Iconic Framework: Mind Melter
Background
Charleigh is everything the CS warns about Mind Melters, except that she is fantatically loyal. Raised by a PRP Researcher as his own daughter (even though she is not), Charleigh has been sipping at the well of Psionic Superiority and the value of the CS in its role as the saviors of humanity that she cannot told otherwise, even in the face of evidence to the contrary. She whole heartedly believes that humans are the superior creature, and that psychics are the future of humanity in its purest and most powerful form.

She has little respect for the rights of others who are not human and loyal to the Coalition. She will freely manipulate them with no remorse. She refuses to do this to those loyal to the CS or to humans in general. She prefers to use subtle choices when manipulating others, phrasing things so they are in the best interests of the target, but also accomplish her goals. As a note, in her mindset, mutant animals are tools, not people. They are no more human that skelebots are. Psi-Stalkers are a creepy divergent mutation of humanity who feed on good psychics and monsters alike. As long as they are pointed at the enemy, she treats them at least as well as she does mutant animals. She considers most mutant animals cute and adorable - even when they are shredding up the enemy.

    W-1 ABRAMS psychically forced Psi-Hound AD54-6210 "Brutus" to "act like a lap dog", and drool all over the psi-hound's Psi-Stalker handler's lap during off-duty hours. ABRAMS claimed it was a "present" for the Psi-Stalker.

Lt. ABRAMS is newly in her role as an officer. She spent 2 years in grade as a W-2 (Senior Warrant Officer) for Psi-Battalion, working as an intelligence operative. Her grasp of command is good, and she is able to inspire competence from her subordinates. As a Class D Dominator, she is under constant supervision, but her loyalty to the Coalition has been deemed unwavering by every evaluation done on her. She has the arrogance typically asscoiated with Dominator Class Psychics, but she has a very strong morale code in regards to the use of her powers on Coalition citizens and personnel. She was deemed a hindrance to ISS duties because of this, though she is cavalier with her powers regarding d-bees, malcontents, and mutants of all sorts.

She has a noted disdain for psi-stalkers and mutant animals, holding them as lesser beings. She tends to treat them as pets, rather than fellow soldiers. Despite this, she is considered well adjusted and well suited for long range roles. She is a talented manipulator and infiltrator, able to act to any role needed for the assignment.

By using advanced polymers, micro- exoskeletons, sensors, and a host of other minor features, this body suit increases the strength and mobility of the wearer, allowing for a strong undersuit to non-environmental armor. It has a slot for a 96 hour battery in the lower back, which can be recharged normally from any power source. Additionally it has the capabilities of a IRMSS built in as well. This can be activated from the suit's control computer on the wrist, or from a button push on the hip of the suit, hidden under a cover held down by velcro.

  • Arcane Background (Psionics): Begins with Arcane Background (Psionics) choosing five powers, the Power Points, Major Psionic, and Master Psionic Edges as well as a d6 Psionics skill. Mind Melters begin with 30 ISP (10 ISP base plus 5 ISP from the Power Points Edge, both of which are doubled by Major Psionic).
  • Expanded Awareness: Have the detect arcana power as an Innate Ability with the Range (Self) and Aspect limitations. They may sense supernatural beings within line of sight with a Notice check
  • Master of Psionics: Mind Melters get a free reroll on all Trait rolls (except Critical Failures) when using psychic abilities and their Psionics skill.
  • Mental Resistance: Have +4 to all checks to resist psionic effects, and +4 armor against psionic damage. These effects stack with Arcane Resistance, arcane protection, and similar bonuses.
  • A Little Odd: Mind Melters tend to be a little different due to the nature of their powers—gain the Quirk (Prefers subtle displays of psionic prowess) Hindrance.
  • Cybernetics: Mind Melters suffer −1 to the Psionics skill for each point of Strain.
  • Enemies: The True Federation consider Mind Melters allied with enemy factions to be a dire threat, treating them with caution bordering on paranoia. They prioritize attacking them and hunt them with extreme prejudice. For the Coaliion, as long as hse is loyal, she is safe. If that changes, she is a priority termination target.
  • Feared: Mind Melters suffer a −2 Persuasion when dealing with those who know what they are and fear them.
