Crunch holsters his ion pistol and sheathes his chain sword before looking at the old man, his mechanical eyes whirring softly in the dark. The hell is wrong with this cheeky bastard. Crunch kicks one of the rock hounds out of his way as he moves towards eastern portion of the cave. "Want me to take a look down this way?" Crunch asks Fell, with his deep rumbling voice. Anything to get me away from the weird old cyber-knight. If Crunch isn't told otherwise, he hefts his railgun and moves down the tunnel several feet, taking a look around.

With the cyborg (Timothy) moving away from him Sayeen nods in agreement. Well at least we decided on left pectoral. I guess a photo op might be out of the question. Seeing another cyborg looking for his lost pen underneath a rock dog Sayeen waves at him nodding his unspoken thanks. As this new cyborg (Crunch) makes his way down the eastern portion of the cavern he calls out to Cory, My lady I think this one has a bead on it, lets tag a long with this oh so noble cyborg." As he moves after the borg he thinks, I can only imagine the swelling pride his family must have felt knowing their child would be defending the helpless... Yeah I bet he could protect this team. My team though... I thought this cave was a bright spot, some kind of celebration in honor of myself. I did not even see the attack until it was too late. My eyes only saw the illusion of grandeur. It was all so real, my friends and family over 50 decades worth all here one moment and gone in a blink... And then so was my team." .
He lifts his visor drying his eyes and whispers as if realizing his greatest horror is before him, " All gone, they are just all gone. They were here and there, and even over there.". Sayeen starts pointing around the cavern feverishly. His eyes are wide with shock.
His voice rises echoing hauntingly in the cavern, " They were all here! They were all here and there. Then that monster took them all away, it and its rock lackies. All taken!! ".
The maddening crecendo ends with Sayeen out of breath. With great burden in his voice and reaching out to Crunch with one wavering hand he calls, " Cyborg! It is up to me to save them from my bane.... Gasping to find his voices he continues, " I fear I cannot do it alone, please you must help me. You have given so much but I ask this from you nevertheless. He has them and I cannot find my way..." Each step for this weary knight seems suddenly impossible and he struggles both physically and mentally to follow Crunch, but his will is strong and although he labors greatly the slow rythmic sound of his boots follow Crunch.

    After thoroughly searching the portion of the cave they all just fought in the Juicer absently listens to the party and old CyberKnight gabber on for a few minutes. As infuriating as it is to keep quiet and not pounce off down one of the two tunnels he forces himself to be calm and wait.

    After the long exchange of words between the old CyberKnight and the others he nods at Crunch.

    “Quick look, then right back.”

    Glancing around at the others to see their reactions to the rescued knight Fell replays the previous combat through his mind thinking, for a random group of very different persons we did well. Grinning the Juicer decides he likes how it’s going so far.

    Slipping the JA-11 rifle back across his back, the Juicer pulls his ChainSaw out and watches Crunch head off.

    Stepping up directly in front of the old knight Fell removed his sunglasses, possibly for the first time in weeks, and leans closer in towards the mans, half-mans?, face:“Look here CyberKnight. Either you join us in this rescue mission, delve deeper into the depths of this cave as a team member under MY command, follow MY orders, or I’ll simply tie you up and have Tim toss you out front to wait.”

    Clearing his throat he continues, glancing to see if Crunch has returned yet, “The second Crunch returns from his quick recon you fall in, as in fall in line, with our party. For now I want you at the rear, covering us as we move deeper into this rock hell, if anything attacks us from the rear YOU will protect us. Got it?”

    Not waiting for an answer the Juicer says, “Same march order as before, leave room for Crunch, fall in! Let’s get going, we got people to save and apparently large nasties to kill.”

    Chuckling the Juicer slides his shades back over blue eyes that look excited and cackles, “Old man you are in for a treat, this is SET!”

    Beyond Rock Monsters
    While the group figures out exactly what the story is with the loony old cyberknight Crunch does some quick scouting. He finds the tunnel north-east leads to a dead end. Circling back the group heads through the western tunnel. This time they pass through another larger cavern with two tunnels. One north and one west.

    Supplies & Surprise!
    Moving westward they find a third large cavern piled with junk and supplies, much of which looks like it was taken from the nearby village. Anything of value seems to have been removed and the stuff is all mainly just junk. However, one rock wall catches Cory's eye, it looks like something or someone has tunneled through the wall. For the moment, however, there doesn't seem to be much here. The rock monsters did not have anything of value, leading some to conclude that something else must have taken the valuable salvage from the village.

    If there is more to this mystery it lies in the tunnel to the north.

    "Cory? Crunch? You two still want point? If so after you. This mess looks like maybe something to check out. But. Not right now. Let's head down the north passage. Eyes open. Be careful, but let's go. People to rescue and all."

    Glancing over at the CyberKnight Fell smiles. Pointing at the rear of the group the Juicer nods to the older man. "Watch our six, thank you. I don't want to be surprised from behind."

    Putting away the ChainSaw the Juicer pulls his JA-11 off his back into a tactical low ready.

    Crunch nods at Fell. Hoisting up his railgun, Crunch looks around, but only seeing junk strewn about. Crunch harumphs and moves towards the northern passage. "We'll poke around for second, and then call the rest to follow." Crunch says to Cory in a deep bass brogue. "What do you think of Grandpa back there. I think he's off his rocker, lass. Be wary around him." Loony as a mad hatter that one is.

    Qoat looks around the supply and junk cavern with his Operator's eye. Looking for any salvageable material of immediate use. Will need to come back and sort out what the village can still use on the way out.

    Before the group wanders off, he takes the time to look at the section of wall that Cory spots. He activates his thermal vision and spectrographic scanner to see if he can tell if there is an opening behind it.

    When they move up towards the north passage, Qoat gets in position behind Cory and Crunch. He keeps his pistol out and says, "I'm keeping the lights on for you Crunch. Don't step on me if you decide to fall back." Good lord, he has his railgun out, this place is going to ring like a bell if he fires that thing.

    "Yeah, I'll still take point, duh. But this wall is funny here, like it's been tunneled or something." Cory replies to Fell, heading towards the spot in the wall and poking it with her club. She plays the beam of her flashlight over the surface. She takes the club in her left hand, holding it awkwardly with the flashlight and touches the wall with her right.

    Unless she finds something compelling in the minute or so she's investigating the surface, she catches up with Crunch. She has to jog slightly to cover the ground. When he speaks of the geriatric knight, she agrees 100%, saying, "Totally, like no doubt the old guy's nuts. He's half elf, maybe, I dunno. Speaks elven anyway." She walks beside Crunch when the tunnel is wide enough otherwise she moves ahead of him, keeping her head down as she scouts the tunnel.

    If the tunneled area opens into something interesting, Cory will climb in for a look see. It must be interesting, I better have a look, the others won't mind.

    The jucier's right I need to focus on whats going on right now. These heroes can help me save my team, or at least bring down the monster that attacked us.
    Sayeen Gabbersleaf brings up the rear very intently keeping watch for a hidden foe. He often stops to peer at the rock wall thinking he sees something lurking ready to jump out at him. He occationally clutches his stomach and a soft moan of pain escapes his lips. The soft orange glow of his psychic maul casts weird shadows that dance across hs armor.
    In between bouts of hunger pain he fidles with his radio cycling through the standard array of frequencies commonly used by the Tomorrow Legion.
    " Can anyone read me? Did anyone pack a lunch? "

      Tomorrow Legion SET
      Moving up the hallway the group winds their way forward before stumbling into a huge cavern. Loot and valuables of all sorts are piled throughout the room. More importantly the room is full of humanoids!

      A large Troll sits upon a makeshift throne with a juicer standing at his right hand, while a whole gaggle of Orcs (8, total) are gathered around someone or something in the middle. All of them are armed and armored to the teeth, more like mercenaries then common bandits. Whatever is in the middle of the circle has the orcs captivated. However, the juicer notices the group approaching and quickly draws his chain sword.

      Merlaggon
      Hatched in stone, burrowed up to a room full of junk, then confronted with some pretty smelly fellows (OOC: Orcs), Merlaggon’s first few hours of life have been confusing to say the least. Unsure what to do with him the smelly fellows lead the hatchling to a large cavern where an even bigger smelly fellow and some other humanoids sit amidst piles of treasures and trinkets.

      They form a sort of circle around Merlaggon and oogle curiously. Before very much can be done or said...another group of people enter the cavern. Two of them look to be made completely of metal.

      Looking around, Merlaggon notices the shiny people enter the cavern. *In Dragonese* "Hi! Who are you? Are you guys friends with these smelly people? You don't seem as smelly as these guys. OooOOOooo... how did you get so shiny?"

      Looking around, Merlaggon is trying to make sense of it all. First the smelly people brought him to these other smelly people and some treasure, but won't give him any. Giving his massive head a shake, he starts to lumber past the troll and over to the corner so he can watch what these people are going to do. Maybe things will start to make sense if I can watch what these two groups of people do.

      Seeing the number of enemies in the room initially, Timothy quickly identifies the two main opponents. Orcs, a troll and a juicer. At least this isn't too bad. "Bring down the number of Orcs. Fell will handle the juicer. Only engage the Juicer if all other targets are neutralized."

      Timothy takes a shot at the third orc from the trolls left. Shooting: [dice]2[/dice] Wild: [dice]3[/dice]-2 = 3

      With the shot going wide from Timothy slinging the JA-11 across his back he berates himself. Fuck. Jerked too early. Sarge would be pissed. You can't miss with D-Bee's. Timothy unsheathes his sword, and start to moves towards the orc he shot at. Fucking stupid shit missing on a simple shot that I had the drop on.

      As Timothy gets up to the Orc, he sees what has the groups attention.
      "Hi! Who are you? Are you guys friends with these smelly people? You don't seem as smelly as these guys. OooOOOooo... how did you get so shiny?
      WHAT THE SHIT!!!! Timothy will immediately click on the radio. "DRAGON! REPEAT DRAGON! TAKE FULL PRECAUTIONS. Going into a full defensive stance, Timothy reassess the situation. Fuck, the dragon changes everything. Fuck it. we have the fire power to take it down quickly.

      Timothy clicks on the radio once again. "Crunch, switch to your rail gun. worst case you bring the cave down on the dragon and pin it."

      A room full of smelly orcs, with a nasty troll and juicer all overly fascinated with something. The something is most likely another member of the Tomorrow Legion. This is just the sort of unambiguous situation Cory has been waiting for. Before thinking she unleashes a hail of light from her fingers. Inexplicably, god rays appear to burst through the rock and pierce each orc. She smiles, finally actually helping someone!

      And then she notices the dragon. "A dragon! What the hell!"

      If she doesn't immediately get cooked by the dragon, she says timidly in Dragonese, "Hi, uh, are you with these smelly guys?" She tries to remember if all dragons are bad, since she hasn't been bbq'd yet.

      "DRAGON! REPEAT DRAGON! TAKE FULL PRECAUTIONS."
      brings his apt attention forward perhaps too late.
      Sayeen's voice seethess with pain while he whispers" Bloodshed everytime, what or why? Yet everytime it is Bloodshed" Upon seeing the Troll, Jucier, Orcs, and Dragon he sets his mind with rugged determination. " Perhaps not too late. Maybe there is a way to seek a resolution without too much bloodshed. A Dragon! What Joy, whether it is terrible or happy we will soon find out. My pappy always talked kindly of these beings, and it seems to be talking, issuing orders or gretting us I wonder?.

      In the space of half a heartbeat Sir Sayeen draws upon his inner reserves unleashing his innate psychic abilities. A powerful Electromagnetic field Arcs around him brushing dust aside as he moves forward. His Nanobots infuse his body with vigor hearkening back to a time decades before old age had set in. As he moves he becomes a blurr, using the surface of the cave wall just as easily as he would the floor.

      With a fire fight beginning and amidst the commotion he rushes forward with a vain hope of peace on his mind. He puts himself in-between the two parties.
      " I am Sir Sayeen Gabbersleaf, the Elder Half-Elf. Eldest and Oldest, but blessed by my mother and her' of the realm of Arcadia." He sees the troll and almost falters in his conviction for peace. My bane! He trapped me! Yes but only trapped. He is so ugly and vile! But in birth he did not have a choice, maybe no one has given him one to be better. Now he will have it! Looking directly at the Troll Sayeen continues, " I seek parley and through that justice for the near by town. No more blood need to be spilt. I give you one chance to be better, what say you! As if to emphasize his point, Sir Sayeen's glowing orange maul brightens and pulsates as some of his inner reserves flow into it further imbuing it.

        *In Dragonese*, "Why are you with those shiny people, and why are attacking the stinky people? Is this what people do around here when they meet new people... attack them? Are you fighting over the treasure? They didn't seem keen on sharing it with me... will you share it with me if you kill them?"

        Merlaggon looks worriedly at the two groups of people. The smelly people are being slaughtered by the newcomers, but the newcomers are able to talk to him. He decides it is best just to wait this out in the corner until he figures out what to do.

        Making his way around the cavern, in a westerly direction, the Juicer holds his large ChainSaw Blade up in a defensive ready. Moving with a swift speed, faster than humanly possible, not as fast as a juicer can move, Fell watches the mass of enemies gathered. As long as none of these ass hats interferes he has the other Juicer singled out. One on one, cackling out loud the Juicer advances towards the augmented human opponent.

        Hearing the foreign language being spoken (dragonese) he momentarily wonders how the dragon situation will play out, then grins wider, hell that's what mages and borgs are for, dealing with dragons. This Juicer is mine!

        Keeping the other enemies targeted in his mind, as to not be surprised by them if they attack him, Fell swoops towards the juicer and laughs out loud maniacally.

        Right at the moment where he kicks into blindingly fast attacks everything slows down in his mind and he thinks about several things; how is this punk-ass juicer responding to my attacks, where are the rest of my team members, what are the other enemies doing, do these sunglasses make me look cooler, is Cory casting nuclear missile, what in tar-nation is a dragon doing here, why do I some times feel like Timothy is watching us all a little too much, I wonder if the Quick-Flex Alien would like to be friends, oh! Here we are finally engaging! Attack!!

        Swish, Swish Fell slashes out twice rapidly at the other Juicer.

        No quarter given to those before us? Where is the rest of my team? Will not peace win the day? Sir Sayeen shakes with visible emotion.
        Unable to stop the violence his mind whirls with aching pain.
        In a seething voice full of painful emotion he whispers, " Is this what we have become? A legion for the betterment of tomorrow, not willing to give quarter to our foes?" He grabs his head in pain dramatizing the moment. His voice rising slightly, " Why the bloodshed? Why not sue for peace? What betterment or hope do we bring to those we slaughter?" He cries out overwhelmed, his voices echoes eerily in the cave, " Was peace not worth a chance?"

        Why did the Borg a noble hero in his own right not give our enemy a chance for explanation or surrender? My lady, the head of my fanclub, too was hasty to wade into the conflict. Does my fanclub promote such wanton violence? Such power erupted forth from her, as if the fingers of a god stretched forth piercing the very souls of the orcs. Our Juicer leader so quick to meet the other Juicer in combat, nay not quick, perhaps gleeful... A legion for tomorrow I wonder...

        Despite the melee Sir Sayeen Gabbersleaf maintains his posture trying, perhaps in vain, to barter for parley.

          Shoot First, Don't Ask Questions

          Cory
          Catching the nearby group of orcs unawares, Cory lances white hot bolts of mystical light into their midst. Fortunately for them in her hurry to get the shots off the bolts fling wildly with only two of them hitting home and being easily abosorbed by their high-tech Huntsman body armor. Catching sight of the dragon Cory notices it is quite small, as dragons go, and is likely to be a recent hatchling.

          OOC: It appears the mega version of Bolt (Onslaught) can only cast 4 bolts of 3d6 damage for 2 power points each the regular Bolt power can do 3 bolts of 2d6 for 1 power point each. Also, each bolt requires a separate Mysticism roll. Which I rolled on your behalf ([dice]0[/dice], miss, wild die [dice]4[/dice], [dice]1[/dice] damage) and ([dice]2[/dice], miss, [dice]3[/dice] damage). In all cases damage did not exceed toughness.

          Fell
          Moving swiftly through the room Fell deftly sidesteps the fumbling orcs and swings at the juicer with his sword. The target is a little slow to react as his bio-comp is still flooding his system with drugs for the fight. Fortunately, the foe still manages to flinch enough to deaden the blow against his Juicer Plate armor. Fell follows with a quick rabbit punch with his free hand but the juicer has already spun cleanly out of the way and drawn his own chain long sword. Fell can feel his own bio-comp pumping drugs into his system as the world begins to slow down even more - everyone except his opponent who seems to be able to keep pace just fine. Perhaps for the first time in a long time Fell fels fully alive in combat.

          OCC: You can move your Pace of 16 as a free action in a round without inuring running penalties. You are plenty close enough. However, A character may not make more than one Fighting attack with the same weapon in one round so I went with a free hand punch, assuming your sword is not two handed.

          Qo'at
          Seeing his mates open up Qo'at simply picks the nearest Orc and snaps off a quick shot from his laser pistol hitting the Orc square in the chest but failing to penetrate his composite armor.

          Crunch
          Opening with deafening fire from his rail gun Crunch has a little trouble finding the mark as Orcs scramble this way and that. Two of his shots miss and slam into the walls causing rock dust to fall from the roof top. The third strikes home and sends an orc staggering back (Shaken).

          OOC: Raise [dice]5[/dice]

          Others
          Merlaggon slinks off to the corner to observe and make commentary while Sir Sayeen Gabbersleaf tries to open a dialogue, to no avail. One group of orcs manages to draw their weapons and charge toward the set, where Timothy stands ready to fight them off with a blundering attack that does little good. Suddenly, four orcs are upon him for his trouble. Across the room the big troll unslings a mini-rail gun from his back and shouts at the remaining fumbling orcs: "Charge!"

          OOC: Since you opened fire I gave you the element of surprise. That means you all began the fight on Hold (meaning you can act whenever), anyone who attacked I had go "first". If you character talked or made ready I used that as your action. The bad guys had to make Notice rolls. Those who made it were dealt in as usual. Those who fail got no card in the first round of combat. I grouped the orcs into two groups of 4 while the juicer and troll act as wild cards.

          Orc Group 1 - Failed notice roll - no card
          Orc Group 2 - Passed notice check - card 2D - action: move/draw weapons
          Troll - Aced, passed - card - 9D - action: draw weapon/shout orders

Chuckling aloud Fell launches towards the other Juicer attacking the man with laughter, spittle and the deadly end of the ChainSaw sword. Slamming the heavy sword downward, pulling the trigger to activate the chain blade, the Fell puts all of his augmented strength into crushing both the man and his will to live beneath the blade. Following up with a closed fist punch at the other juicers throat.

          Sir Sayeen Gabbersleaf sees that his bid for parley has failed miserably. I had to try. It was my duty.. He looks down at his gleaming maul and finds peace in amidst the turmoil of battle. Just slightly slower than Fell he rushes in a blurr of motion winding his way arround the orcs until he confronts the Troll. Images of the Troll burrying him alive, its grin the last thing he saw before his rescue spring into his conscious mind.
          "Bane! It could have been different! Where is the rest of my team? Why did you lay a trap for me, who am I to you?"
          Sir Sayeen's voice rises in a feeverish pitch after each question. His mind struggles to stay in control as it is assulted by waking dreams of his capture. Unable to keep his his emotions in check he strikes out with his psychic maul trying to slam it into the Trolls chest.

            Timothy sees that he is surrounded by Orcs soon realizes that the extra armor the coalition provided is going to be quite helpful. I'm going to have to thin out these dam d-bees quickly. Timothy sets his feet for an over the head swing coming down on the skull of the Orc in front of him. (Attack: [dice]2[/dice]/Wild: [dice]3[/dice] [Bennie [dice]6[/dice], last bennie [dice]7[/dice]]) in an attempt to cleave him in half and instill fear into his enemies. With the sword on the ground, Timothy will use his augmented balance and pivot on his left heel planting his right foot into the chest of the Orc to his right in an effort to cave in his chest. (Attack: [dice]4[/dice]/Wild:[dice]5[/dice] Damage: ([dice]8[/dice]+[dice]9[/dice])+2 = 15

            Timothy standing there with the sword on the ground, barely touched the Orc, and his foot simply on the Orcs chest stunning him, not doing any damage. Shit, what the hell happened? TImothy will turn the sword to the side looking at it, Is this thing on?

            Recovering from the initial surprise like seasoned fighters (even the one who took a rail gun round to the chest) the orcs pull their weapons and move toward Crunch. Obviously the two cyborgs are seen as the biggest threats. Not wanting to face any more fire from the rail gun they gang up on Crunch slashing wildly with their chainswords. The combat cyborg is able to fend off two of them, but the other two slip under his defenses only to clang their swords of his reinforced mega-steel frame.

            OOC:
            Fighting d6: -2 from multi-action, +2 from joker, +1 from gang up.

            Orc 2: 2, miss

            Fell’s sword cuts a mean slash across the juicer plate armor, a thin line of crimson blood is visible beneath the gash. Unfortunately, the drugs flowing through the juicers system seem to compensate for the wound and he quickly regains his senses and ducks the punch.

            Hit with a raise. Damage results in shaken + one wound!
            Juicer fails spirit roll, spends benny to soak: Aced! Removes wound and shaken status (-1 WC benny).
            Both Fell and Juicer now have full drug induced combat bonuses.

            Overcome with emotion and the limitations of age Sir Sayeen misses his mark as the troll easily side steps the blow. “Bah! Old man I should have killed you with the rest of your companions. But your old flesh would have tasted horrid”

            Juicer: 8D
            The sight of his own blood sends the juicer into a frenzy. With his own chain longsword in hand the drug-enhanced bandit makes his own slash at Fell catching the Tomorrow Legion commander slightly off balance from his last punch. He follows up with another ridiculously fast sword strike that Fell manages to duck but the maneuver leaves him a little out of position for his next strike.

            OOC:
            Ace again (this dude is lucky), total 15 to hit after -2 penalty. One Raise.
            Damage: 20 (AP 2). Raise. Shaken + 1 wound to Fell.

            With all the orcs clustered around the two cyborgs Cory has trouble creating a blast that doesn’t also encompass her allies. Nonetheless, she manages to catch the few gather around Timothy without scorching the ‘Borg himself - although he can definitely feel the heat! Three of the four orcs swarming around the cyborg are melted into small piles of ash by the vicious gout of mystic fire!

            OOC: Three group 1 orcs totally wasted.

            Orc Group 1: 4S

            With his friends burnt up around him and standing along in front of a cyborg the cowardly orc, retreats back toward the troll.

            OOC: Moved his pace away from Timothy.

With two steps of his augmented legs he manages to kick the retreating orc in the back, making him stumble but otherwise unharmed.

            Crunch mentally grins. I love this gun. Crunch switches his target to the Orcs surrounding him. Make short work of the peons and then we'll work on the bosses. Crunch thinks as he plants his feet firmly like the stone he stands upon, ignoring their sword strikes, and his Railgun coughing out high speed kinetic death at point blank range!

            The impacts are hard causing one orc to stagger backward while two more fall to the ground with stove pipe sized holes in their chest as armor piercing goodness chews through their composite armor. Amazingly one is still standing!

            OOC: 3 dead orcs. 1 left, unshaken and unwounded.

            With Sir Sayeen in front of him the Troll forgoes his rail gun and locks in mortal combat with his enemy.Letting his gun fall to the ground he unsheathes a chain great sword from his back and swings madly at Sir Sayeen but misses - barely!

            Cory feels herself weakening. She is relieved that the blast had such good effect on the orcs, but given the situation she feels she must eliminate these minions and let the big guys deal with the bosses. If they are still too close to her comrades, she'll call down the divine light - but this time she calls down the combined fury of the Sun and Moon to destroy the wicked.

            "Thank you for being patient Mr. Dragon, we should be able to talk in a minute or two" she shouts in Dragonese over to the friendly dragon, trying to keep the whole thing very civil.

            I guess the dragon has chosen a side. At least for the time being it is ours... His eye brow raises as the president of his fan club sends wave after wave of fire blasts or bolts at the orcs. Impressive!
            He grins proudly under his helmet calling out to Cory, " Way to go President!"
            With the Dragon joining the fray, Sir Sayeen tries to cave in the Trolls chest with his psychic Maul. Sweat drops from Sir Sayeen's brow as he focuses on maintaining two psychic powers, namely his electromagnetic Field and nanobot boost which is fortifying his vigor.               Juicer Joker!
              Jacked up by his hit on Fell and smelling blood the Juicer goes in for another blow, trying to finish the deed! Two quick successive strikes look for a target, Fell ducks the first but is a mircon to slow to avoid the second and a second blow draws blood on Fell.

              OOC: Hit for another wound, -2 to all actions.

              Orc 1 AC
              With nowhere to flee and not much in the way of cover the first orc moves and puts himself behind Fell and his opponent forcing Cory to fire into friendly melee. Breathing heavily the orc fumbles for his laser pistol.

              Impatient with the situation Merlaggon walks over to the troll and pounces at it, taking the creature by surprise. The claws penetrate the armor but the troll shrugs off the blow.

              Not much in the mood for fighting, the second Orc also tries to put friendlies between himself the main bulk of the group.

              Cory 2C
              Cory feels herself weakening. She is relieved that the blast had such good effect on the orcs, but given the situation she feels she must eliminate these minions and let the big guys deal with the bosses. With the orcs retreating, she hopes they have opened up enough distance for her to roast them with another gout of flame. If they are still too close to her comrades, she'll call down the divine light - but this time she calls down the combined fury of the Sun and Moon to destroy the wicked.

              "Thank you for being patient Mr. Dragon, we should be able to talk in a minute or two" she shouts in Dragonese over to the friendly dragon, trying to keep the whole thing very civil.

              Despite the friendlies in the area Cory is able to send accurate bolts toward the orcs, knocking both to the ground - seemingly for good.

              I guess the dragon has chosen a side. At least for the time being it is ours... His eye brow raises as the president of his fan club sends wave after wave of fire blasts or bolts at the orcs.

              Impressive!

              He grins proudly under his helmet calling out to Cory, "Way to go President!"

              With the Dragon joining the fray, Sir Sayeen tries to cave in the Trolls chest with his psychic Maul. Sweat drops from Sir Sayeen's brow as he focuses on maintaining two psychic powers, namely his electromagnetic Field and nanobot boost which is fortifying his vigor. As he finishes his strike his movement slows down from on par with a Juicer to that of a normal man as he lets his blurred motion power dissipate.

              The blow collapses the Trolls armor and makes a terrible crunching sound as it caves in his mighty chest. The troll falls to his knees and grans before landing on the ground in a heap!

              Bio comp system be praised, Fell quiets and somberly looks down at the fallen enemy Juicer before him, a rush of euphoric chemicals flood Fell's body. He feels no pain but is aware of the cuts to his uniform, armor and his super human flesh.

              Absently wicking sweat and blood from his face, Fell kicks the seemingly incapacitated Juicer in his side with the tip if his combat boot.

              No reaction.

              "You fought hard. Lived fast. Died in glorious combat. G'bye mate. Last thing I Or you want is you coming back as a Murder Wraith."

              Taking aim Fell swings the ChainSaw Sword and lops off the Juicers head.

              Glancing around at the others he quickly rifles through the dead Juicers pockets looking for any ID or clues on the purpose of these bad guys.

              "Well done team! Clean up. Make sure they're finished fighting and someone tell me... for how long is, the dragon is neutral for now, going to last? Is the dragon with us or we leaving him, her, I dunno, here?"

              Standing up, oblivious to any pain the Juicer stumbles from his blood soaked injuries but shrugs it off stepping closer to Cory.

              Starring at the dragon, ChainSaw Sword hanging bloodied down to his side, a mixture of his own and the enemy Juicers red blood, Fell says to Cory: "You okay? What's the deal with the big guy?"

He gets ready to possibly pull the chainsword away from the Juicer when he sees both the troll and the juicer go down. Right on! Right on! Our first success! This team needs a name. He rattles off a few ideas in his mind, Qoat's Questors, Qoat's Quellers of Evilicity, the Q-Ts, Q!, The Qoat-ables...oh, the Un-Qoat-ables. It makes sense to use of the motif already in the Q-mobile, oh sh$t, stop being distracted Qoat!

              Sir Sayeen feels the burden of death weigh heavy on his shoulders. He sighs looking at the mighty dragon before him and bows deeply before it.
              " Your presence is graceful, and your lineage mighty." It did not escape his notice that the dragon had attacked the troll finally choosing a side.
              How does one do it? The burden of being a peoples champion, the sacred duty to protect life in all its forms. Of course their is evil, I am too old to not know that. But doesn't everyone deserve a second chance, or a third?
              He glances at Fell, A job well done? Maybe... But was their a better way out? The quickflex's intent desire in checking over the Trolls rail gun snaps his internal monologue. He moves aside letting the d-bee do his job...
              What's my job? I used to have a team... Not anymore, I imagine all hope of finding out what happened to them departed when this combat started. Sir Sayeen stares at Timothy with pity. Well I supposed there is one job left. He walks over to him and puts his hand on his shoulder.

                Once the last bad guy is down, Crunch takes a quick inventory and stows his rail gun. Crunch makes his way slowly around the room, checking the wounded and dead. Once Crunch is certain that no one is going to mysteriously get back up to fight, does he bother to address the others in the room. "So where are the other Emergency Response Team, corpses or otherwise. Cause I for one would like to spend less time in this cave then I have already." Crunch seems to care less that Timothy and the Dragon are having a chest puffing contest. "Old Man, do you know where your people wound up, cause the brass is gonna want to lay them to rest if they died." Crunch asks the addled Cyber-Knight. I'm a lot of things, but a mining borg isn't one of them.

Lost in the darkness cutoff hastily from the rest of my team. I had hoped that before we engaged we could have learned that very information from our foes..."                   Standing next to Cory, Fell groans, either from pain or the situation. Possibly both.

                  Twisting a nob on his drug harness he whispers to Cory, "Ask the Dragon to stay here with you and the CyberKnight as the rest of the team exits. Then determine if the dragon is going to come back to HQ with us. I'll lead the others outside. If the Dragon wants to come with us that's fine, we could use the fire power. I think it might be time to separate our Borg from the Dragon for now. Thank you. In fact if it's at all possible it might be a good idea for both you and the dragon to fly back ahead of us."

                  In a booming voice Fell calls for attention "SET! Listen up team, pack it up! Cory and Sir Knight stay here, search for evidence and talk to our new recruit, Mr. Troll Stomper. I want the rest of the team clearing a path back outside!"

                  Taking one more quick glance around the cave the juicer nods at Cory, then turns to face the exit waving the others ahead of him, "Lets go. You want that gun fine I see your look, grab it, but let's go. Timothy you got point, we are right behind you!"

                  Turning back to face Cory, Fell nods his thanks.

                  Looking at the Dragon, Fell points at the beast and then at his own eyes saying in English, "I'm watching you big fella, Stomper you better behave for Cory and Sir Knight. You are welcome to come to our house and be a hero too." Fell grins at the dragon.

                  With that the Juicer turns to follow the team out. He chuckles.

                  The Juicer thinks to himself: Hilarious. We picked up a knight and a dragon on this mission. Maybe next time out we will get a cowboy and an Indian, or a superhero and an alien!

                  Sir Sayeen smiles at Cory and the dragon. " Well lets see what is arround huh?" He sees the dragon speaking and while he doesn't understand the words he does see that it is not threatening. He chuckles, " This reminds me a bit of the Xiticix hunt my pappy and I took many years ago. We were in the dark caves for days on end. We had gotten separated from our main extermination party. The bugs were crafty taking us out one by one. Our group dwindled down and down till it was just my pappy and I. As the darkness descended and our hopes drooped, my pappy bless him, turned to me and asked me to light a torch... Sir Sayeen laughs a bit, " I had gotten so used to my mother's eyes that I did not even pack a light! I spent three days leading my pappy out of those tunnels. You should have seen it, him all bumbling and stumbling almost getting us caught or killed." He continues to laugh a bit remembering a time spent with someone he loved.

                    Odd Job
                    Gale Wingstorm flies above the White River. The amazingly talented Mind Melter joined the Tomorrow Legion expecting to take over, not be an errand boy. Yet, the mission was simply enough, fly to a small village along the White River and locate the 1st Special Exploratory Group and order them back to Castle Refuge for a new mission. Coming up on the town of Illmarsh Gale learns from the villagers that the team went up to some nearby caves. One of them offers to lead the way.

                    Wrap Up
                    After a tense introduction for the newly hatched dragon the 1st SET does a search of the room for clues and anything of value. Unfortunately, no one was left alive to question, so it is impossible to know what motivations they bandits had. They manage to round up some weapons from the fallen orcs and troll. In addition to weapons and armor the team notes piles of food, supplies, boat motors, fishing gear, and other items that most likely belong to the nearby raided villages. They, unfortunately, also find what appears to be the remains of the ERT - humanoid bones discarded around cooking fires on the back wall of the caves. What a way to go.

                    "Yes we did, and you don't have to worry about these bandits again. It would appear that there may be some of your stuff that is still salvageable you can recover back in there." Timothy takes a quick look behind him at the team that is following. "If you see a dragon with our young lady and an older man, don't get scared. The young lady is on our side."

                    Seeing the multi-armed bird man behind the villager Timothy clicks on his radio. "Hey Sarge, someone from HQ is here. The four armed bird man thing." Timothy will walk up to the person from HQ. Why the hell would HQ send a messenger to us already? It's only been a few days."I'm Timothy Hernandez, second in command." Pointing to Fell and ensuring Fell is coming to the messenger. "That is Fell, the leader of this group. You're the flying messenger from HQ aint you? What you got for us?"

Seeing his former team strewn horrifically across the cave floor fated to be a meal stung his heart and mind in a way unknown to him. I thought I had seen it all... Carnage and sheer brutality is common place, but to be prepared and then eaten... Like a stew... What did I do?

                    At the sight of the bird man and villager Sir Sayeen buries his face into his hand. Oh more fans come to see the famous Sir Sayeen. Come to see the one that killed good men and women. Come to see an appalling monster.

                      Cory focuses on getting the area secured so that the villagers can get their stuff. She can't focus on the remains of the response team. She is a bit concerned by the symmetry in the orcs death and their victims. Coming to a conclusion only takes a few seconds of thought though, it's not so much how they died, but the reason why. There must be a life lesson in there somewhere. Cory just felt too powerful for her own liking, it was too much of a rush. She knows that given another similar situation she still would hold nothing back.

                      Musings and ruminating takes a certain amount of peace. Unfortunately between the dragon and they old man, Cory is distracted.

                      "Merlaggon, the bird-man comes from our leader to deliver a message. These people here are the ones the smelly men stole from. We help them. I have bad news. Some dragons eat a lot of people like me or those guys there." Cory says pointing to the villagers. So guys like Mean Shiny Man worry you will eat them. I hope you don't eat anyone. I like your questions."

                      She shoots the old man a glare full of daggers, usually reserved when a teen's dad does something terribly humiliating (you know like saying you "friend" on Instagram when everyone knows, you don't friend, you "follow". [I saw that happen at Thanksgiving. It was priceless]). "Dude, it's not all about you. Help be nice to the dragon. Here, say Hello"

                      "I don't know a lot of Dragonese, I wish I could talk to about more complicated things. Maybe we could teach this guy a few words?" she says pointing at Sayeen. "These people mostly speak American. This is how you say 'hello' in American: Hello."

                      Playing babysitter to a enormously confused powerful being with an alien mind is a struggle. She looks to Fell, "Can we please not point anymore guns or swords or pointy sticks at the dragon? I think I am helping it figure out right and wrong. It's very weird."

                      Oh, Merlaggon, she says approaching his face and looking into his eyes, trying to show that she isn't scared at all. "In American, this word, dragon means 'dragon'. So you might hear a lot of people saying it. Some of them might be scared of you. I'm not though, so I can help figure who's really bad, like the smelly men, and who's just scared."

                      Gale stands tall when he spots the group leaving the caves, he waves an upper arm in salutation while his lower arms rest with their fists on his hips. He practically oozes energy and confidence on the approach as he shouts a welcome, "Greetings fellow heroes and adventurers!" He beams with all of the social awareness of a fury beetle in a china shop, "I trust your mission was a resounding success worthy of the glory of Castle Refuge and its noble leadership!" He does a sweeping bow as he meets the group, exuding a cheery and almost psychic emphasis whenever he refers to himself, "I am Gale Wingstorm. That's right, you heard correctly, the Gale Wingstorm! Doubtless my reputation precedes me." As he monologues he offers overly vigorous handshakes and back pats to all who will take them, or all who are distracted by the spectacle of grandiose speech and movements and are not able to refuse. He only physically pauses for a moment, when approaching the baby dragon, unsure of how to greet the creature. He concludes that he should politely pat its muzzle and quickly continues speaking without stopping to breathe.

                      "I came as swiftly as possible, certainly no one else could have carried the message faster. Why, I'm certain I set a new record in expedient message delivery! The group is to return to Castle Refuge A.S.A.P.," he places emphasis on each letter, "there is a mission awaiting you."

                      Timothy takes a deep breath after listening to Gale make his introduction. Why does it have to be another blowhard? What the fuck did we do wrong? "We just got done with this mission, hell by he time they sent you, we were still on a mission. Did they give you any further information?" What the hell? You don't recall a team on patrol unless it's something really big.

                      Timothy clicks over to radio and signals Fell only. "I'm sure I don't have to tell you that if any command recalls an ops such as ours it must be important. I believe we have to double time it."

                      On the way back out Qooat stops by the "junk pile" they passed earlier and with a closer look is able to nab some useful parts for repairs of small engines, electronics, and other small time items.
                      As Qoat steps in front of the dragon, he lifts his two empty hands in the air, and points to the stuff, "Hey, just taking care of business." Hoping that the gestures and tone are sufficient to convey his meaning. If there was anything that Merlaggon showed interest in, he pointedly leaves it alone.

                      To Crunch, Qoat asks for help, "Do you mind getting the heavier items back to the Q-Mobile? Thanks." He takes the other items over multiple trips and stores them securely in the ATV.

                      After hearing Gale's introduction, he thinks, Gale is right, that guy is downright windy. Qoat holds out his hand to shake, "Sup Windy, names Qoat" He heads back one final time and goes over to the dead juicer. Fell didn't say anything, but juice isn't cheap. He attempts to disconnect the drug harness.

                      Standing next to Timothy and the newly arrived Birdman, Fell glances around at the others, taking note of what the others are all up to he grunts, says to Qoat, "Stored is fine thank you", then states across the radio, "Grab whatever you are grabbing and get into the ATV or fly back to Caste Refuge ASAP people. We did fine here, but now we have new orders. Regroup at HQ! Lets go."

                      Severin Fell, the Juicer Commander, then jumps aboard the Q-Mobile, ready to roll.

                      "Sure." Crunch says as he makes himself useful and caries things out of the cave whether they be weapons of remains he doesn't care, he just feels better doing something. When Gale appears before the group, Crunch mentally rolls his eyes, because he physically can't anymore. Great another wackjob joining us. Crunch thinks as Gale tells the group of his deeds. When Gale speaks of the group being recalled to Castle Refuge, Crunch shrugs inwardly. Wonder whats up? Crunch helps load the stuff into the vehicle before climbing in and taking his place in the cupola, his rail gun resting on the edge. Another day in the Tomorrow Legion. Crunch thinks again to himself, still annoyed at how the just finished mission played out.

As he releases her hand he termbles softly, "I am known as Sir Sayeen Gabbersleaf, the elder and eldest of half elves."

                      At Fells urging he too will board this Q mobile. He sits next to Fell.
                      Quietly to Fell his whispers "I can only imagine this unexpected summons is a result in the loss of my team.". He chuckles, " Or they are so desperate that they are seeking to give me another command." He runs his hand through what is left of his grey-white hair" I just couldn't lead... I realize my fame might throw your team into more dangerous and high profile missions, but that being said I think I could do some good with this team." Sir Sayeen looks Fell right in the eyes, "What do you say? Assuming I am not carted off into a dark hold do you have room for one more?"

                        Fell hears the Cyber Knight, wonders how to answer the question, then nods, "Top Chief Elle is in charge of SET. Once we are all safely back in HQ we will all report for debriefing prior to heading back out on the next mission. We will talk to her about it, you, the dragon and all that."

                        After a moment of silence the Juicer leans back into the chair and closes his eyes, quietly he says, "Patience Sir Knight, we will sort it all upon our return."

                        With that said the chemically juiced man looks like he has fallen into the sleep of the dead, faint breathing can be heard but the man looks, "turned off".
