- Soldier: Professional soldiers get used to carrying heavy loads, and enduring harsh conditions. After a few days getting used to their gear (GM’s call), they treat their Strength as one die type higher when determining Encumbrance (SWADE page 67) and Minimum Strength to use armor, weapons, and equipment without a penalty (page 66). (This stacks with the Brawny Edge.)
They also get a free reroll on Vigor rolls made to survive environmental hazards (see Hazards, SWADE page 125). (Human Novice Free Edge) - Combat Ace: With this Edge, the hero ignores the Multi-Action penalty for making a Boating, Driving, or Piloting check and taking
another action in the same round. (IF) - Power Armor Jock: Power armor requires a basic level of training and experience to operate effectively. A character must have this Edge to avoid a −2 penalty to Agility and all skill rolls while wearing power armor. (IF)
- Nerves od Steel: Your hero has learned to fight on through the most intense pain. He may ignore 1 point of Wound penalties.(MARS F&G)
- Ambidextrous: Your warrior is as deft with his left hand as he is with his right. He ignores the Off-Hand penalty (see SWADE page 104).
If holding a weapon in each hand, Ambidextrous characters may stack Parry bonuses (if any) from both weapons. (MARS F&G) - Danger Sense: Your hero can sense when something bad is about to happen. When rolling for Surprise (SWADE page 108), he adds +2 to his Notice roll to act in the first round. With a raise, he starts the encounter on Hold.
In other situations not covered by the Surprise rules (a sniper shot, pit trap, poisoned drink, etc.), Danger Sense gives him a Notice roll at −2 (or +2 if a Notice roll is usually allowed) to detect the hazard and take appropriate action. If this was an attack and the hero makes his Notice roll, the foe doesn’t get The Drop against him. (HJ) - Ace: Aces are pilots and drivers who have a special affinity with their car, boat, plane, or other vehicle. They ignore two points of penalties to any Boating, Driving, or Piloting roll, and may spend Bennies to Soak damage for any vehicle they control or command, using the appropriate Boating, Driving, or Piloting skill instead of Vigor. Each success and raise negates a Wound. (Hindrance)
- Rock & Roll: Experienced shooters learn to compensate for the recoil of fully automatic weapons. If a character with this Edge doesn’t move on his turn, he ignores the Recoil penalty when firing at a Rate of Fire of 2 or higher. (See Recoil, SWADE page 105.) (Hindrance)
- Steady Hands: Firing from the back of a horse or moving vehicle is tricky business, but your adventurer has figured it out. She ignores the Unstable Platform penalty (see SWADE page 109).
This also helps when running, reducing the usual penalty from −2 to −1 (see Movement, SWADE page 92). (Rank 3 - Novice) - Combat Reflexes: Your warrior recovers quickly from shock and trauma. He adds +2 to his rolls when attempting to recover from being Shaken or Stunned. (Rank 4 - Seasoned)
- Two Gun Kid: Two-Gun Kid works just like Two-Fisted, but with ranged weapons, allowing her to fire or throw a weapon in each hand as two different actions but without triggering a Multi-Action penalty.
