Looking for Feedback on Prometheus the Burster

I would appreciate if anyone could take a look at this rough draft of my burster for me for a live game. He likely won't be converted to forum format.

Prometheus, the Burster.

Prometheus is a highly curious, cantankerous old man who's dabbled in a lot of stuff. He's highly knowledgeable about science and <insert another knowledge here>. He's no stranger to mercenary work, but he's getting on in the years and prefers to avoid the front lines. He supports his allies instead.

He has the Mystic Staff option which will be retrapped as an Augmentation Helmet with +2 to Psionics, with the Boost/Lower Trait and Armor powers trapped with traditional psionic type trappings.

Barrier, Entangle (HJ), and Stun will all have cold/ice trappings. (Knowledge of thermodynamics allows him to realize that the things he can do naturally - exciting atoms - works well in reverse. He's no chiller(?), but he's picked up some useful tricks.)

Fly will be full on human torch style flame trappings.

As a GM I would let you change the staff to psionic. But I would not let you convert the two +1 mods into a single +2.

As a player I would not waste the points on fighting. 1 point is really all you need.

Otherwise it looks good.

PS: Other knowledge should be computers.

Ty. Computers was a great idea!

GM said it was fine, to the staff.

Its not only losing +1 to Spellcasting/Miracles, but also its utility as a weapon as well as the minor trapping for mega damage. Not that most people would use it as a melee weapon, one would hope. But still.

You're also removing the requirement that it be held in hand to be used - - which more than offsets its negligible utility as a weapon.
