Shaure is a Baklunish wandering warrior from Zeif. She was a horsewoman in a fighting order of Moquol which got defeated by forces of Iuz; soon after she found herself on a Spelljammer that had landed nearby.
Eventually she met Cerulean and signed on the Roaring Manticore, and learned about ship handling.
