Silvery Refractions

Morri, for obvious reasons, didn't think back much to the fateful night of her Becoming.

Her family had been driving to the airport, to catch the long flight home, after a holiday spent visiting distant relatives. It was late at night for they had to check-in a few hours before their flight, which was at the crack of dawn, and they were travelling along a lonely and vacant highway. Morri, and her twin sister Morgana, had been snoozing when something in the back of her mind snap awake and alert. A scan few moments later something had hit the car and brought it to a screeching halt, her father had gotten out to look thinking they'd hit some animal and then all hell broke loose.

She'd been told her parents were fine.

Her next memory was laying in the nearby field with torn clothes and some people gently lifting her up and carrying her to a nearby vehicle. Then it was a barrage of information about Nightbanes, Dark Lords and some other things. It was stuff that they demanded she know, though she had some trouble keeping up and coming to grips with what had happened.

They'd told her that her parents were fine.

She'd asked to see her family or at least get in touch with them again, but they'd told her it was too dangerous to do so. Wait a little while, they had said. We'll let you know when it's safe to contact them. She should've pushed harder, demanded that they let her see her family. Though by then she'd been thrown into her first mission with the team in Seattle and then she had other things to worry about.

They'd said her family was fine.

It seemed she had more questions to ask and she was sure as hell gonna get some answers.

As she felt the rage boil inside of her, she became aware of another presence. Glancing over her shoulder she spied two wolves, both having red-brown fur, sat watching her.

Both wolves had emerald green eyes.
