Power Points or No?
Once we go to SWADE we will need to think on something.
With the addition of the Shorting Rules and the accelerated Power Point Recover I no longer thing the No Power Point Setting rule will be needed when we update to SWADE.
If we stay with No Power Points Artificer will be allowed, however I will need to think up a house rule equivalent to the Power Point storage. Perhaps allowing Smarts/2 uses and a -1 to casting while the item remains. Whatever balances out we will still have both Artificer and Talisman in SWADE.

Re: Power Points or No?
I'm hesitant. I am so certain I read something about Powers + Power Modifiers somewhere, yesterday, that I did not like. Something in an official capacity. Skimming the FB group + Feedback forum, I cannot find it now.
But, I remember reading it and thinking, "Ah guess Ah ain't usin' modifiers."
Should I have been in a sleep haze, which is possible, and misread something, I'm ambivalent. It largely doesn't affect me, so whatevs .

So,
It turns out they are not even going to bother making artifacts compatable with No Power Points.
Does that affect any one's votes?

Voted, though my reasons for my vote have to do with the original setting, they use PPE and ISP in Palladium Nightbane, it only seems sensible to keep it.

Re: Power Points or No?
With it settling in at 2 in favor of power points and 4 ambivalent i will go with Power Points as I like the artificer rules and would think they could come in handy.
For humans who have Magic and Psioncis the two power point pools will have separate tallies like in Rifts.

I'll throw my vote behind power points after no small amount of reflection.
I do like the artificer rules.

Re: Power Points or No?
Not sure if anyone wants to change their vote, but I think I have a guideline for how we can use Artificer with the no power point system!!!
Basically to represent the missing power.
You create a device and while it has power you suffer -1 to your arcane skill rolls until the item is depowered.
Then the created item has Arcane Skill/2 Power Points.
Any feedback, does this change votes?

Re: Power Points or No?
I'm still ambivalent :p.
But if we're going to swap to SWADE, I'd rather stick with the rules vs houseruling where possible while learning the new system.

Re: Power Points or No?
So it looks like providing an option for using Artificer was not enough to change votes so we will be doing the Power Point System.
For humans with Psionics we will divide PPE and ISP into separate pools.
All other arcane backgrounds will use PPE, if you have multiple PPE based Arcane Backgrounds you will have the PPE determined by the lowest starting power points of the various AB selected.
Example 1 a Nightbane who has access to Talents (Gifted), and Sorcery (Magic) would start with 10 PPE as opposed to 15. (So far this will affect no one as none of you have a spell casting nightbane.)
Example 2 a Human whith Psionics (Psionic), Sorcery (Magic) and Faith (Miracles) would start with 10 ISP and 10 PPE.

I am calling for a rework of powers and edges or at least time to figure it out for myself.
