Tome of The Sorcerer
This tome was once gifted to the Grand vazir Dantrenious in recognition of his service. However upon learning of his deception his possessions were surrendered to the throne and his life taken by Rangers in defence of the throne.
The tome is a large and very heavy looking one, however the enchantments on it mean it only weighs a little over a pound. When opened and used for casting any spe cast can be refined through reading from the tome allowing them to be used more efficiently.
All spells cast with the aid of the tome cost less essence on a raise. This effect can stack with the Mage edge (Wizard from SWD).

Background
I don't remember my parents. I grew up in the streets minding my own business. Being small made things easier. I could get into places most of the older or bigger kids couldn't go. I found food and clothes where I could, but my favorite place to sneak into was the libraries especially the ones mages would frequent. Their powers always excited me and I knew that one day if I studied enough I would be able to cast amazing things. With that kind of power I could explore the world with no one to stop me. I became more bold each day and found a sorcerer's repository where he kept his books. I would sneak in each night after he was gone and spend the whole night practicing and reading until I perfected each spell I learned. I would clean up before the morning so that he wouldn't know and sneak in the next night again right after he left. Just recently he came back in after forgetting something and caught me reading at his desk in the evening light. He cast a spell which held me in place. I couldn't do much but he just stood there smiling. He told me he began to wonder and took note that things never quite made it back where he put them. After a long chat he sent me to the Gray Wardens as a recruit. He said there I would learn and see the rest of the world. I look forward to seeing what becomes of this and the group they are going to put me with.

Looks good. Can you please include at least one relationship bond and name the person. That will give me something down the road to work with.
Perhaps whoever taught you (an street orphan) to read in the first place so she could read the magic books?

A female dwarf named Hilda. She ran a nearby magic shop. She would teach me words in exchange for running errands. She was also good to work for when food was hard to come by.
