Adventure Deck - Q3 2018

As before, please post a reply to this topic and roll 1d54 for each adventure card your character can carry and check the results on this spreadhseet https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing

Be careful to use the number in the second column as your reference. I apologize if any of the formatting on the spreadsheet is wonky; let me know if you can't read it for any reason.

By way of reminder, Novice characters may carry 1 card per quarter, Seasoned may carry 2, and Veterans may carry 3. Regardless of how many cards ypu carry, you may only play one.

1d54 = 41: 41 - Mechanical Malfunction: A device malfunctions in some way: guns jam, bow strings break, etc. The device can be fixed by a Repair roll at -4 and 10 minutes work.

Adventure Card
  • Tale Teller: Your hero must tell a story of his group’s deeds to an audience of some sort (roleplay this) and make a Persuasion roll. If successful, the listeners become friendly and helpful to the entire party.
  • Parley: All characters cease fighting and listen to the hero speak for at least 30 seconds. Others may only take defensive actions during this time. This has no effect on beasts and other creatures that cannot understand the speaker.

Novice: 1d54 = 37: 37 villianous verbosity. Play on an opposing wild card to cause them to lose their action talking about there master plan.

Seasoned: 1d54 = 46: 46 Renown. Play after some heroic event. Gain +1 charisma with people who have heard of you.

Seasoned: 1d54 = 30: 30 Revelation: "Your hero finds all the information available when doing research, or realizes critical information when confronting some obstacle such as a monster’s weakness, the answer to a riddle or cipher, etc."

Just in response to a player question, per RAW Adventure Cards must be redrawn each session (so you cannot carry them over from last time).
