Q1 2022 GM Poll

Post by Snake Eyes »

Please let me know how I am doing as your GM.

Poor = +0 EP (Please, please consider passing the reins. We have characters we would like to keep.)
Good = +1 EP (We had fun and were entertained. Keep on going.)
Savage = +2 EP (We had a blast, some cool stuff happened we will remember.)

Your vote will form one part of my EP award, if any. The other two parts will be based on the group size and my own post rate. Hopefully, I haven't kept you waiting too much this quarter.

In case it factors into your thinking, the GM Post Rate this Quarter was 1.1. While it looks like I made a post a week, that's far from accurate. The combination of a slow quarter and minimal RP opportunities kept you all at a low post count. Because everyone is pretty active when the GM does post, I have recommended an EP for everyone who kept up with the dizzying rate of 1 post per 2 weeks.

Also, please provide any written feedback as a reply to this post. I welcome constructive criticism. I also will accept destructive criticism in this particular case.
Beware the mesmerizing eyes of the snake!

Working great for me. I do not mind the slower pace, it lets me keep in the game. My own target in the games I run is once every two weeks.

I like the skill based adventure (though Kid keeps critical failing it). It lets us get some character out there that is not about murdering.
  • 2D6 EFFECT
2 Catastrophe: Something goes terribly wrong. The GM must decide what, but some ideas are a new and permanent Minor Hindrance, the inability to use powers for several days, or an explosion of some sort. The backlash should be thematic if possible. If the hero tampers with dark forces for his abilities, for example, he might become corrupted or summon something sinister into the world. If he’s a weird scientist the device might explode for 3d6 damage in a Medium Blast Template, or he might develop a Quirk, Phobia, or other “madness.”

3 Backfire: The power succeeds as with a raise but affects a different target with the worst possible results. A bolt hits a random friend, boost Trait increases an enemy’s skill or attribute, etc. If there’s no likely target, he’s Stunned instead. If the power has a Duration other than Instant, it lasts its full term and can only be negated by dispel (the caster can’t voluntarily end it herself).

4–5 Short Circuit: The power fails but the Power Points allocated to it are spent, along with an additional 1d6 Power Points.

6–8 Stunned: The caster is Stunned (see page 106). She subtracts 2 from arcane skill rolls for the rest of the encounter (the penalty remains –2 even if she gets this result again).

9–10 Overload: The character’s synapses crackle and overload with power. He takes 2d6 damage plus the cost of the power in Power Points, including any Power Modifiers the player declared.

11 Fatigue: The character suffers Fatigue.

12 Overcharge: The power draws ambient energy from the air, automatically succeeding against the target with a raise and costing the caster no Power Points!

I also do not mind the slower pace. I have been having trouble with focus and the slower pace means I don't get left behind.

I'm OK with either faster or slower and just happy we have a good story to latch onto. I will admit I have trouble following games that don't have a set schedule but that is my ASD and not anyone's fault.

This is my favourite group, I like the investigative angle and the lee way I get to play a bit of a scoundrel.

I can barely keep up as it is, so pace is fine.
