How fast do you want to travel back to Fort Hope?

1. Normal speed: 8 hours/day, will take 14 days. No Vigor check needed only for those in the howdah.

In order to not kill the refugees, then, I think we pretty much have to take it slow. Assuming they're d6 Vigor, fully half of the ones riding topside will take a level of Fatigue on any given day, meaning we'll need to rotate them. If we start adding penalties on top of that, then we could end up with more Exhausted refugees than we can fit inside the Cassowary. We'd have to spend a day or two camped out, losing the time we'd gained, in order to let folks recover.

Concur. Take it easy, take it slow. Refugees aren't cut out for forced marches.
