DOLPHIN


ABILITIES
Agile
Dolphins start with a D6 in Agility and increases Agility max tod12+1.
Dolphin
Semi-Aquatic and Environmental Resistance: Depth Tolerance. Swim at the characters full pace and pace +2.
Increase Vigor and Spirit one die type. Increase trait maximum by 1.
Dolphin Magic
Arcane Background: Spell Magic, Spellcasting d6, 10 PPE.
Master of Magic Edge
Choose 3 powers from the Battle Magus list.
Dolphin Magic and Whale Spellsongs only have the Verbal power activator.
Echo Location
Dolphins gain the Alertness Edge.
Expanded Awareness
Dolphins have the detect arcana power as an Innate Ability with the Range (Self) and Aspect limitations. They may sense supernatural beings within line of sight with a Notice check.
Instinctive Education
Athletics d6, Fighting d6, Survival d6
Ley Line Rejuvenation
While on a ley line, a Dolphin gains a natural healing roll once per day.
Ley Line Sense
Can sense a ley line within 10 miles, and tell how powerful it is, in what directions it flows, where it meets at nexus points, any Rifts, and other aspects as might apply (such as if a huge amount of its energy is being siphoned for some other purpose). Can also sense new or recurring Rifts within 50 miles.
Ley Line Transmission
Dolphins are able to send and receive spoken messages along ley lines at any distance. This can be a wide broadcast that anyone along the line can hear, or it can be directed to a single recipient.
Ley Line Speed Doubler
A Dolphin doubles pace and running die increases one die type on a Ley Line.

Dolphin
Dolphins do not choose a Race.
Dehydrate out of water and require salt water to survive.
Non-Standard Build
Dolphin. Nuff said.
No Thumbs
Literally, no thumbs. Unable to use standard technology.
Inhuman Physiology
Dolphins have physiology that is different from humans but is familiar to veterinary specialists.
Cannot Speak
Speak through their own communications method only.
No Legs
Can not function on dry land. Only able to flop around.
Illiterate
Dolphins do not have a written language and only learn basic symbols

Ocean Mage
The Dolphin or Cetacean has expanded their magic to full Ocean Wizard, selecting powers from the Ley Line Walker list.
Aquatic races gain the Water Sense ability of the Sea Druid below.
In addition they are able to cast underwater ultrasonic song Rituals (see The Tomorrow Legion Player's Guide) that ignore 2 points of penalties and—at the GM's discretion—require no materials.„

PNEUMA-BIFORM

A union of humans with dolphins or whales that combines the traits and personalities of the two. This pneuma-biform combines the gentleness, compassion and playfully irreverent personality of a dolphin with human ingenuity, resourcefulness and knowledge of the surface world.
- All pneuma-biforms can assume either the shape of a dolphin/whale (their natural aquatic form) or that of a human being (for visiting the surface world).
- They can also assume what they call a "combat" form which seems to transform them into a sleek, smooth, metallic silver version of whichever body shape they are using (see Natural Abilities for complete details).


PNEUMA-BIFORM
Requirements: Dolphin or Whale, Spirit d6+
The Pneuma-Biform is a creation of the Lord of the Deep. A creature of magic that combines the soul of a human and dolphin (or whale) into a single form. The dolphin and human soul survive the transformation and become a powerful force against its nightmarish creator. The Lord of the Deep.
- The PB can change forms between a single human, dolphin/whale, and a “combat” form.
Limited Metamorphosis
Adopt a single human. The PB can maintain this form for a number of hours equal to his Spirit die before needing at least six hours of rest. While in their human form they retain their physical traits and the ability to speak underwater. Items on the character are dropped when they change shape.
Combat Form
The PB can assume a combat form. The skin gets a hard, glossy, black, metallic appearance that resembles chrome or polished metal. The transformation costs 3 PPE and lasts for 5 rounds. (Maintaining Powers applies as normal.)
While in this form the PB’s Strength increases by two die type and they gain Armor +10 MDC that stacks with other types of armor.
Enemy
Pneuma-Biforms are hated by the Lord of the Deep and his minions. They will always be singled out for termination. The unique qualities of their soul combination can also be a lure for other enemies that wish to study them.
