Savage Rifts - Garnet Town Gambit

Hello all! I'm looking to start a new PbP game of Savage Rifts on the site. It will start as a Plot Point Campaign from one of the books, probably Garnet Town Gambit or Terror on the Dark Frontier. It will be geared towards run-of-the-mill Rifts characters, with an eye towards avoiding pure powergaming. (I'd like to avoid dragons, godlings, big combat robot armors, etc.) The game will be based on the site, not Discord like all these fancy pants GMs like @Stoic like to run. I'll run up to 8 players but can run with fewer. If you're interested, let me know here and cast your vote for which PPC you'd like to see played out.
Character slots are weighted towards new / newer players or those with not many games running.

I'm interested, have never played savage world , last time played Rifts was 25ish years ago so I'd need guidance with creation and such.

Haven't read either scenario so no preference, just not looking for horror/grimdark type play.

Could you be a bit more descriptive as to what you mean by Grimdark? Some people would say Rifts is inherently Grimdark.

Combat wizard is OK. I'd like to avoid most of Atlantis and South America IFs. Godlings, etc. I'm not running anything terribly horror-oriented. As far as grimdark, no more so than anything else Rifts.

Grimdark is not really an aspect of Rifts that games focus on around here. It's more heroic fantasy toned in general. The GM of this game does have another one running, if you've the inclination I suggest having a read through it and seeing if his style appeals. I read a lot of games when I was new to the site myself to gage such things.
