Julie is the first one to arrive in town. As the leader of the latest SPEAR Tactical Response Team (TRT), she is given two weeks to set up the new office, a quiet corner of an office building downtown. The space has an open design, with a private office reserved for Julie. There are whiteboards, a conference table, a lunchroom and standard office equipment. Julie reports directly to Marshall Henry, who in turn reports directly to Jabari Freeman, Commander of the North and Central America Unit. Marshal Henry often communicates with the group via video conference, and today is no exception. After the team arrives at the conference table the 32" monitor at the end of the table lights up and the call begins. Marshall Henry is a tall african american man with a nasty scar that took his right eye. He wears a simple eye patch over the wound for the most part but has been known to use a glass eye at times. He grunts in acknowledgment when he sees the team has assembled and starts the meeting.
"Ladies and gentlemen." He nods "Earlier today an asset in our custody awoke from a medically induced coma. Upon waking they began babbling strings of numbers, seemingly at random. One of our crypto-analysts was able to decipher that the numbers are actually GPS coordinates to a secret facility located in Saguaro National Park in Arizona."
His image on the map is replaced by a computer generated map, an overhead view conveniently labeled "Saguaro National Park". The map zooms in on the coordinates which indeed show a small facility with a medium sized concrete structure surrounded by a few small one-room structures
The image changes to a weather overlay and you can see a very large white area is blocking out most of the map, with a small circle unobstructed around the facility.
"As you can see, there's a hell of a snow storm currently parked right over the structure. The structure is actually in the middle of the storm, which has not moved for two days. We need your team to go in and figure out what the hell is going on here. We suspect that the facility belongs to the Olympians, so we fully expect there to be armed opposition. You have a rendezvous with a helicopter slated to take off from Tuscon at 20:00 local time tonight. A private plane will take the team to Tuscon at 17:00 hours, five hours from now. If there are no further questions, I'll leave you to it."
