Background
James Franklin is a repairman working the city. He does furnaces and air conditioning and small engines (like lawn mowers). His son takes after him, from when he was young he has spent some of his free time puttering in his father's shop. For a science project, he created the chassis of a robot spider...though he left the computer work to his partner. He is bright and inventive, but shy around anyone he does not know well.

Primary power: Remote Creation
Description: This ability allows Samuel to separate part of his body mass and form it into almost anything he can accurately imagine. The remotes are able to be changed in form, and can be either animate or inanimate in form. He can use sight, hearing, or touch through a remote, but can not smell or taste through them. He can also speak through a remote (creating a working display screen may be possible, but is beyond his current abilities). Remotes are generally limited to strictly mechanical effects and are attached to his body by a thread of material about 4 times the thickness of a hair with a limited maximum range. Remotes must generally be created in a form he is familiar with, simple tools (even melee weapons) are no trouble but complex forms can require a Repair, Engineering, or Science roll to accurately reproduce. Since he is using his own mass to form his remotes, he is limited to how large they can be to roughly 10% of his body mass, anything larger would impair his physical abilities. If a remote's tether is broke or a remote destroyed (not just damaged...remotes can be reformed if damaged) then Samuel is hurt, taking damaged based on how much of his body mass is lost.
