Sarge's PCs Retire

Hey Savages,

At the end of this quarter (September 30th) I will be putting all my SavageRifts account PCs into inactive status. This will effect the following games:
  • The Nameless - Architect
  • The 18th COT - Silverclaws
  • The 7th SET - PFC Fox Simmons - retired
  • The Fighting Joes - Chai Son - retired
  • The 12th AAT - Xero X Kelvin
  • The 24th COT - Doc Olliday
  • Nightbane - Gravely
  • The 77th CIT - Luke
Two years of being an active player, accomplishes one of my life's goals. It is time for me to pursue the next goal: being a full time GM. SavageRifts.com has proven to be a perfect environment for developing and evolving as both a player and now I will do so as a GM.

As a player in 3 of those games and GM of one, I will be exceedingly disappointed to see you go (as a player). However, I'm glad you're staying active in the community and putting some games together. I hope to scrounge up some EP to join one sometime!

Yeah, Fox is gonna be missed in the 13th. I do ask that, in the unlikely event the current battle goes beyond the end of the quarter, that you consider finishing it off. (It shouldn't, there's only one baddie left, and he's got no bennies. I just want to make sure Fox gets a decent exit. How does becoming the official Legion rep in Hochatown sound to you?)

I will continue on, until the current adventure is done.

Official Legion Rep will be a good fit. Will give him even more incentive to modify the SAMAS PA.

Tribe and other GM's, though the characters will cease action in your various and magnaminous adventures, they will see regular time in my campaign.

I loved the GM insights and tweaks that made each of my characters a unique one of kind entity in their games.

A note, Vauxhall Cross is a site exclusive. There was no EP spent for character slots as they were originally characters for roll20. PM me with any other questions.

I am late to the party. But I hope your GMing feats are rewarding.

If you end up wanting to come back to playing, it will be good to see you again.
  • 2D6 EFFECT
    2 Catastrophe: Something goes terribly wrong. The GM must decide what, but some ideas are a new and permanent Minor Hindrance, the inability to use powers for several days, or an explosion of some sort. The backlash should be thematic if possible. If the hero tampers with dark forces for his abilities, for example, he might become corrupted or summon something sinister into the world. If he’s a weird scientist the device might explode for 3d6 damage in a Medium Blast Template, or he might develop a Quirk, Phobia, or other “madness.”

    3 Backfire: The power succeeds as with a raise but affects a different target with the worst possible results. A bolt hits a random friend, boost Trait increases an enemy’s skill or attribute, etc. If there’s no likely target, he’s Stunned instead. If the power has a Duration other than Instant, it lasts its full term and can only be negated by dispel (the caster can’t voluntarily end it herself).

    4–5 Short Circuit: The power fails but the Power Points allocated to it are spent, along with an additional 1d6 Power Points.

    6–8 Stunned: The caster is Stunned (see page 106). She subtracts 2 from arcane skill rolls for the rest of the encounter (the penalty remains –2 even if she gets this result again).

    9–10 Overload: The character’s synapses crackle and overload with power. He takes 2d6 damage plus the cost of the power in Power Points, including any Power Modifiers the player declared.

    11 Fatigue: The character suffers Fatigue.

    12 Overcharge: The power draws ambient energy from the air, automatically succeeding against the target with a raise and costing the caster no Power Points!

Some of my PCs are in missions that are wrapping up shortly. Others are right in the middle.

As I only have the one campaign I am currently running, I can work out a few PCs to stay a bit longer, until the current missions are complete or the pass into the next life.
