Racial Abilities
  • D-Bee (Minor): Initial Reactions typically start at Uncooperative, or Unfriendly for human supremacists. Those with Unfriendly or lower Reactions will refuse to sell wares or provide services such as healing, repairs, etc. Failed social checks with Hostile parties often result in violence.
  • Enchantingly Beautiful: Elves gain +1 to Performance and Persuasion rolls with all races and peoples, except human supremacists.
  • Driven: Elves have the Driven (Minor) Hindrance.
  • Impudent: All elves have the Quirk (Minor—Culturally Superior) Hindrance.
  • Low Light Vision: Elves ignore Illumination penalties for Dim and Dark lighting.
  • Near-Human Physiology: Those unfamiliar with elven physiology suffer only a −1 penalty to Healing skill rolls and cybernetics checks.
  • Physical and Mental Prowess: Elves start with d6 Agility and d6 Smarts; increase Trait maximums accordingly.
  • Racial Animosity: Elves suffer −2 on Persuasion checks when dealing with dwarves.

    • Farsight 2 PPE (Armor) - Farsight allows the recipient to see in detail over great distances. She can read lips or read fine print up to a mile distant.
    • Darksight 1 PPE (Armor) - Darksight allows a hero to see in the dark. With success, he ignores up to 4 points of illumination penalties. With a raise, he ignores up to six points and can see in pitch darkness.
    • Object Read 2 PPE (Medallion of Marduk) - Object reading is the ability to see the past of an inanimate object, discovering who held it, where it’s been, and what it might have been used for. The object has no sentience of its own—the caster simply sees and hears visions of the past that took place in its presence. Success allows the character to see events that occurred within 10 yards up to about five years past. A raise increases this to 100 years and 20 yards. The caster can “fast forward” and “rewind” as desired, skimming about 10 years of history per minute of real time. When watching an actual event, it occurs in real time, just as if watching a digital video.
  • Power Activators: Magic users must be able to gesture and speak to cast spells.
  • Languages Known: Native (native, d8)
  • Combat Mage Spellcasting: Begin with Occult d6, Spellcasting d6, Arcane Background (Magic), 10 PPE, use the Ley Line Walker’s spell list and begin with three powers.
  • Combat Mage Edges: Channeling and Master of Magic Edges. Also begins with three Combat or Power Edges of your choice, ignoring Rank. Expert Blaster
  • MARS Advance: Combat Mages begin as Seasoned heroes.
  • Jack-of-All-Trades (Hero's Journey): Your hero’s voracious appetite for knowledge led to her picking up a little something about pretty much everything. She has the Jack-of-All-Trades Edge

Talisman of Marduk (Patron Item) (SWADE)

These unassuming talismans look like pieces of ancient currency made into jewelry. The trick to them is that embedded in the core of these ancient bronze coins are a chip of stone. This stone chip is from the mythical Tablet of Destiny, gifted to the high priests of Marduk in the times of Babylon. These talismans have been passed down from high priests to high priest, eventually coming into the hands of great leaders over the centuries. Anyone who comes into contact with one of these talismans is likely destined to become a great leader.
Powers
Godly Health: Even with the merest fraction of power from the Tablets of Destiny the talisman enhances the health of it's wearer.
• Gain +1 to Toughness and the Iron Jaw edge. If the hero has this edge, instead increase it's bonus by 1.
Magical Resistance: The Talisman protects it's wearer from harmful magical effects.
• The wearer acts as if he had 1 points of Armor when hit by damage-causing arcane powers, and adds +1 to his Trait rolls when resisting opposed powers. Even friendly arcane powers must subtract this modifier to affect the resistant hero. This stacks with Arcane Resistance, Arcane Protection, and other such abilities.
Voice of Kings: The wearer is able to speak any language even if only for a brief while.
• The character gets the use of the Linguist edge.
Sight of Destiny: The wearer is able to peer into the depths of time and space to view events as they happen.
• The wearer gains the Object Read power while using this talisman. The medallion has a base of 10 P.P.E. and regains 1 PPE per hour. They do not gain access to Mega Modifiers.

Backstory
Xander Leopold is the son of rich Elvish Merchants from Tolkeen. He fought in the defense of Tolkeen. His Family fled to Kingsdale just before the attack, and he is hoping to help other lands to anvoid the same fate avoid the same fate. Fortunately, his family was able to flee Tolkeen with most of their wealth intact before the assault. Xander stayed behind until he like others were forced to retreat. Being an Elf from an influential family has made him extremely Arrogant and he struggles with keeping his cool when people are disrespectful to him. But Tolkeen was a travesty to him, and he can't stand idly by and let them face the same fate, so this is an important mission to him.

I think Xander’s family might be more comfortable settling in Kingsdale rather than Whykin, due to Whykin being a kingdom of human supremacists that has tens of thousands of D-Bee slaves. Probably not the most welcoming place for Elvish refugees.

Great! Where do you envision his family wealth coming from? Stacks of cash? They make something?
Would Xander be working with any faction or independent or just on the train because he heard Sir Jaspin was traveling to Kingsdale?
Last, how much do you want him aware of the politics in Kingsdale? I can out a quick blurb together of important people he knows or knows of. Wealth is pretty much the source of political power in Kingsdale.

Unless I missed some errata (always possible) Bolt is not an option for the Adept Edge. And if it were you could only target yourself anyway. :)

Yeah it let me choose it in Savaged.us. But Ifigured it out and changed healing to innate instead and forgot to change it here. But fixed it here now.
