Elsewhere
Your body is shaken violently, causing your eyes to suddenly open. It takes a second to register that your left arm slammed into something solid.

Your vision unfocused, dim light pierces your eyes and you shut them again as you try to adjust to the sudden invasion of light.

An alarm echoes throughout the room hammering at your still awakening consciousness as there is a hiss in front of you. Reaching out, you find that you are inside some form of container and the hiss coming from the slow release of gasses

There is a room you can just make out on the other side, but as you touch the transparent cover, it burst open with a loud hiss, releasing some unknown gasses into the room beyond.

You collapse out of the pod, muscles not quite working properly and land heavily on the floor with a thud.
The lighting is low, dim and red … and occasionally goes off for a second or two, plunging the room into darkness

Your memory is fragmented, where are you? This place doesn’t seem familiar
“I’m sorry Rose, but you need to go inside. After what happened…”
A youngish voice echoed in Rose’s head without being bidden.

Whomever that person’s voice was, it jolted something loose inside your head. You have definitely seen this place before, but where you were and why you were in the pod …

After a moment, your muscles begin to unthaw and you can begin to move.

There are numerous pieces of equipment in here and two other pods like the one that you fell out of. A large bank of machinery sits, dominating the room with a small walkway at the side. What it does it beyond your ken.
The walls are made of rock and irregular

What do you do now?

Currently, Rose is on the floor inside a room, currently dressed in only some form of light medical slip.
You don’t know exactly where you are and why, currently unarmed and unarmoured

Rose goes to move but still finds her muscles are too relaxed. She looks around the room until she can finally move. She grasps on to the pod she fell out of and pulls herself to her feet. She makes her way slowly over to one of the other pods, the one on the left. On the way she calls out, "Hello?"

She looks at who might be in the other pod.

As Rose rises and peers into the pod, the gases swirl around inside, making it difficult to see who or what is in the pod. Whoever or whatever is inside, Rose can just about make out that it is humanoid in shape and clothed much as you are.

The lights go out as they have before, but this time, they go out for at least a minute, plunging you into complete darkness, except for the faint glow from the pod console.

The lights flicker back on, but only on emergency settings, leaving the room bathed in an eerie red light.

At the far end of the room, behind the bank of machinery, you hear a door slid open and then shut.

Rose hears a low decidedly unfriendly growl from near the door and a slight whiff of sulphur emanating from behind the machinery.

There is a clickety clack noise on the stone floor as a head slowly appears from around the corner, baleful eyes peering at you.

Rose deftly dodges out of the way of the hellhound and hammers a blow into its side as it flies past him. The blow bounces its hide but causes it to skitter across the floor. It turns and growls at you, pacing towards you slowly , swiping at you with a claw.

Rose's blow stuns the hellhound as it falls back out of range, causing her second blow to swing wide. It rolls back and shakes its head, bearing

Rose's fist smashes into the Hellhound or rather through the Hellhound. There is a stunned look in its eyes as Rose is sprayed with its blood before it collapses to the floor, falling off Rose's hand.

The pod hisses as the gasses inside escape, spreading over the floor before dissipating. As the pod fully opens, a figure dressed in a white gown falls out of the pod with all the grace of the way a whale flies, obviously still asleep or unconscious and collapses to the floor with a thud.

After a few seconds, the figure groans and lifts their head.

His head twitches round as frantically as they can, which considering their physical state, is very uncoordinated.

"W..ww...wwhhh...." he stammers, voice croaky but also sounding scared and bewildered, "where am I? Who are you?"

Rose looks down at herself, now covered in the blood of the creature. "This is not really presentable. I'll need to find a change of clothes now." She looks at the man who fell out of the pod. "You are in a room with machines in it. There is a dead hellhound on the ground right there." She points to the corpse. "You were in that machine there and just fell out of it cause the hellhound broke it when I was fighting it." She thinks back to what her name is, still out of it herself. "I think my name is Rose. Or that is what I remember someone calling me."

Rose tries to remember the voice and if the voice is the same as this man.

What is that thing?" he crawls away from the dead hellhound near his feet, scrambling back against the pod. As you speak to him, the man looks at you confused

"I....," his voices catches as he looks around, "I remember a name ...P P P Purvis," he stammers looking around, "I don't even know if its mine. Why can't I remember?" he looks at Rose plaintively, hoping for answers.

"What is this place? Can you get us out of here?"

"Some type of lab I imagine. There is another pod like we came out of? Do you want to see if someone else is in it?" Rose looks down at the dead hellhound. "There doesn't seem to be any more in this room. But I can't say anything about anything past the door. I was asleep too."

As Rose looks closely into the third pod, she notices that it is already ajar and has been long enough that there is not even the remnants of any gasses still seeping out into the air. As you look inside, you find the remains of the occupant; dead, but drying out and no sign of rotting.

Purvis steps back away from as you look inside the pod before you spot the lockers and head over to them.

In the dim light, it is not easy to tell if the lockers are trapped and considering the manufacture of the lockers is different from anything that seems familiar. However, you do not believe that there is anything untoward and as you pull the strange handle, the lockers open up without any issue, except for a strange buzzing noise that stops very quickly like it had been strangled.

Inside are several items either stacked up in the long compartment or sitting on shelves

The equipment is sealed away in clear plastic bags with two symbols;

The door appears to be stuck partly open. Rose and Purvis might fit through the gap, but if you wish to open the door, that requires a strength check TN 4.

Rose the bags with the armor and starts putting on the gear as quickly as she can, starting with the pants. She removes the medical gown in order to put on the top. Next she takes the guns and sword and puts them into their holsters on her gear.

Once suited up she turns to Purvis, "Do you know how to use this?" She holds up the Wilk's 447 pistol then she tosses it to him regardless of his answer. "Let's go"

"I...," Purvis begins to stammer before Rose tosses him the pistol. He flails at it, knocking it up in the air a couple of times before gratefully clutching it finally to his chest. He looks at it for a moment, before shaking his head. He ejects the e-clip and checks it before reloading.
"I think I know how to use one of these. Hope we don't run into anything dangerous. I don't think this will do much more than annoy anything with armour."

"Wait," Purvis gulps as he reaches to grab Rose's arm, "what if there are more of those things out there?"

As you look out through the door, you can see that the architecture has changed.

The field or whatever it is remains constant. Even so, you catch the occasional glimpse of a shape behind it as it impacts on the field. As it does so, the lights flicker again, this time visibly for slightly longer. Purvis steps back nervously a few steps, pointing the pistol at the field, whilst rubbing his temple.

"What was that?"

On the other side, behind another field, there is a thudding noise as if something had been dropped heavily onto the floor. You hear the faint sound of what sounds like cursing.

In the distance much further down the corridor, there is the sound of voices.

There is another thudding noise against the field which makes Purvis jump but this time, it is much weaker and the lights barely flicker this time.

In the distance, you can hear some footsteps moving down the corridor.

Rose watches as the barrier holds as what ever is on the other side hits it, albeit weaker this time. "Perhaps it is holding better then we thoughts." She relaxes a bit and turns towards the way forward. Hearing the footsteps finally of the people down the hall, "Someone is coming. Let's go met them."

Rose starts walking forward, weither Purvis comes or not.
