The Wheels On The VW Van Go Round and Round (Open RP)

From the frosty wasted town of Shamlin to the unknown location of Claude.

Plenty of time to catch up on the past and what to look forward to in the future.

While he would normally insist on radio silence while scouting it had been a long "day". The cold didn't help so he actually welcomed the conversation to help keep his mind sharp.

"Well it is possible. And she sounded more "about to die confession" than "big lie to try and be spared". Only way to be sure is find the kid. Regardless, I owe McGregor. He'd not be in a Coalition "lab" if I'd not have left." Pausing as he descends a slope to a stream bed paralel to the "trail" the van traveled. "How about you, made any other interesting new friends here? Any trouble I should be helping you keep an eye out for?"

The Infinity Sphere suddenly appears in an armored hand and Luke proceeds to toss the Sphere up and down. Each time the ball comes down there is a loud tink, then it shatters, and reforms itself.

Luke flashes a brief image of the sphere along the radio freq. "I actually touched down on earth because of one of these sphere's. The particular sphere copied a thought and then projected me through the next nearest Rift and wham, I was on Earth."

Antipas snorts "See that's a small example of why I hate shit like that, Unintended consequences. There's enough of those without editing reality. Bringing you here was a pretty small shift in defacto reality so probably nothing major happened of consequence. But if you do something bigger..." He lets the implications hang a moment before changing subject. "I knew you'd made enemies but you've been pretty busy if it's that bad. Shit man, maybe the gods sent Cass to keep our dumb asses alive."

Luke stows the Infintiy Sphere. And uploads a map of the area they are traveling through.

"In the time it took me to locate you, I confirmed a bit of mythology. These myths originate in the Three Galaxies but are all focused on this little planet."

"Earth has been a vault for the oddities and anomalies of the Three Galaxies for hundreds of thousands of years."

Luke taps a location roughly twenty miles North of their current location. "The Infintity Sphere I had. Reached out to another and literally used me to find its lost or secreted partner."

"That location on the map is where the other Sphere was. At one point I had two of them and the Hounds were hot on my trail for a while."

Luke turns to look at those riding in the old beater pre-Rifts pre-Golden Age van. "We really need to find a place to stop. The van needs some TLC and the crew needs that and then some. Not sure we are going to be much help to Claude in our condition."

"I consider myself and our current team, quite fortunate, that w have not been tracked down by more kill and retrieval squads."

"Oddly enough, the last one I know of that was hunting me, I captured a young Altaran from while evading the squad's demise."

"We'll start looking for a spot to stop for the night, not sure how comfortable we'll be able to be tonight but tomorrow should be better. The sheriff in Longmire has a rough reputation but nothing that should be too challenging. We'll be able to rest well there a night or two."

"Though she claimed to be a Splugoth Slave, she acted so independent that I firmly believed otherwise."

The pause is so long that Xander has to remind Luke that he is in a conversation with @Antipas.

"I just hope the Legion Research Facility outside of Kingsdale has been able to rouse her from her comma."

"Seems that coming in contact with me, she tried to strangle me, caused some sort of full body catalypsy."
