Suggested Posting Format

"Speech is bolded, and parentheses are preferred," he said.

Narrative requires no special formatting.

I think internal monologues look nice in italics, he thought.

"Declaraciones en otros idiomas" [Spanish: Statements in other languages] look good in gold, with translations in brackets.

<<Radio communication can be formatted like speech, but in one of the lighter blues.>> "I like using the arrows, but parentheses are fine, too."

A similar color, italicized, works for telepathy

[OOC: OOC Comments can just go in brackets, with an OOC note at the beginning.]

Dice rolls
When posting dice rolls, don't forget to roll your Wild Die, as well. After you've submitted your post and seen the result, you can go back in and edit the post to describe your actions, or to add additional rolls (for Aces, Extra Effort or Re-rolls from Bennies, etc.) as needed. When you have a final result, highlight a success in green and a failure in red (and also note any raises). You can highlight total damage, as well, and include a note on AP or anything else relevant.

Fighting [dice]4[/dice] = Success with a raise
Wild Die [dice]5[/dice]

Damage [dice]6[/dice]
Ace 1 [dice]7[/dice]
Ace 2 [dice]8[/dice]
Ace 3 [dice]9[/dice]
Total = 18 damage, AP 4

You can also put rolls inside an OOC spoiler tag, if you like, to keep things neat, using the OOC tags.
OOC Comments
Roll [dice]12[/dice]
Ace! [dice]14[/dice]
Ace! [dice]15[/dice]=22
Wild Die [dice]11[/dice]

Code: Select all

[ooc]
Roll [dice]1d8[/dice]
Wild Die [dice]1d6[/dice]
[/ooc]
You can even include the result in the label on the spoiler, like this:
Successful Trait Roll Result 5
Roll [dice]13[/dice]
Wild Die [dice]10[/dice]

Code: Select all

[ooc=Successful Trait Roll Result x]
Roll [dice]1d8[/dice]
Wild Die [dice]1d6[/dice]
[/ooc]

Notice and Common Knowledge
It's handy in each scene for me to know how perceptive your characters are. With most posts, go ahead and roll Notice and Common Knowledge at the top of the post, in a format similar to this:
Notice 6, CK 6
Notice [dice]0[/dice]
Wild Die [dice]1[/dice]

Common Knowledge [dice]2[/dice]
Wild Die [dice]3[/dice]

Code: Select all

[ooc=Notice XX, CK XX]
Notice [dice]1dX[/dice]
Wild Die [dice]1d6[/dice]

Common Knowledge [dice]1dX[/dice]
Wild Die [dice]1d6[/dice][/ooc]
GM Bennies: 7/7
