driver worry about where they are going. Instead she tips her head back and let's the rhythmic thumping of the walls put her to sleep. Shut eye matters, as she fades into a cat nap she dreams of the battle and suddenly snaps awake. Looking around somewhat embarrassed she fixes her webbing and then closes her eyes again.

At their destination she meets the new guys, glad for a medic not named Klinger and for another female trooper. Doing her best, she puts on a forced grin and nods at both of them during introductions. Unfortunately, the effect distorts her face like she is taking a massive shit.

Fortunately, genuine joy soon spreads to her face when she hears the mission is to work with and SOG and they are sharing their gear! She almost doesn't believe it when she sees the Super SAMAS. Iron Heart didn't have any of the new gear in the regional army yet. She checks out its various weapons, muttering the specs under her breath. Finally someone tells her there is still one more option and her jaw hits the floor.

"A Striker? These guys are bad ass." Not daring to touch it she talks about the massive missile payload and the relative merits of the hand held particle beam canon, concluding that - of course - the C-40R is still her favorite weapon. "There's just something about the thud of solid slugs that's comforting"

learning the unit is available she almost doesn't request it, surely it's a prank. Yet, nothing ventured, nothing gained.

There is a momentary look on Dansk's face that indicates Son is on a line he didn't realize was there. But she says nothing and makes no outward show of any concern, aside from the look. Her face relaxes as she turns away. She mounts into the Glitter Boy Killer with practiced ease.

Should Perry ever need to be using demolitions, it is because that is part of the job of this unit, and enemies can get behind us in close quarters and sometimes the best way to take out multiple targets at close range is Mr. Grenade, PFC Son. And while I may or may not worry about your ability to stitch me back together, I can assure you it will not be because I fucked up my job." Or is it more of a 'Since you're already training PFC Perry' thing?" "You can orgasm after you get strapped in." Wright jokingly says to Brouchard.

Logan then slips on one of the new gear webbing and thinks to himself Oh damn! This redistributes the weight on me so much better! He then looks over to the new assault shotguns and picks it up testing the weight. Hmm, this feels like it's about 50% heavier than the Dragonfire, but look at what these rounds can do! After much him hawing, Wright unloads the grenades from the Dragonfire and stows them properly, then stows the e-clips, making sure to place the partially drained one in the designated area for less than fully charged e-clips, then picks up an Assault Shotgun and starts loading 16 rounds of each type in it when he realizes that he only as enough space for two more rounds. He briefly contemplates chambering a round to get enough room for a full 17 rounds for each type, but he ultimately decides to pocket a buckshot round to be loaded later and loads an extra Slug and BigBore "Shotgun" round, then falls in where Sgt. Dansk tells him to.

If Chai heard anything that Dansk said, it does not register on his face in any way nor does his body language reveal anything after her verbal reprimand.

Heading over to Bouchard, Chai situates the armor in a way to ease her access. Strapping Bouchard in, he again does a double check of all the straps and runs through seals and systems checks. Again using hand signals, he walks Bouchard through the operation regulations for her armor. Chai verifies her seals, systems, power, weapon response, and security. Last Chai tests for good comms with Bouchard, "Bouchard. Are you green for comms?"

Chai waits for green comms from Bouchard before heading over to Marshall.

Laughing at Wright, Bouchard gets fitted up. "It takes me a little longer than that. Wait'll I get to cruising altitude, but then you won't be able to hear my moans over the sound of the Jets on full throttle."

Slapping on the helmet she waits for the clean seal notification and then goes through the initial check list. Keying the mic she responds to Son's come check.

"Green for coms. Unfortunately I can still see you too."

(Rolls held)

Steelcreek watches the rest of the exchanges between his teammates, trying to keep his face neutral. Well, at least we know there's something that will make Bouchard happy. Or at least less overtly hostile, he thinks.

He smirks at Wright's boasting, and looks a little longingly at the giant power armors as several of his teammates select their units. He'd had the chance to train on one; a guy he knew had offered to pull some strings to get a psi-stalker into one of the small group courses, but it ultimately just didn't make sense to Steelcreek. Nobody back home has power armor, and if he goes back to the tribe with a useless skill set, what good will he be? Besides, it's hard enough dealing with full-environmental body armor from time to time; he's pretty sure he would go stir crazy fast if he were locked up in one of those tin cans, completely unable to feel the energies in the world around him.

But still, that Striker looks darn cool...

As Chai gets the signal from Brouchard, he moves looking to help Marshall into his armor. As he scans the room, he notices Steelcreek look at Brouchard then at the other power armors and just pause.

"Well that is the crux of the situation, Steelcreek. It would seem our jobs are hindered by the equipment at hand." Tapping his head, Chai continues, "Requires a little more brain power and a deeper sense of awareness."

"I am sure we could requisition some armor when we get back to command. Stay alive until then and we will see what we can come up with."

Rolls -- Common Knowledge 4
Smarts (to determine course and direction taken) [dice]0[/dice]
Raleigh Ray jumped into the APC when told to by Dansk. Grateful for the action and body-bag work to be over, he looked forward to returning to base so he could wash up and put this crappy day behind him.

When Wright sat down beside him, he gave the man silent nod and a tired fist bump for a job well done. "Well, it looks like I'm not breaking in a new roomie after all... Good work out there, Wrighty Tighty."

As the Mark V rumbled its way back towards their destination, it slowly donned on Raleigh Ray that they were not, in fact, heading back to base. They were on their way to the far end... The restricted side of base that he had never seen. The thought of having to see more action made him squirm a little in his sullied underwear.

When he exited the Mark V, Raleigh Ray immediately noticed the formation of Skeledots to his side. The sight of the mechanical murder machines warmed his heart as he knew, in all likelihood, at least one of them would be there to shield his person from... come what may. Though he knew Bear 2 needed to form up and get ready to go as soon as possible, Raleigh Ray took the moment to appreciate the magnificent works of art Skelebots were; beautiful blends of Form and Function, obedient to a fault and loyal to the end. Could even a Dog Boy be as good as them? Most likely not... Partly because he couldn't resurrect a dog from the dead like he could the robot soldiers as many times as he has spare parts to work with or improvise.

Unconsciously while perusing the formation of robot soldiers, Raleigh Ray put a fresh dip pack of tobacco in his mouth. This time it was the Bold Flavor... Just as quickly he spat it out again as the taste of ink fill his mouth. "Fuck you, Wright..." he muttered.

When Dansk ordered the team the form up and made introductions for the two new people, Raleigh Ray gave each one a respectful nod. He listen to the quick debriefing and figured rightly that this time they'd be going into the field vastly better equipped than the last. Immediately after he came up to Son and Perry.

Son, he could swear he recognized the man from somewhere but couldn't quite place him. "Welcome to the team. You're steppin' into some mighty big shoes, but I have faith in ya... Soon was it?"

Perry, he knew he had never met. But the moment she was handed that colossal rifle, Raleigh Ray knew what her game was in an instant. "hu... Lil' girl... Big gun... You're goin' a fit in juuuuuuust fine."
Logan Wright wrote:
Chai Son wrote:Chai looks at Wright, "Wright, the question you should be asking, 'How good are you at your job.'"
"Wow! How good am I at my job? I'll have you know that I am one of the absolute best on this base at my job, thank you very much. No, no, no applause is needed for being in my greatness.
"It's no lie." Raleigh Ray said in support of his friend, brother in arms, and roommate. "Sure, Wright may make weird noises now and then... and has a kind of funny face... and an odd-shaped head... and... yeah, you get the idea... but give this man the right tools and materials to work with, and he is an outright Miracle Worker! Now, if all you have to work with is a rusty radio antenna, a band-aid, and a used prophylactic... you come to me."

Immediately after the briefing and introductions, Raleigh Ray made his way over to get himself a fresh flight suit and put on the new IRMSS-equipped rigging. He would have preferred to take a full shower before heading out again, but a quick wipe of his ass with a improvised wet-nap (made from a paper towel and some tap water) would have to do.

Once ready to rumble, he made his way over to the power armors on display. Though it was just a loaner from the Special Forces boys, Raleigh Ray was more than delighted to be able to put his hands on something more robust than the typical Mauler he was used to. The GBK was tall and sexy, but looked unbalanced to him. Pass.
The Striker Sam was a flying missile boat with power to spare... and Raleigh Ray knew there was no way he'd be able to pilot such a machine. It was just too much for his meager skills. Pass.
However, the Terror Trooper was a beautiful imposing sight of black chrome, deadly claw-like fingers, and a massive hefty frame. It was what a war machine was supposed to look like! "DIBS!!" Raleigh Ray said with great enthusiasm as he claimed the machine for himself... licking it just to make sure no one else would try to take it from him. His cooties, his toy!

It was then that Raleigh Ray became cognizant of the conversation going on around him.
Logan Wright wrote:
Solène Bouchard wrote: "Sarge, I'll take the Striker unless you want it."
"You can orgasm after you get strapped in." Wright jokingly says to Brouchard.
"Wait..." Raleigh Ray interjected. "... did you say 'strap in' or 'strap-on'?"

It was a joke at Bouchard's expense, but only half way. In the back of his mind he had little doubt that woman did indeed have a strap-on that she used to put men in their place. Thank God she rebuffed his earlier advances or it would be his ass at the mercy of her sex toys! Barbra was more than he could handle as is.

Before getting into the Terror Trooper, Raleigh Ray made an effort to make certain he had backup plans just in case the big war machine failed him beyond his ability to repair in a timely fashion. After grabbing some fresh e-clips for the bayonet-equipped CV-212 he was using in the earlier fight, he affixed it to the back of the power armor as a backup weapon so he wouldn't be completely defenseless should he have to bail out and go on foot.

Lastly, Raleigh Ray fished an empty soda can out of a nearby garbage receptical, and then attached it to the Terror Trooper's inside with a little tape; perfect for spit-height. Only then did he start the process of getting in with the help of the new guy, Son.
Chai Son wrote: Once he has the all clear, he proceeds to Bouchard, Marshall, and Colton.

When Chai reaches Colton he nods, "Hey Southern, How are you? Haven't seen you since the ambush and the whole Mark V incident. Not sure if you are interested, but I can get you some okra if you like that kind of fruit.""
It was only at that point that it clicked for him, remembering where he'd seen Son before. "Oh, hey, yeah!" the Ozark boy beamed with a smile of happy recognition. "That'd be awesome, Sonny! I tell ya, they don't have the same grub that I used to get back at home. It's been forever since I had some proper okra... though I did figure out how to make proper hominy and grits around here... Okay, 'proper' is a bit of a stretch ... But it's closed. After, I'll hook you up; see if it kills ya, or makes ya cry fo' home."

Once the Terror Trooper was in 'Condition: Go', Raleigh Ray used it to pick up a CTT-P40 particle beam rifle. Between that, the missiles in its tubes, the lasers in its forearms, the rifle on his back, and the war machine's righteous fearsome power, Raleigh Ray was confident he would be able to kick some ass today.

He then looked over to the formation of Skeledots, began the process to pair two of them to his cybernetic implant. Once all the authorization codes were verified and approved by command, he issued the two robotic killers their first command. "Unit 1365882B, respond to new designation 'Heckel'. Unit 64717646G, respond to new designation 'Jeckel'. Confirm."

Chai suits Marshall up and runs through the suit diagnostics with him. Before Marshall steps back in the suit and moves away, Chai steps to the chest of the suit. "How close can you reach? Can the suits arms reach to the chest?"

As he scans the armorments, Chai's gaze settles on both a neural mace and a vibro knife. Change in assignment requires a change in gear.

And then the second responds on the same channel. "Unit 64717646G confirms response to designation "Jeckel." Interestingly, they do not say the words Heckel or Jeckel, but instead play the audio of him saying the words.
Upon hearing the confirmation, Raleigh Ray was pleased with the machines. Feeling a bit insecure already, he decided to use them as a security blanket.

"Heckle, Jeckle, form up on my flanks an' prepare fo' deployment."

With the Skelebots ready and responding, Raleigh Ray went through one final check list to make certain he was ready to go into battle.

"Let's see here...
  • Big scary power armor an' armament: check.
  • Backup gun an' ammo for when shit goes sideways: check.
  • Skelebot proxy-meat shields: check.
  • Dip and spit cup: check.
  • Tool kit to fix shit on the fly: ... Negative!

...Where the hell did that thing go?

Raleigh Ray looked around and eventually found where he left his field tool kit. Though large and difficult to move by hand, the powerful limbs of the Terror Trooper had no troubles hefting it and putting the kit in place. Once secured, it hung around the power armor's waist like a fanny pack.

With all items on his checklist hit, the Ozark boy sounded out with his readiness report. "Colton, ready to deploy!" He wanted to sound brave for the benefit of the team, but as he spoke his voice cracked like a 13 year-old boy going through the worst of puberty.

Hearing Colton's voice crack, Chai decides it is time to present Colton with the other gift. Walking over to Colton, he taps the leg so that Colton will look down. When Colton looks down, Chai holds up a can of longcut mint flavored chew. "Your throat needs soothing, Ozark. One chew of this a day should ease things. Medic special. On the House."

Chai slips the extra vibro knife into his harness and attachs the neural mace to his utility belt. As he is adjusting his rigging, the CP-40 hits his left thigh as it swings freely on its shoulder sling. Chai stares at it a moment. I could do with a little more versatility. Before heading into the APC to store the CP-40, he grabs two "Dragonfire"s. Attaching the one to his empty sling, he takes the other and CP-40 and stores them in a weapons rack.

Walking into the APC, Chai pulls down the storage containers and unlocking all the weapon storage racks. Any weapon he can find in the SOGs armory, that matches what the squad is currently using (pistols, knives, rifles, etc.,) he stores an equal amount in the weapon racks of the APC. Into the storage containers he loads extra e-clips and grenades. In yet another bin, he locks into place several more trauma kits and a couple extra repair and tool kits. Regretably there is only the one prototype weapon for PFC Perry.

He doubles back through the APC locking weapons racks and storage containers into place. Chai also assures himself that he has plenty of room for other things by knocking on empty places. He runs a PM check once again on the APC and sits himself behind the controls and waits for the next set of orders.

When Raleigh Ray saw the can of longcut chew, his jaw when slightly slack and his eyes began to come become glassy. It may have been a trick of the light, but someone might have thought his eyes began to jiggle as tears of joy began to come down.

"Oh... Mah'... God..." the Ozark boys stammered in amazement at the sight of the canned flavor-orgasm. With a trembling excited hand he reached out and accepted the extremely generous gift. Not having the words to properly express himself Raleigh Ray did the only thing his mouth could do to voice his appreciation. "Dr. Sunny..." ... He began to sing. "♫ ... You are my Sunshine! ♫ My only Sunshine. ♫ You make me happy... ♫ ... whe skies are gray. ♫

Raleigh Ray then held up the can of longcut mint chew and continued singing to it. "♫ You'll know, dear... ♫ ... how much I love you. ♫ Please don't take my sunshine away. ♫"

Wasting no time, he spat his dip pack into his spit cup, and then replaced it with a modest wad of the premium stuff, courtesy of Sonny.

Another satisfied customer. Chai thinks to himself as he steps down from the bucket he had reeled over to the armored suit Colton was in.
