Location: Frank’s Fabricator Facsimiles: From industrial to the kind you need for your next job. No questions asked.
At the edge of the industrial district in an old abandoned space station next to a great chasm a man finds himself alone with only his arsenal of weapons on his backside. One bioborg, one ex assassin, one honor bound man on a mission stares darkly into the nearby void. His head swivels to shop, a gray building with two windows and a orange doorway. It’s time to get the fabricator.
But could it ever be that easy for the souless bio borg named Power Dump. His hankering for space wasp boarderlined on legendary. His penchant for talking dragon’s with a code was oft rumored to be insatiable. Both however were dwarfed by his need to paint the streets red. Ever his adversary Twinkle Toms and the 7th street Frolicking Fairies knew Power Dump was headed this way and this time they were out for murder. Little did Power Dump know that the fairy he killed with his god gun earlier in the week ( during the capture of A) was Twinkle Tom’s nephew Sparkling Sam. Normally the faries would play jokes and make Power Dump look look like a fool. This time, if the Frolicking Fairies could kill the ex D team assassin it would be gravy.

Nimbus is reading something on a tablet when the breaking news alert interrupts. He types in a command and the story appears on the groups communal screen. Without breaking his glance from the tablet, he speaks. "Probably shouldn't have let him off by himself."
When Power Dump arrives Nimbus looks to him, a smirk on his face. "Seriously? You killed a bunch of faeries? Were you deliberately going for the lamest foe possible? Who's next, Danny's dozen?"

"Thanks, big P," Otter said, snatching the instrument from him. To Nimbus she just scoffed and went to find a quiet place to work.
A few seconds later, malware in computers scattered around Phase World came to life after receiving a coded command via various networks, wired and wireless. Each one spewed search spiders like grotesque alien pods discharging face-hugging spawn...tiny bits of specialized code that were far more invasive than the relatively benign version employed by reputable search engines. These covered all that ground and then some; prying into personal messages, records of private communications...anything they could wiggle their way into. Their ability to defeat any kind of real security was minimal; they were stupid things. But in their legions they took advantage of that fact that there was always someone who didn't feel a need to password protect, or secure their system, and from that breach many others could cascade outward.
They were looking for The Sovereign and her crew...where were they, and what were they doing?
Each spider found what it could and trawled it back to Death Otter's feed. Her job was less to search for information and more to quickly analyze what was brought back...throwing out the noise and keeping the precious, precious signal. Keeping up with that data load was one of the reasons she'd gotten herself 'upgraded.'

Ace [dice:11sduge7]50604:2[/dice:11sduge7] Ace [dice:11sduge7]50604:3[/dice:11sduge7]
And lo they returned, the little spiders. Not as many as had been released, of course. Many perished at the hands of anti-malware software. Others languished in systems that became isolated before they were done. A few were eviscerated by data loss in transmission. Enough made it back though...more than enough.
Death Otter flicked through file after file, each summarizing the contents of a larger and more robust piece of data. Rapidly, methodically, she flagged each for deletion or retention. Then came the second run, where she evaluated the contents she'd retained.
Finally she was left with the results of the trawl and got back to her feet to meet the others and let them in on the dirt.
In the conference room of the Remorseless, Otter began with grainy, reconstituted footage from several security cameras stitched together.
"This is the Sovereign," the hacker said. She blew a bubble in her chewing gum, then popped it and sucked the limp pink remains back into her mouth. "Just before it left port. Funny story about this footage, but we'll orbit back to that."
A stream of data appeared in a sidebar on the image, scrolling rapidly. "This is the flight plan she filed with Center port authority. Unfortunately, they only logged their jump point, BUUUUUT because I'm awesome..." the footage being holographically projected in the air over the table flickered and changed to a rotating depiction of a spiral-armed galaxy. "On their way out to FTL jumping distance, they sent out several signals. Arranging lodgings, requests for shopping lists...all aimed at..."
The image wavered and shifted again, now showing a radiant blue planet flecked with white tufts of clouds and curls of green far below.
"Paradise. Thundercloud galaxy. It's basically a giant resort operated by the resident species called..." Here Death Otter started breaking into giggles. "...Pleasurers. Not even joking. That's actually the name they chose to be translated as. ANYWAY!"
"What a fucking coincidence that their old buddies are on that planet too, eh? We should totally catch up on old times and get drunk and rent a few PLEASURERS or something! Oh shit, almost forgot the other thing."
Death Otter flicked back to the footage of the ship in the port on Center. "So if there were any astute among you, you'd have noticed that this is not normal berth security camera footage. Quality is low, there's missing metadata crawl, and the angle is all wrong. Our old buddies were under surveillance while they docked here. Three hand-placed microcameras watching the ship from angles they could specifically view spots that the security cameras wouldn't be able to see."
She clicked the image off.
"The frequencies they were working on are registered to Center port authority, and the encryption was Center security. There was also a security checkpoint close by with orders to observe the corridors outside the berth for unusual activity. No specifics in the orders, and no actions other than observe. Maybe most importantly, the orders didn't name THEM, which is IMPORTANT because it implies that the SOURCE of the orders didn't want anyone to KNOW. Not even the ones carrying the orders OUT."
"So someone else is interested in them. And because they didn't do TOO good a job covering their tracks, it's ENTIRELY possible that they ALSO know where the Sovereign went. So be ready for a little of the old 'competition,' my glassy-eyed crew!"

Re: 02.2 - Enacting the Plan
As the revelation of their already being gone on a mission comes clear so does the fact that they have two full days lead on you. Most AI's would consider this a 6 day trip in the Remorseless. But it may be possible to get there sooner if you have the skills needed you could push the ship and get the most out of it, or a competent pilot could navigate through some stellar phenomena that would normally be avoided.

Re: 02.2 - Enacting the Plan
Death Otter went from the small common room they used for conferences up to the cockpit at the bow of the Remorseless, running her hand along the bulkheads as she went. Once there she socked herself into one of the rear seats and brought up the NAVCOM display. Immediately a projection of the galaxy they were in appeared, with the current location showed as Center.
She batted at the chart, zooming in, rotating it, and began playing 'connect the dots' with various jump points, looking for places to shave travel time. There WAS a way, though it involved some very dicey calculations...

Pilot (Support) 11, +2
Studying the astrogation charts with Death Otter Sa'Maku notes her bold routing, "When I fought in the pirate expanse we often had tofly outside the space lane. While the fleet officers handled most of it, my team would have to fly in the landing craft. The margin of safety for avoiding certain phenomena is overstated by about twenty percent. A rugged ship like the Remorseless can cut much closer."Axel Krowe, BAMF

Investigate to assist D0
Knowing that time is of the essence Fiona starts to research various smuggler and daredevil routes that may help hasten their arrival. A couple searches, and chats with acquaintances and she finds a doozy. "The Pohl corridor parallels much of our course. a thin twisting band with low stellar density. In some stretches it's possible to reach near intergalactic speeds."

Piloting 13
Ramson knows he can trust his team to do what they do best. What he does best, on the other hand, is make sure that whoever is doing the best of their best gets to call the shots in the heat of the moment. And today, at least, it would appear that Ramson is best. He grins savage agreement at Sa's dismissal of the 20% margin that 'standard' ships use through the lanes."Not only that, but let me show you a little trick." He uses a gravity slingshot maneuver on day 2 just before they re-enter hyperspace--the ship rattles a bit from the sudden acceleration, then stabilizes, gliding through the warp like a stone skipping across the water.

Sorry for all the problems the pervious post caused. No rolls made here
Power Dump just spends most of the trip on the can ejecting space wasps from an orifice while thinking about the last time he was at Paradise.
