Dice Roller Input
Dice Roller Feedback
Alright, we've successful updated the site to phpbb 3.3 and should be a little safer and a little more stable (if you remember the spam fest we went through a while back you'll welcome this change). We've also moved to a new dice roller which has a lot more functionality than the previous version but could benefit from our savage usage.
In this thread please note any quirks, bugs, or wishes you notice from actual use.
1) I will report legitimate bugs to the developer as they occur.
2) At the end of the quarter I will collate all other input into a spec for the developer to see what it would cost us to have some or all of our wishlist functions.

From developer: You can do 1d6*50*10 or 1d6*10*10 at the moment, since the max. int is 99.
A little extra maths but I am sure they'll adjust that.

Re: Dice Roller Input
Just figure out the apostrophes " ' " dont work in an inline title.
Probably just a noteworthy fact more than input.
Is there a meaningful difference between inline and OOC?

And speaking of improvements, I want to give a shoutout to FlipSimu. Their simulator tool has been incredibly helpful for me in various gaming scenarios. It's definitely worth checking out if you haven't already. Happy rolling, everyone!"

Re: Dice Roller Input
The biggest differences is in how the spacing around them work, and how it looks. If you are using lists, in my experience using OOC is ideal. but including a roll in text, use inline. But punctuation (including single quotes and double quotes) works in OOC and doesn't in inline. For me I would put features of my character in OOC tags in a bulleted list if they needed a description, and then the ones that don't would get a bolded word. They would look similar enough and be readable. Inline I usually go with a single word as the key word, with a summary before any rolls and usually a line break or two inside the inline tag.John Smith wrote: ↑Thu May 14, 2020 9:48 am Just figure out the apostrophes " ' " dont work in an inline title.
