Little is known about the daring thief who single handedly stole seven Rings of Elder right out from under the noses of the Coalition. The Tomorrow Legion didn't even know the being existed until the robbery.

The perpetrator is certainly supernatural in nature. Megaversal scholars in Lazlo have heard rumblings of such a specialist, selling their skills to the highest bidder. Something capable of going anywhere unseen and unnoticed. A ghost, not literally but figuratively.

It is not clear if Russia was his destination or an accident, but apparently the thief cannot move through dimensions without the support of shifters and other specialists.

Thief teleported away using a magic ritual.

Par's divination: The vision he receives is frightening and disturbing. A demon lord with hooves and horns sits on a throne holding a globe of the earth in his hands. On is hands are three glowing rings, Rings of the Elder, licking the globe with flames. The thief, a shadowy figure that cannot be scryed, approaches with seven more rings - those stolen from Tolkien. As rings are adding to the demon's hands the flames grow in intensity. By the time the the tenth ring is placed the flames consume the entire globe and the demon lord chortles with laughter. The flames spread and expand until Par can see nothing but fire bringing his vision to an end.

The Nightingale
Solovey-Razboynik, AKA Solovei the Brigand, AKA the Nightingale

A demonic part man, part bird that, in ancient times, made its nest where the Volga and Oka rivers meet and would prey upon paupers and princes alike. Its natural form is bird-like creature with dark feathers and glowing eyes.

• It has a propensity for shiny things.
• It also has a deadly song. When the Brigand sings everything dies.
• The great bogatyr Ilya Murometz slew the Nightingale by cutting off its head
• Killing it only sends it back to its realm where it will eventually return to earth
• Binding it on this plane, then cutting off its head may kill it for good
• A Mystic Kuznya may make the bindings for you
• The Nightingale serves Chort, lord of the demons, the dark prince.
• Chort wants the Nine Rings of Elder to bring his legions to earth and over run it

A demon with a powerful sonic attack, think boom gun only worse. It’s children are lesser demons in a similar mold (bird-like, sonic attacks, swarming, etc.).

It lives in the ruins of Kiev.

It sounds like it has a treasure hoard.
